Description of Work: Had them resolve a drainage issue where water was collecting in the pipes. They added a drain and also replaced the fan (which was noisy). Most of the work was under warranty but the labor for replacing the fan was charged at $140.

Description of Work: I had some major issues with both the contractors sent to work at my house + the management. The workers ignored my request to take their shoes off when walking on my freshly remodeled floors. When I brought the issue up with management, I was met with extreme indignant hostility. I cannot recall the name of this particular man, but I had a much better experience dealing with the other manager, who I believe, was the owner. The workers also damaged some of my property. The much nicer manager was prompt to reimburse me for the damages. I have never had radon remediation installed before, so I cannot speak to the quality of the product. They delivered on what they had outlined in their quote. I was glad that they made right what they had damaged. The hassle of their mistakes and especially the incredibly poor customer service with the one particular manager cannot lead me to fully recommend their services.

Description of Work: They replaced a broken fan on our Radon system. The technician was very professional and finished the work in a short amount of time. Our radon system is now working beautifully - and silently - again. | |The only hiccup was scheduling the job. Took about 2 weeks of "not sure, maybe we can fit you in on XX day" with no follow-up before service finally happened. | |All in all though I'd contact them again when our radon system needs help. And have a second service provider ready as a back-up if scheduling issues arise. | |

It went well. Despite the teenager they hired to do crawlspace work quitting when he found dead mice, the other guy finished and stayed all day. He even filled the holes they were coming in through.

They looked at what was going on and explained that something had been disconnected and that's why it was doing that. They told me what to look for in the future and there was no charge, none whatsoever. I even tried to tip them and they wouldn't take it. He said now when it is time to work on it hopefully you will remember us and we will come back out, which will definitely be the case.
Description of Work: The radon on system had been installed in the house previously. There is this little thing that says if this level is out of sorts you need to call. I called them and they came out right away.

Very professional. Two installers did the work. I had them install a new sump pump as well prior to sealing the pit, which is the reason for the higher price...would have been a little cheaper without the sump pump. They ran into some issues with the wiring in our garage, which is where they installed the exhaust fan (garage attic). They had to make a run to a hardware store and I ended up with three new outlets in the process...at no extra charge! I think I was more excited about the new outlets than I was the radon mitigation as I had no outlets in the garage previously; other than the one in the ceiling for the garage door opener. They kept the appointment as scheduled, and the install looks very professional...as much as 4" PVC can :) The radon reading before the install was 12, which dropped to .4 when retested about 2 weeks after the installation. Needless to say I was pleased with our experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Installation of radon mitigation system in our basement wash room. Piped out from the wash room to the garage, then up through the garage attic and vented out the garage roof. Exhaust fan installed in the garage attic. Additional installation of a replacement sump pump before sealing the sump pit.

Good experience. The workers were on-time, courteous, friendly and got the work done as promised in 1/2 day. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves, removed their shoes as they walked through our house, etc. They were patient and explained to us how the system works, how to operate and maintain the system, etc. Their price was good. The system works: our radon levels were reduced from 10.1 to 0.6. They were great during the sales period, too - they were able to get out to the house very quickly to give us a written estimate which we really appreciated. (We discovered the problem during a home buying contract contingency period and only had one day to get a written estimate so we could request a rebate from the sellers at closing. They were able to get out to the house quick to get us the estimate). Hopefully we'll never need another radon contractor, but if we do, we'd hire them again.
Description of Work: We have a split-level home that has a radon problem. Our home has four levels and both the basement (which is fully below ground) and the family room (which is 1/2 below ground) had radon problems that were higher than IEPA allowable. DuPage Radon Contractors installed a sub-slab depressurization system in the basement, and extended it below the family room slab as well. They also caulked all floor and wall joints and cracks and guaranteed the work for 5 years.
