We just moved into our home about 8 months ago, which has a well and septic system that we had never had in our previous homes, and we were experiencing severe water pressure issues.  After calling plumbers and then well pump companies, DuPage Well and Pump suggested we have our iron filtration system serviced to see if that was causing our water pressure issues.  So we call JOHNSON who we rent the equipment from (it was here when we moved in and just continued renting the same equipment not aware of how the stuff worked) and asked them to come out and have a look at the system.  They came out within a couple days and said the system we had was an older system and should be replaced and that most likely the older system had caused some iron build up on the inside of the pipes leading to reduced water pressure.  They scheduled another visit on the next business day to remove any clogged piping and to replace our older system with a newer more efficient system.  They arrived promptly first thing in the morning and set about removing the old system and much of the copper piping coming from our pressure tank to the iron filter system.  After doing the work our water pressure was at a level we had when we were on city water and sewer systems!  The work was completed in a couple hours and the service technician explained how our system worked, what had gone bad and why it would probably not happen in the future.  It was a great experience and it only cost us an additional $5.00 per month rental fee. Fantastic!  it was a great experience and Johnson delivered exceptional service!

I bought a new house out in the country. My mother used Johnson Water Conditioning's services for her own home and recommended them to me. I was skeptical on whether i would be able to use their services with me living so far from them. I called and they sent a technician straight out to my house. No Questions asked. They have since had to come back once for service on my model. Their service has been excellent. i will not use another water conditioning company as long as they are in business.

Install went smoothly. Ken was very personable. He completed the install and set up the controller based on the hardness of my water, 31. He gave me an explanation of the control panel and provided the owner's manual. He hauled away the non-functioning, 12 year old softener(GE) that had been serviced once already just 2 years after install(1yr warranty). Johnson has a LIFETIME on the complete system!!!   Paid about the same as I would have for another installed 'hardware store' brand that still only would have a 1 year warranty. This Johnson system uses far less salt in the Standard setting and would still use less salt if I needed to use the Heavy Salt setting.

We rent our water conditioning equipment from this company. They are very easy to deal with. Whenever we need any sort of repair or servicing, they send someone by the next business day. All of their technicians that I've dealt with have been very professional and knowledgeable and clear with their explanations whenever issues do arise with the equipment. Very professional and efficent all around.

Completely blew off morning appt. Callled and said would be there a few hours later. Never called or came  Took the day off of work and do not appreciate the complete disregard for their customer.

"We are sorry that this Mr. [member name removed] was not happy with the standard operating procedure that we have set up to handle the 30 to 40 customers that we provide services too every day. Our procedure is as follows: When a customer call in for any type of regular service, we ask them what date they will be available. We then let the customer know that each driver will call them between 7:00 A.M. and 7:30 A.M. on the date they have chosen to schedule a time with them. Mr. [member name removed] unfortunately misunderstood our office and thought that our driver would be there at his home to provide the service to him between 7:00 A.M. and 7:30 A.M. He was very upset when we called to let him know that we would be there between 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. He told the driver that he had to go to work and would have to reschedule for another day. He then called our office later that day wondering where the driver was. We dispatched the driver to his house immediately and took care of the service visit the same day. All calls to our office are recorded for this exact reason. We have reviewed the calls and this customer was taken care of correctly. Fine. Talked to office staff Thursday and asked for installation Monday after speaking with an informed salesman for half an hour. They called ahead on Monday as promised, showed up 15 minutes early and completed the job in 45 minutes (2 people). Price and warranty very competitive.

Called and spoke to Jason about getting an iron filter and a R.O filter installed because CWT Culligan service was not working out for me. Price worked out to almost half of what CWT Culligan was charging for the same system. Will update after the system is up and running.

After years of dealing with Culligan and getting excessively overcharged for making cameo appearances at our house only to have their equipment (that we purchased) break down over and over, so we decided to rent iron filter instead.    We were going to just rent from Culligan but then I thought to check out the competitors on Angie's List.  Well that was a smart move!!

Johnson was the best deal around for monthly rental of an iron filter - $25.  They gave a 10% off deal if we paid for the full year.  

Norm, the man that installed the system, was polite and professional.  Unlike Culligan, he took the time to explain everything to me and left the room tidy after he was done installing the equipment.  He took his time to make sure everything was set up right.

So far so good.  Our water went from orange to colorless, thanks to our new filter.

We have leased a water softener from Johnson Water Conditioning for over 8 years and find the price, equipment and service to
be excellent.  Recently we heard a noise that sounded like there was air in the line and called Johnson.  A tech was sent to inspect the unit within a few days of our call.  Ken arrived on time, inspected the unit and tested our water.  Ken was professional and knowledgeable.  The best part of leasing a water softener from Johnson is no maintenance, free check-ups, free repairs and free replacement.  We highly recommend Johnson Water Conditioning and we will continue to do business with them for many years to come.

I needed a new water softener and wanted to lease rather than buy one.  I compared Culligan and Johnson (my next door neighbors recommended Johnson).  Culligan salesman was excellent, but they were significantly more expensive.  Johnson sale was essentially done by phone, tech arrived on time, install went fine.  Equipment is cheaper-looking that Culligan's but works fine.  Lease is a minimum 2 years (salesman told me 2 over the phone but tech arrived with paperwork for 3-year lease.  I had him change it to 2 years).
Tech did an excellent job explaining to me how often and how much salt to load in softener.

Well after $10k and two days of installation, we had our new system in our basement; however it was never told to us that this "system" has to reset itself every night and the resetting process would sound like a jackhammer being run for about 2 hours.  EVERY NIGHT.  We contacted Mr. Chapman and explained that we were not happy with the outcome of the new system because firstly our water still reeked of sulphur and secondly we were not able to get any rest because of the jack hammer in our basement every night.  Mr Chapman said he would check with the installer and get back to us to see what they could do.  We asked that they just install their version of the chlorine system we had.  Well, needless to say, we never heard back from Mr. Chapman.  We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau also.  We eventually used a different company to install a chlorine system for an additional $3500 out of pocket.  Mr. Chapman has never responded to in of our inquiries or letters requesting compensation for the faulty system that his company sold us and installed in our house.  I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!
