Our inspector, Dave, ran a little late. However, he worked quickly when he got here. He went up on the roof and took pictures and then came down and showed us that the roof was in really good shape for it's age. He found one missing shingle and replaced it for us with a near matching left-over from his truck (an additional fee of $50.00 over the Angie's deal). He caulked around the vents and some exposed nails and was done before you know it. He even e-mailed us some of the photos.
It was a real comfort to know that the roof is in good shape and there is no need at this time to replace it.

I made a mistake of paying for this "attic inspection" - other vendors gave estimates on what needed to be done w/o any charge.
I have learned not to purchase "inspection" deals - vendors who want to provide services work this service into their business model.
One of the guys attempted to make a 'joke' about getting lunch and asked my wife to make him a sandwich -almost implying that since she was there it was something the woman of the house should do. - My wife owns & runs a gardening service out of our home and she was not amused with the joke.

The technician inspected the attic and later provided an estimate for additional insulation.  I did not use this company for the insulation due to their excessive cost.

They came in well under the estimate. They found a few things that didn't need fixed that they had included in the estimate which brought the cost down. They were strong with their communication and kept us well informed on what was going on.

We had issues from the very beginning. The sample was supposed to take 3-4 days for us to receive for approval- it took 4 weeks. My attempts to contact the salesperson for status updates often went unanswered.long story short we signed a contract for service in July and our work was not completed until November. Many broken promises. They told me that they oversold their season and they didn't have enough crew left to complete the jobs in a timely manner. We had used apex for a new roof installation about two years ago and we were satisfied with their service. Whereas I am happy with the end results on the exterior work just done -- the journey to get there was not worth the aggravation.

When dealing with samples and trying to retrieve them if we do not have them, it can be out of our hands on waiting to receive the samples. We hired a horrible roofing company (Nyberg Exteriors) to put an ice and water shield on our roof.  The other company did not do it properly, so APEX Exteriors came out to fix it.  APEX Exteriors came out quickly to give us a quote.  Unfortunately, the weather got cold very quickly so the work will not be able to be performed until the Spring.  But we trust APEX Exteriors and will hire them when the weather permits working on the roof.

We called Apex for an estimate to repair our roof. Our insurance had already sent an adjuster and based on positive reviews here we met with Apex to discuss repairs. Apex looked over the information our insurance company had sent us and said he'd contact them to discuss our claim. We didn't hear back so after a couple weeks I called Apex. They asked who I'd dealt with and connected me with his voice mail. We still haven't heard from them

Basically I had an appointment set with these individuals. The first person called and said he could not make it. Then their office called and did some rearranging and sent out a different individual which  I thought was very professional. Many months have passed and they never provided me with even an estimate, which I thought was strange. I have heard nothing from them since so the moral of the story is we hired a different company to put a roof on. We paid cash so I don't know what this company's problem is. Obviously they only like insurance claim money. Ambulance chasers.

Outstanding job. Even came back to address a question that I had. There was no additional charge for this third trip out to our home. Everyone was professional and surpassed my expectations for the calibre of work they have done!

Even though it is too late in the season to schedule the repair. Oval gave us some great suggestions to survive the winter and gave a rough estimate for the work to be done next season.

We had a confirmed appointment for 4:30 pm on October 6, 2014. My wife rushed from work to make sure she was here on time for the estimate. When she arrived home at about 3:45 pm she found a note from Oval Royse (estimator) stating "sorry we missed you". The note was marked at about 2:00 pm.
My wife called Oval Royse's cell phone (number left on the card) and got his voice mail. She left a message. My 
wife then called the office and spoke to a woman that said she would contact Oval Royse and call my wife back.
Well here it is 7:30 pm and no call back from Oval Royse or the woman at the office.
There was a voice mail on my phone that I received after work from Oval Royse. It said that he had finished up an appointment and I was his last one for the day. He said he would like to come over early. It appears as though he did and for some reason decided to leave a note saying he was sorry he missed us.
It seems to me it would be obvious that we would be missed since the appointment was for 4:30 pm.
Why even set appointment times if you are going to show up whenever you want.
Needless to say I would neither use this company to perform any work or allow them to set an appointment for an estimate.

Overall, this was a great experience.  Of the three bids obtained, Apex was the most competative and I felt offered the best services and products for the price.  Everyone was very easy to work with and responsive to our needs.  The sales rep, Ken Coppes, who came out to do the estimate was my point of contact from start to finish and I have nothing but great things to say about him.  We had a few miscommunications during the install with the crew, but Ken made sure everything got done as I had asked and did an excellent job keeping me informed and responding immediately to any questions I had.  Roof and insulation took 2 days and gutters took another two days.  Crew worked hard and were efficient.  Cleaned up well when they were done.  I would easily recommend them to anyone.

Why Apex is rated this high? My experience went from amazing to what is happening? I called Apex to evaluate my roof after hail storm. They immediately scheduled a contractor to inspect the roof. He came out on a Saturday July 12, 2014 morning. He was very professional; he informed me that I needed a new roof and explained the process I needed to go through. He also said that he would like to be with the insurance company contractor/adjustor when they evaluate the roof. I called my insurance company the same day and put in a claim. The adjustor from the insurance called immediately and scheduled an appointment next day. Then, I called the Apex rep. and I was told that he couldn’t be there next day since he had a previous commitment – very understandable. He asked me to push it back another day or two. It was reasonable requests, so I called the insurance adjustor and rescheduled it for the following Saturday July 19th. I informed Apex rep. via text message and voicemail. I waited for Apex to confirm this appointment for couple of days, but no one called me back. So I decided to call Apex office next Tuesday morning, the receptionist answered the phone, she was pleasant. I informed her of my situation, she said she will talk to the Apex rep. and get back to me by end of business. I never heard back from anyone for next several days – so I decided to do the roof inspection with the insurance adjustor without the Apex representative. Everything went very well with the insurance adjustor – my claim was approved. So I called Apex office again – same receptionist answered. I told her that no one has called me about this for a week and half. She again assured me that she will personally follow-up with appropriate people and get back to me. That’s the end of the follow-up. I waited another week or two to see whether someone will call and follow-up with me. I was wrong – now it had been more than month and no one has called or followed up with me. I asked again...??? Why Apex is rated this high? I think they have too much business, so they can ignore new clients!!! I hope someone from Apex senior management will read this feedback and take necessary steps to prevent this kind of mismanagement of customers.

I saw Angie's List reviews. There were comments of some people saying they were good. The only catch is so far they are okay, they are not horribly bad but they promised that they would perform my job in 2-3 weeks, but it has been 6 weeks already and I have to wait another week. That was after I wanted them, which means they originally planned me in October, which is almost 9 weeks. They promised me it would only be for 2-3 weeks. I really regret that I did not ask to talk to them within the time in the contract that I signed with them. There was lack of communication. I asked them to come out for the estimation of the roof and one for the estimation of the window, and there was a case that nobody showed up.

I'm not very happy with Apex or Angies List. 
I had an Angies List special $150 for roof maintenance. They said they were not able to complete the work because they say I need a new roof. They sent me pictures. Fine. But what did I get for $150? They said Angies List would not refund my $150. And I could put the money towards a new roof. So I asked for an estimate several months ago. Nothing. It's too late for them to be considered when I do!
Surely there is something Apex or Angies list could do for me. I am not very happy. Been an Angies List member for many years but may rethink this.
