We called for an estimate for a leaking roof.  We made an appointment for them to come out.  I left work early to make this appointment, but they did not show up.  They didn't call or leave a message.  I finally called them after waiting 20 minutes past the appointment.  When I called, the guy said "Oh yeah.  I probably should have called you.  We can't come today."  He didn't offer any other solutions but asked me to reschedule.  Very frustrated with their lack of professionalism.  We will use someone else.

I called ABC roofing Dec. 20 to get an estimate. They took my information and said it will be passed on to an estimator. I called a day or 2 later and they said he has my info and I will be contacted shortly. 1 week passes and no response. I called again after Christmas and was told the same thing. It's now been over 2 weeks since my initial phone call and not even 1 phone call from them.

I got in touch with the secretary and I was told I would be contacted for an appointment. I never heard back, though I didn't follow up again either.

ABC roofing was almost finished replacing my neighbor's roof when I realized I could ask them to nail back a piece of fascia that had fallen off of our house in a high wind. I walked over and asked and they were able to do the job on the spot. I was very happy with how quickly they did a project that would have been a whole lot of trouble to contract out -- it took about 10 minutes. I appreciated ABC's willingness to add to their workload on what had already been a productive day.

I researched Angie's List and received 8-10 quotes ranging from $4775 to $9390 for the same job. Same shingle manufacturer and shingle, but some variations in vents. In some cases, the permit was an extra charge (not with ABC Roofing). Some companies wanted a down payment (not ABC Roofing) and most would not accept credit cards (ABC roofing did). One company specifically indicated that they would not be responsible for any damage to my driveway from their equipment. ABC had all the right answers to my questions but I was concerned that they were the cheaper of all the quotes. They provided a list of references and I called several in my area and all were quite complementary to ABC Roofing. After making the decision to use ABC Roofing, we had several rainy days and they were not able to complete the work. The first day that the weather was good, they completed the work while my wife and I were at work. Their cleanup was good and the roof looks very nice. Only time will tell if the job was performed properly, but based on the references, I feel sure that it was.
