I met with Talea (whom I strongly recommend) during the week. I wanted to reupholster our elegant well-loved sofas as I had not been able to find a similiar with clean elegant lines yet casual presence. Another concern was the fact that we have young children. The sofas remained in perfect condition for the 5 years prior to the presence of our children yet increasingly destroyed since (mostly stains and frays). I had looked into reupholsery costs and could pretty much count on $1200 per sofa plus fabric. Although other research brought me to people recommending fabrics including Sunbrella or polyester for ease of cleaning, Talea heard my desires to veer to eco-friendly fabrics, showed me the list of their eco-line and recommended cotton/linen with SmitheCoat which is guaranteed against stains and produced from a soy derivative.
I brought 2 samples home with me, one cotton and one cotton/linen blend. When my husband went with me that weekend and saw the fabrics, he selected a heavier pure linen fabric which increased the cost a great deal. Fortunately there was a $500 discount for 4th of July sale. In order to keep closer to our intended $4k budget, we ordered one sofa with the intention of ordering another when a similiar sale comes around (Labor day perhaps) We decided on a new sofa as opposed to reupholstery as we liked the style of one of the sofas and the cost to reupholser in the selected fabric would cost approx. 3500/sofa.

We purchased a dining room table that the sales associate/designer we were working with informed us was made of solid wood. The day after we made a payment for half of the total price (balance to be paid upon delivery) we received a call from the sales associate/designer that she had given us the wrong finishes swatches to choose from. The order was placed on hold until we were able to choose from the correct finishes options. In the meantime, we discovered through the manufacturer that the table is actually made of partcile board with one thin layer of veneer. We canceled the order but the company had already cashed the check even though the order was on hold! It took three weeks for us to receive a full refund, and we were informed that had the order not been on hold because of the finishes mix-up, we would have lost 30% of our deposit even though we were lied to about the quality/construction of the furniture! I have since found the same table for less than half the price at another retailer!!

The work was beautifully done, and I was impressed with their prices. I would certainly use them again.

I was told it would take 8 weeks to have my furniture delivered and it all arrived right on time. They were extremely professional and their customer service was terrific. They even called a couple of times to keep me informed about the delivery and after I had the furniture, they called again to make sure I liked it.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY PLEASANT & WHAT SEEMED TO BE AN OVERWHELMING TASK TURNED OUT TO FALL RIGHT IN PLACE ONCE I STARTED WORKING WITH JUDY BARACK.
