Great! I called some other companies who could not come out for a few days. Shavitz was able to schedule me for that night. Even though I had to pay extra for a night and weekend rate, the technician found that it was one simple part that needed replacement. So the overall repair was very inexpensive, and they did not take advantage of the situation. They even left me with some ideas about what I could do in the future to extend the life of my unit. Very ethical and competent company. They are now my go-to HVAC company.

Professional, friendly, positive attitude -- Shawn Bensinger provided excellent service. Explained everything clearly; worked efficiently. Nice sense of humor, a bonus.

With every check up of my maintenance plan, I am reminded why I appreciate this local business. One of my systems is relatively old, and I know that it will eventually need replacing. The service technicians are always professional and thorough, and detail all of the issues and how things work. They offer information, and options for handling issues. They are understanding of budgetary constraints and respectful of homeowners' time. This time was no different -- Cornelius was polite and thorough, explaining what was going on with my AC system. He could have sold me a recharge but instead explained how things looked and what I might see down the road. He documented his recommendation to save me the charge for the service call if I need the recharge later in the season. I couldn't be happier with Shavitz's service.

They are a very reputable company, but they are very pricey. I got a new system/furnace and I got several bids. I felt they were trustworthy and customer oriented. I didn’t use them. They exude trustworthiness and they have more reviews than anybody else. I would trust them, but that is not on the basis of me buying the product. I would shop around. Here’s the thing, there is a very expensive thermostat that goes with the system. I think Shavitz 's bid included that expensive thermostat. Another company gave me the option of not having it, because the system would operate with a very basic thermostat also. That might have accounted for the $300 or $400 difference. I resent that Shavitz didn’t give me that option. I appreciate that the other company did.

Person showed up on time and was courteous. Original diagnosis mentioned the chipboard needed to be replaced but when I got a second opinion the chipboard replacement price was $400 less. In fact the 2nd opinion diagnosed a fan motor issue and replaced it successfully for a more reasonable price.

They did a good job. They did the air conditioner tune up and took care of the furnace. I signed a contract for three years for $1100 and twice a year they will come and check on the air conditioner and furnace. I have gotten quotes from other companies but they are cheaper. The promise whenever I call they will be here. They did come on time and provided the service. The company sends different people. Once I had a guy who tried to sell to many things, but the other guy was fine. They will be coming back in May.

They were competent, but overpriced. Very nice, very good people. They did a good job, but it?s all expensive. They have been in the area for a long time. It is a family owned operation, one of the kids came. They are pricey, but everybody?s pricey. I don?t like bringing in some no nothing that I have never hear of for something like that, with no present in the neighborhood. These folks have been around for 100 years. I wish they would get their price down. They are good people. I am probably being unfair. They have been servicing everything for me for a long time. When it came time and everything let go. I would consider using them in the future, but I would look around though.

Terrible. They sent a tech who was hired because he was a fiend of the owner' son--this guy told me about his partying and concerts he had been too. He thought he repaired my unit but he didn't. Another guy came who was great and figured out the problem but charged me to pick up a part which was not not a man let away. Regardless--I still have a leak which she can't afford to repair.

They came in a reasonable period of time and their initial emergency charge was around 175.00 which I have no problem. They diagnosed that the hot surface ignitor needed to be replaced. This is one of the most common furnace defects and it is easy to diagnose (as it's quite obvious when it doesn't light). Replacement is simple as it's basically a screw in and plug in part. The tech charged an additional 325.00 to replace the part. There is no reason to charge that much to replace such a simple part other than to take advantage of someone who has their furnace down. I complained to the company and have not received a response other than "we'll look into it". They are officially off my list of recommended HVAC contractors and have been removed from my employers list for referrals. They will come quickly but you will pay dearly.

I stayed with the serviceman in the basement as he performed various tests on the boiler. It was apparent from his conduct and our dialogue that he was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He was peasant, courteous and isolated the problem. He replaced a part and all has been fine sine (today is Jan. 30, 2017). I was very impressed and will continue to use Shavitz in the future.

We have always been pleased with the professionalism and the quality of the work. If there were ever issues that needed attention, they were quick to respond and help find solutions.

We've only used them for the first time this year. I'd give them high ratings. I'd give them A's on everything, but I think they're a little expensive, so maybe it's a B on cost. In general, they're very professional and they're always on time on the date that we schedule. They're excellent when it comes to cleaning up afterwards.

I have an annual maintenance contract, they come twice a month, twice a year. So, they are always here in like May and November. I would give their service an ?A?! I don?t like that now they make you pay for the year up front and if you don?t buy multiple years, they charge a lot more money. I don?t like their new maintenance agreement at all. I think it is ridiculous, to ask for a couple thousand dollars up front, otherwise you pay. It?s not consumer friendly, but their people are excellent! So, I want to be clear, that I love the guys that they send out! I just think that it is a poor business practice. I have 2 heaters, 2 air conditioners & 2 humidifiers. I think I signed up for 2 or 3 years, whatever was required to get the better price. The thing is, if you are a loyal customer and have been with them forever, you should be able to pay bi-annually or annually, shouldn't?t have to pay multiple years! I think that is very anti-consumer position! The ownership is obviously my issue, their people are great! I just really want to make that clear, about how great their employees are! I give them a ?D? for their new contract, I don?t like the way their new pricing structure is! There is not perfect, but they?re good.

Great. Shavitz was not the least expensive, but they were the most responsive. They answered my questions honestly, checked if they didn't know the answer immediately, & came out a second time when we were choosing a method of installation. I highly recommend them.

Ryan from Shavitz came and assessed the problem, offering us a menu of options—we could have them seal the ducts for $ and/or we could have them install a ductless heat/AC system for $$$$. I asked Ryan what he would do if it were his home. He said he would go with the $ option, at least to see how much of a difference it made. I was impressed with his honesty, and we did indeed end up just sealing the ducts instead of spending a ton of money on the ductless system. The team was prompt and professional, and while the duct-sealing process did not solve the problem entirely—nor did anyone from Shavitz ever claim that it would—it did, as Ryan had guessed, make enough of a difference to keep the top floor reasonably comfortable. And it will save us a lot of money on our utility bills over time because the overall system is more efficient now, too. Great work all around by Shavitz.

The price was high. We had trouble getting verification from them after the job was done that the humidifier was hooked up.

They called to confirm the appointment a couple days in advance, and showed up on time. They explained their findings, and there was no high-pressure sales tactics. The technician was good about not getting anything in the house dirty. We would use them again.
