We have over insured our house for the past 5 years. It is insured for more than the value, plus, have had all the in code upgrade for our insurance house if there was ever a tragedy. Now we have had a tragedy and Nick has only been willing to pay out 1/5th of what the actual price is for every single service. He has been dragging his feet; every time it is his responsibility to do something, he drags his feet. It takes him 5 to 10 days and then as soon as he is finished with his responsibilities, he expects us to have an answer in response within 12 hours. Never mind that we both have full time jobs, and this is his full time job. Allstate is getting dropped as soon as this is over. I tell everyone I meet, if they have Allstate Insurance to drop them. I will not use them in the future. It is horrible and it is on going. The fire was in August, it is now November, the claim is still not settled, and no work has been started. They are treating me like I started the fire six feet above me while my children were sleeping. Everything is okay, and everybody is fine thanks to a responsive neighbor.
