Steve and his staff were extremely responsive and professional. I highly recommend this company.

I called the company to give me a price on several things including evaluating the standpipe in the basement so that I could move my washer and dryer to the basement.  Garin came out and took one look at the scary maze of ancient plumbing and said, more or less, "Wow."  The following day he came out with the owner, Steve Ray, and co-worker Ryan.  I sat in the kitchen and listened while they conferred in the basement.  This went on for well over an hour.  When they were done, Steve Ray explained to me what needed to be done to update and correct the scary maze and gave me an estimate.  I decided to go with it.  It was something I was going to have to do sooner or later and the current state of the plumbing was making it difficult to do any improvements to the house.  
Steve Ray sent me a contract.  I reviewed and signed it and at the beginning of the following week they started.  They were here for three full days and a few hours on another to wrap up some things.  There were usually two guys here at a time.  (I met a fourth co-worker, Jacko.)  Everyone was professional, courteous, and wore paper footies in the house.  It was a noisy time but that was the nature of the work.
At the end of each day, Ryan gave me a walk-through of what had been done that day.  I appreciated this very much.  They worked it out so that I wasn't without water for more than a handful of hours.  I always had toilet and water services in some part of the house at the end of the day.  
When they were finished, Steve Ray came out to inspect the work.  I sat in the kitchen again and listened to him confer with Ryan.  It was more than a cursory look around and I appreciated Steve Ray's thoroughness.  Finally, Steve Ray told me to be on the lookout for any little leaks that might occur, especially under sinks where leaks are not always immediately noticeable.  I did this and noted a couple.  They came out right away and fixed them.
It's now ten days later and everything is peachy and this includes increased water pressure and no more bad odors.  I'm so glad I had this done.  I would hire them again in an instant.

I had gotten about 4 different quotes for a water based sump pump system.  The first quote was by telephone only.  For the 2nd and 3rd  quotes I could tell the tech was thinking hard how to get a water based system installed.  When Garron from Steve Ray showed up to estimate the work I found out why two of the other vendors where struggling.  We have a Radon system, and the seal on the cap limits what can be installed.  Garron showed me all the details of how the the system would be installed, how it would tie in to the plumbing, and how it would drain.  The estimate was about the same as the uninformed telephone estimate, and a little more that the estimates that removed the radon cap.  Thanks to Garron's complete explanation, I had no doubt taht Steve Ray was the right plumber, and the Base Pump was our best solution. 

The installation is done and I will use Steve Ray Plumbing again.

The facet refused to completely turn off after watering the garden area.  It was a slow leak and for the moment corrected it by leaving the hose attached.   I gave Steve Ray a call the next morning and he had it fixed the next day.  This is the second time we've used Steve Ray,  and I have them on the my phone list as he will be my first call for the next plumbing issus.

Ryan did a great job. He was punctual and professional and talked to the guys doing the waterproofing to determine how much of the pipe he needed to remove. On the second day, he went upstairs and determined he also needed to replace part of the drain pipe under the sink so the new basement pipes would fit better around the support beams. The new pipes look much better than the old ones he removed.

Very quick response to our call, came the same day and arrived at the appropriate time. The plumber was very professional and polite. He gave us a quoted price before doing the job and was able to proceed with getting everything completed very quickly. Great experience and we will certainly use them again as needed.

Wow! Ryan came out promptly which was appreciated as I had a flooded basement. What a joy! He was very polite very professional and explained everything really well without acting like I was stupid. Very respectful. We discussed options. He was informative, forthright, and not at all pushy. I felt like he really knew what he was doing. He looked at a few other things I had wanted done, but got sidetracked by this little disaster. He is going to get estimates on everything we discussed and can come back as early as Tuesday. (Today is Thursday). And they are busy from all the rain/flooding. Very accommodating. Also want to mention that when Steve Ray called he was very polite and understanding of the urgency. Never hesitated to get someone here ASAP, only 1 hour! Overall, best experience of any tradesman I have dealt with. I would recommend but want to keep them for myself :) they would get all A's but I honestly can't assess the quality just yet. The sump pump sounds great though!

I purchased the needed sink etc. Ryan and a second plumber arrived on schedule. The most time-consuming job was replacing a fifty-year-old lead drain pipe that had split and was partially enclosed in a basement inner wall. (not in concrete) It took four hours or more to remove the old kitchen sink, cut out the old pipes, replumb the drains for the double basin sink, and install the sink, faucet and disposal. In the basement, they also replaced the toilet's complete flush valve kit, well as the tank to bowl kit.  Finally, they replaced the drain pipes on an old metal double basin laundry sink. Both guys were very pleasant and professional. The bill for the two plumbers totaled 1850.00

Steve and his crew were very professional and cleaned up after themselves and probably left the place better than I had it they worked on the plumbing for about two weeks or more and earn their money

Very well. Our house and toilets are very old - circa 1906 - but we love them. When two of them stopped functioning we called steve ray plumbing and they came within the hour. The plumber was both professional and personable. He told us that he didn't have any mechanicals on his truck that were compatable with our toilets, so he called around until he found a supply house that had the right mechanicals. He then left to pick them up. He made the appropriate installations and did not charge us for the time he took to go pick up the right hardware. Their business card is the only plumber on our cork board of reliable service firms and their phone number is on my i-phone under "plumber'. HIGHLY recommend!

Great! I called in morning around 11, they were here by 2, and gone by 3:30.

No complaint with the work.  Very professional, pleasant, skilled.  I made the error of not asking for a quote ahead of time and was taken off guard by the combination of service call and minimum one hour labor charge for something that  literally took well under 30 minutes.  [sadly, after the fact I find that there is a coupon for Angie's list subscribers - but that's my fault, not the provider.] Just make sure you are aware of this minimum ahead of time.  I cannot recommend for very small jobs like mine, but believe you will receive excellent service and a reasonable competitive cost on larger jobs.

Ryan came out, looked at what had to be done, went to the truck and got necessary replacement parts, and installed them.  He also explained that due to the way the pipe was initially connected to the main waste pipe in the wall, it might not hold, but for now everything was great.  He didn't think there would be any trouble.  The original material was metal and corroded. I asked for PVC pipe and that was what was used. After installation he checked to make sure there were no leaks.  He was quick, polite and professional.

Very prompt service, right on time, efficient. I can state many more superlatives, but the best part was how accommodating the job was performed. The focus was clearly on what would meet my needs and get the job done without undue expense. They even offered to use some copper pipe I had already purchased to save me money. To reiterate, the job was done contentiously, cleanly, quickly, and accommodated my specific needs perfectly. I would recommend them highly, to anyone.

Garran arrived as scheduled, assessed the problem and made recommendations for resolving.  My home was built in 1949 and the galvanized pipes had not been updated to PVC and were starting to rust through. The estimate provided was very reasonable and Garran was available to make the repairs immediately.  He called Ryan in for assistance.  The two of them kept me appraised as they worked on the project.  I was very pleased with the work and will call Steve Ray plumbing in the future as the need arises.
