Description of Work
I used spring green last year for fertilization and aeration. I am now having my husband do it this year so I called and canceled my "subscription" at the end of last year. (you have to or it will automatically renew) In March of this year, they still came to my house and aerated my yard with a bill attached to my door. I called and asked to speak with the manager. Steve came on the phone and apologized for what happened and told me to throw away the bill. I thought this was the end with this company. Today, I found ANOTHER bill hanging on my door saying they fertilized my yard. I called you twice now to cancel this. So, I called AGAIN and spoke with the manager Steve again and told him about the situation. I told him I spoke with him back in March and he lied and said it wasn't him. (I remember his voice and his name, PLUS he told me he was the owner! Hard to forget that) I told him this time I need something in writing explaining that I canceled their services. HE HANGS UP ON ME!!!! I call back and ask for him again. He will not come to the phone. I now am put on the phone with the Office Manager Chris (who is a woman by the way) and she tells me that I spoke with HER back in March and that I didn't cancel the fertilization, but just the aeration. Are you serious?? (I didn't NOT speak with her. I spoke with Steve. I know if I spoke with a woman) She then proceeds to tell me that I didn't cancel all of their services, I just canceled the aeration. This is not true! I told her I called and canceled ALL of their services TWICE now and they keep coming to my house. I requested a letter in writing that they will no longer provide their services and she refused to send this letter.
On April 1, 20011 Spring- Green received a call from [member] after we had aerated her lawn and she asked to cancel this service. We called the aeration. At that time, there was nothing mentioned to cancel all services. So on April 22, 2011 we returned to her home to spray her lawn with the Spring application of fertilizer, weed control, and crabgrass pre-emergent. She calls that afternoon very upset that we had done service on her lawn. she spoke very rudely to Steve. Then called again and spoke with Chris. She has not paid for neither visit, and was reassured by Christ that her service had been canceled and we would not be returning to her lawn to do anything more. We also explained to her that we do not send out cancellation letters. During the 25+ years in business we have never had a situation like this.
