It went very well. We worked with Ken McKendree. All of my questions were answered completely and quickly. On the first day of the installation, the work crew arrived on schedule, introduced themselves, and got right to work on removing the roof and gutters. They started around 8am. By 3 pm we had a new roof, ridge vent, and exhaust stacks/vents. On day 2, the gutter team arrived and installed the new gutters, downspouts, and gutter leaf guards. They started around 730am and were finished by 3pm. The gutter team installed an additional downspout for me to provide some relief for an original poor design when the house was built. The team did a really nice job. A few days later the copper gutters and downspouts came in and were installed. (they were a late addition to the job, otherwise we would have had it all done on the same day the gutter team was there.) The copper gutters run on the long side of our 8x10 garden shed, and direct rain into a rain barrel on the far side of the shed. The look and work perfectly. We are very happy with the the copper gutters and downspouts. The same day the team was here to install the copper, they also made an adjustment to a downspout at my request to provide more access to a outside water faucet. Overall, we are delighted. Ken was great about keeping us informed every step of the way. A few days after the copper install, we reveived the final invoice along with a waiver of lien. The waiver was at my request and not required. We are very please and would highly recomend Countryside.

Work went very well, work done as scheduled, very professional, excellent job of clean-up. Their work was of the highest quality. Several of our neighbors commented on the quality.

IN JULY 2008 WE HAD A HAIL STORM COME THROUGH THAT PUT HOLES IN VINYL SIDING AND CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO SIDING, ROOF AND WINDOWS. COUNTRYSIDE WAS REFERRED TO US BY NEIGHBORS THAT HAD NEW WINDOWS INSTALLED IN 2007. PAT DOLAN CAME OUT TO LOOK AT THE JOB. HE CAME IN WITH A STRAIGHT HONEST APPROACH THAT CONCENTRATED ON MAINLY QUALITY--( NOT PROMISING THE WORLD AS OTHER CONTRACTORS DID ) THE PRODUCTS THEY USE ARE ONLY PREMIUM PRODUCTS--MUCH BETTER THAN ORIGINAL ON THE HOUSE. PAT AND CREW TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING FROM GETTING PERMITS TO ORDERING TRIVIAL SUPPLIES--EVEN CONTACTING THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND CORRECTING A FLAWED MEASUREMENT ON THE ROOF BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY, SO WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO. THE WORK CREWS SHOWED UP WHEN SCHEDULED AND ALWAYS KNOCKED TO LET US KNOW WHEN THEY GOT THERE AND WHEN THEY LEFT. ROOFING WAS DONE IN A DAY-- SIDING AND WINDOWS IN FOUR DAYS. IT WAS ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE HOW THE DIFFERENT CREWS WORKED TOGETHER ( ALL IN COUNTRYSIDE UNIFORMS AND POLITE) TO GET THE JOB DONE. THERE WAS NO DUMPSTER LEFT IN DRIVEWAY FOR A MONTH LIKE OTHERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND ALL TRASH WAS TAKEN AWAY DAILY. ALL DEBRIS AND NAILS WERE CLEANED UP AS THEY WERE WORKING. I WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY, ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND COMMUNICATION WITH PAT AND HIS CREW. HE CAME IN SELLING QUALITY AND DID NOT LET ME DOWN ONCE. I WOULD RECOMMEND COUNTRYSIDE TO ANYONE THAT NEEDED WORK DONE TO THEIR HOME.

It was outstanding! The only hold up were with the insurance companies and the releasing of funds, but Countryside was the best when it came to service and workmanship. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!!

The job was well done from start to finish. I have worked for a large highly respected construction company for over 25 years. I was glad to see that Countryside works a lot like I do and like I try to teach our young engineers to work. They planned their work so that they were in and out as fast as possible. Materials were delivered in advance, and they never ran out. I have the old fashioned value that work should be done as if it s your own house. Too many contractors are out to make a fast buck. Not Countryside, just one example of Countryside going the extra mile was extending the bathroom vent so that it no longer discharged into the attic. The crews take pride in their work and are organized. They showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned up every day. They hauled away the garbage every day. My wife's one complaint, was that they didn't leave a dumpster in the driveway for a month so that she could get rid of some extra stuff! Every time I look around my neighborhood and I see the sloppy work my neighbors are having done and the trash including old windows and siding being left on the lawn for days at a time, I know again that we made the right choice in choosing Countryside.

When our neighborhood was hit by a micro burst with 70-mile an hour winds and 1-inch hail ours was just one of about 200 houses that were badly damaged. We called Countryside Roofing and Siding and they came out to help us assess the damage within a couple of hours. They were very reassuring at a traumatic time and also very informative and realistic about the process of working with the insurance company and making the repairs. They were extremely helpful, professional and made the repairs very quickly. Their crews work extremely hard and do a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves. They do high quality work using high quality products and now the house looks better than it did when it was new.

Having done the first floor roof myself, I had some specific ideas on how I wanted the second story roof done. Pat came out to do an estimate, listened to my ideas, gave great advice, and took detailed notes. He was very easy to work with. I wanted a new product installed called the "The Edge" vent. He had not used this particular product in the past, but was willing to install it. I also wanted hand nailing which he was willing to do. The installation went very well and his crew was able to get the job finished in one day. The cleanup of debris was very thorough.

George Shaw was prompt, professional, and affable. We noticed his detailed knowledge of building codes, and he was able to answer nearly all of our questions about the windows (I found answers to all my other questions on the window manufacturer's website). Although we went with another contractor, we will keep Countryside in mind for future home improvement projects.

The roofing job went very well. It all started with a leak in our family room ceiling. We noticed a leak after a heavy rain, and had the roof damage assessed by our insurance company. We were told that our leaky roof was just the tip of the iceberg. It seems that when we had our house painted, the painter painted all of our soffit vents closed (we never noticed). We had very little air flow into the attic from the soffit vents. To make matters worse, we found black mold in our attic, caused by the two upstairs bathroom exhaust fans that vented into the attic, not out of the roof! And since we had very little air flow in the attic, black mold was the result (not the dangerous kind of mold, thankfully!) Countryside gave us very detailed information about what needed to be done to our roof. They removed and replaced roughly 27 sheets of plywood from the backside of our roof. They carried each rotted piece of plywood to the front of the house and dropped them in a dump trailer that was sitting on the driveway. They were very careful. We were very concerned that our flowers and landscaping would be ruined during this roof replacement process, but it wasn't. Countryside took extra measures to cover all of our flowers and bushes with dropcloths, and they put sheets of plywood and dropcloths over our deck to protect the boards. They even put a drop-cloth over half of our pool. The crew of 7 or 8 guys worked tirelessly from approx. 6:30am till 7pm. They did a thorough job, and did a great clean-up job when they were finished. We were very pleased. Their price was a little high compared to the other 3 quotes that we got, but they offered coupons on different items, which brought their price more inline with the other contractors. The reason we gave Countryside the job, was the customer service provided by Pat Dolan. He answered every question that we had and addressed every concern. We are a very detail oriented family, and he went over every single item with us in great detail. We felt comfortable and confident that we were going to get a top quality job for our money. Countryside is also doing our gutters and downspouts and siding. The results will be in a different report however.

They were excellent! They were very good about touching up issues. They were even out recently to touch something up, and I didn't even know about it. The supervisor on site was superb. They did everything on time and finished the job in about 3 weeks. We even told them that they can show our home if they want. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

They did a fantastic job. Went a lot quicker than I anticipated. All was finished in about half a day, with the exception of the chimney, but that was due to the supplier and a backorder issue. They came back to install it a couple days later. Cleanup was super!

We did extensive research and comparisons when we picked a roofer last summer. Countryside was by far the most professional from the sales perspective. Everything was in order including licenses, insurance and references. Once the work begun however, everything went downhill. When the shingles were delivered, we found them sitting in our parkway, and the pallet of shingles was damaged on one side. We later heard from our neighbor, that when the truck came to drop off the shingles, the truck attempted to place the whole pallet on our roof (which I'm convinced would have put a whole in our roof from the weight). In attempting to maneuver around our tree, the pallet became unstable, fell off the hook, and smashed to top of their own truck. We informed our sales rep. of what we heard. He apologized and said they hadn't heard that report from the deliverer, but that that was a separate company, not theirs. However, when the work started, within the first half hour, the door bell rang and one of the workers was apologizing that he broke our picnic table. There it was with a piece of plywood they tossed off the roof piercing the middle of it. He said he would repair it, which he did nicely. When the work was done, we began finding problem after problem: -Their truck hit the side of our house with its mirror, they attempted to repair with a nail through the middle of it. The gutters on the front of the house were mangled from the ladder they were climbing up and down. (They later replaced this free of charge). Did not place a tarp over the side of the house, and the siding is all scratched. (We complained about the truck damage, and they said, since the siding is old and in bad condition already, that all they can do is give us a $100 credit if we use them for the siding. Yeah right! -The roofers hammered roofing nails too close to the edges of the roof, multiple nails were sticking out through the trim on the underside of the roof. -Roofers left garbage and nails all over my neighbors driveway resulting in a flat tire on his car. (They did credit our bill for this) -Left a large black scuff (several inches long, and a half inch wide) on another side of our house. Since by this point, we had no faith in the company, we hired an inspector to check out the work. He did say the roof was good, but they did not cut the holes big enough for the vents (they were half blocked inside the attic.) When we notified Countryside, they did remedy this. (they also told us by this time they fired the entire crew that worked on our house.) After all was done, we left a message for our sales rep's supervisor to express our dissatisfaction. Our sales rep then called us instead complaining that we left the message, and said he had the situation under control. We never heard from the supervisor. This spring Countryside had the gall to call and try to sell us siding!!! We will definitely not be using Countryside again!

"I SPOKE WITH THE MEMBER TODAY (AUGUST 8,2008) REGARDING HIS EXPERIENCE WITH OUR COMPANY. HE APPRECIATED OUR FOLLOW-UP REGARDING THE REPORT AND DID SAY THAT WE DID RECTIFY ALL OF THEIR COMPLAINTS WITH RESPECT TO THE ROOF. HE DID MENTION THAT HIS SIDING WAS NOT IN THE BEST OF CONDITIONS PRIOR TO US DOING HIS ROOF. AN OFFER WAS EXTENDED FOR HIM OR HIS WIFE TO CALL ANY OF THE 3 PARTNERS IF THERE IS ANY WAY FOR US TO ASSIST THEM IN THE FUTURE. ONCE AGAIN, THE MEMBER APPRECIATED THE TELEPHONE CALL."

Excellent. The sales rep came out and worked with me on getting a good price and working with what I had to spend. When I had a problem a few months later with a part of the siding that had a small possible leak. They came right out and fixed it in a reasonable time. They were honorable and great to work with. I even recommended them to my postal carrier for his home.

We were very happy with the company: great communication -- quick to respond, honest, trustworthy, great team of workers. Their work was performed on time and to our specifications. Very, very happy with the work and company. Just terrific. Very, very pleased. Excellent company. There are many dishonest, shady roofers out there -- Countryside is just the opposite -- totally professional and legitimate.

I called a dealer who recommended Countryside. They were very prompt and responsive from the initial quote to answering my questions. The installation crew was very professional and courteous and took a lot of pride in their work. They did an excellent job of installation as well as addressing my concerns about one window where they adjusted the window as best as possible since the frame was not square (not their fault). They did a good job cleaning up afterwards and even capped the windows which they did not replace. It was a pleasant and painless experience from start to finish. The windows look great and I was extremely satisfied.

I had a different roofing company do work about 2 years ago, and they said at that time, my roof was in good shape. Another estimate to resolve the current problem came in at $175 to replace shingles. Not only that, he stated my current shingles were good quality (this said before Countryside visited) and my roof should last 20 more years. Countryside also recommended that I replace a skylight, that is only 5 years old and has had no issues; and estimated repairing both upstairs windows, even though only one currently needed attention. I didn't accept the company's bid. I also question the company's integrity. They could be right, maybe I do need a new roof, but if so, why is this the only company in 2 years that has made that statement?

"WE HAVE RESPONDED TO THE ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER WITH OUR APOLOGIES FOR INITIALLY MISSING THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME. THESE SAME SENTIMENTS WERE EXPRESSED ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT AND ONE OF THE OWNERS WAS AT THE HOME BY 4:00 PM THAT AFTERNOON. ONCE AGAIN OUR APOLOGIES WERE EXPRESSED. SINCE WE HAD JUST WORKED AND COMPLETED THEIR NEIGHBOR'S ROOF WITHIN A MONTH OF THE APPOINTMENT (OF WHICH THEY WERE QUITE SATISFIED WITH OUR WORK), WE INSPECTED AND MEASURED THE ROOFS OF THE HOME, GARAGE AND A PLAYHOUSE TO THE REAR OF THE HOME. AS THE HOME AND GARAGE HAD A MANUFACTURED ROOFS, SOME INSPECTION WAS MADE FROM THE GROUND. BECAUSE OF BEING LATE FOR THE APPOINTMENT, THE OWNER RETURNED TO THE OFFICE, COMPILED AND TYPED A PROFESSIONAL ESTIMATE AND HAD IT BACK TO THE HOMEOWNER EARLY THE FOLLOWING MORNING. FROM THAT TIME AT LEAST TWO FOLLOW-UP PHONE MESSAGES HAVE GONE UNRETURNED. ADDITIONALLY, A FOLLOW-UP LETTER HAS BEEN SENT TO THE HOMEOWNER EXPRESSING OUR APOLOGIES ON HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT OUR COMPANY. WE HAVE NOT STARTED NOR HAVE CONDUCTED ANY WORK ON THIS RESIDENCE. WE SINCERELY DO CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT HOW WE GO ABOUT CONDUCTING BUSINESS."

The actual new roof looks great! The tear off process was extremely messy. Tarps were carlessly placed and not monitered to receive roofing material effectively. We had shingles, nails and new materials everywhere. Workers were sloppy with pop cans, cigarette butts and other litter as well. The gutter crew was three days late in showing, though the new gutters look great. New facia work looks nice though was almost placed over rotten wood. The same was true with wood with the gutter installation. Had I not happened to appear before new materials were installed, I believe the new materials would have been placed over rotten wood. Work crews are sub-contractors who speak only minimal English. The project manager was present 1x only during roof installation after I called to complain about the mess. A small section of siding was damaged (bent) during shingle installation unnecessarily; the facia (siding) crew supposedly repaired it though it is not. Situation is currently unresolved.

They replaced 17 windows for us and we couldn't be happier. The quality of the windows was just as good as the quality of work. We own several different rental properties and will use them again if need be. I would recommend them to anyone!
