I bought a "Dreams" Bayside pillow top mattress . Upon delivery I realized I could feel the springs when sitting on the mattress, and I weigh 120 pounds. I called to complain and they told me they would not exchange the mattress because I did not buy the pillow top protection plan. They also told me that I should have expected to feel the springs on a mattress constructed like this. REALLY?Feeling the springs on a mattress is something that should happen after years of use -- not on a brand new one. Seems more like a defect to me as when I sat on this in the store I did not feel the springs. Upon more complaining, they agreed that I could exchange the mattress for a higher priced one, but I have to pay a second delivery charge. This is an unsatisfactory solution for a loyal Steinhafels customer. I would expect a store like this to offer a better solution to this problem -- at least free delivery if I'm willing to buy a higher priced mattress. I am highly disappointed and will not be shopping here again. I'd recommend you purchase your mattresses elsewhere. Their merchandise is second-rate.

Salesperson, Erin. Second time I've purchased from her. Very knowledgable. Will dig up as many promotions and coupons as she can to get the best price. With the first purchase, I had the sofas delivered. Amazing! They give the customer a 15 minutes window in which they will deliver! Unlike other companies with 4-8 hours!! No more sitting around waiting for delivery. Amazingly nice delivery men. Careful, courteous and cleaned up every scrap of packing. Steinhafel's is the only place I will shop for furniture in the future.

My husband & I drove 20 miles from our home to visit this store for the first time and look for various pieces. We found what we liked and Bill was helpful & professional. The items had to be ordered and we had to return for pick up. Once we got them home & unboxed,one coffee table had a scratch and the stain was not even. The same was true for one of the end tables. The side table was a unique piece - looks like small tree branches standing on end. There was a very noticable "hole" where it just looked like a piece was missing or a larger piece should have been used. We waited for the items to be reordered before making another trip. We also asked Bill & customer service both to please inspect them this time as we didn't want to make another 40 mile round trip. When Bill called & said the pieces were in he confirmed that he had inspected them. When my husband arrived he inspected them and again the side table was very defective with a large scratch & piece missing. He was brought to a manager who wouldn't even look him in the eye & sent him to someone else. My husband told him he was not making another trip & said the table needed to be delivered free of charge. This was acceptable. The item was delivered on 6/5/13 and guess what? They delivered to us the first one we had originally had! Of course we didn't accept it & decided this was "three strikes, you're out" . I cancelled this item with Nicole in their customer service office. Her attitude was rude with not even an apology. We will NEVER go here again. Very poor quality control among other things.

Bought a loft bed. When delivered, the slats for the lower bed were not delivered. Spoke to the delivery manager who only offered to have them delivered the next day. I explained I have twins 4YO boys and I was concerned there was just a wood frame on the bottom of the bed. The deliver manager was unwilling to do anything except arrange next day delivery even after I explained their original beds had been taken apart so they had no bed to sleep in. I even offered to meet him half way to pick up the missing pieces, which he would not do. Missing pieces were not put on the delivery truck but delivery manager was not at all helpful. Next time, I will shop at a more reliable store. Update; Missing pieces were delivered the next day. I was contacted by a supervisor who refunded my delivery fee and apologized for the error. I am very satisfied with the follow up from the company. However, the attitude of the delivery manager was very poor.
