Description of Work: Replaced a deck with benches that was a number of years old and made of pine with cedar. Project went well and they made some nice details in the trim of the deck. I will be re-hiring the company for other projects.

Description of Work: We planned to install James Hardie siding ourselves, so had read the installation guide & knew how it was to be installed. Events came up & we could not, so we contacted the James Hardie rep & found out Dillman Bros was a preferred contractor for them. Dillman's gave us a good price so we went with them for the job. Andreas was the head of the crew that they sent. James Hardie siding requires more time to install than vinyl siding. They did not install it correctly. They did not use starter strips, used the wrong nails, did not make weather cuts & the list goes on. You could actually pull the trim boards around the windows off with your hand. We told Dillman Bros about this & Howie came out & looked it over. He agreed that it wasn't done correctly & would speak to Andreas. However nothing changed, so I called Dillman's back to see if they had another crew who was more familiar with installing James Hardie siding. He said Andreas was as good as any they had. So I told him they were done & I would get somebody else to do the job correctly. I hired another contractor to do the job right (after we tore off what Dillman's had done). I paid Dillman's what they said I owed for what was done by Andreas. No effort was made on their part to this day to "make it right". If we had let them continue it would have voided our warranty with James Hardie. I was very disappointed with James Hardie for having Dillman's as a "preferred contractor". Also very disappointed with Dillman Bros, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: I met with them several times and asked for additional pricing on a couple of extra items I wanted but they never responded so I went elsewhere.

Description of Work: My roof was leaking, so I called them. They came out the next day, told me what was wrong and gave me an estimate. It was reasonable and I decided to go with them. They came out a few days later and repaired the roof. A few weeks later there was a thunderstorm and the roof leaked. I called them the next day and left a message. Several days later I was still waiting for a call when we had another storm and the roof leaked again!!! I called them again and left another message. It was a rainy week and we had another storm. I called them and finally got a person to come out to fix it the next day. It hasn't leaked since, but it was very frustrating not being able to talk to someone when the problem first started. They did apologize and said they had been busy. I just wish they had returned my call to tell me to let me know what was going on.
