Perrin Gas

Eric came out in the bitter cold to check things out in time for me to grill on New Year's Eve. He identified a leaky quick-connect gas valve on the main gas line. Eric replaced the faulty gas valve and the hose from the valve to the grill. No more gas smell, lots of gas and good flame at the grill. We played telephone tag a few times and there was initially a bit of miscommunication about whether or not I was calling to get the grill cleaned (not possible in winter without water). Once we connected directly, Eric was very responsive. I will definitely call him for future work. He is very knowledgable and pleasant to work with. Highly recommended!

Great! My gas grill would not ignite. I called another provide in Arlington Heights first... twice. Never responded. Perrin responded immediately and told me it was most likely the batter. I had NO idea my grill even had a battery. Two minutes later, my grill is working fine. Now I know who I will hire to get my direct vent fireplace working!

Once I'd stated where we wanted the permanent gas line to end, for connecting to the grill's hose, Eric took seconds to decide how he'd deliver and began work. He installed a gas line straight into the ground from the meter. It emerged about 50' from there, at the corner of the bldg., climbing the wall to the floor at a corner of the deck on the 2nd floor. We can easily connect / disconnect our grill's hose at this point. Shutoff valves were included at each end of the new line. He painted the visible part of the pipe and smoothed where he'd dug, so it's as if he were never there. All in under 3 hours! Eric is ALWAYS cheerful, and I told him he could charge more for his labor and materials because his work is perfect.

They were on time. Eric replaced the igniter very quickly. He and his partner spent extra time cleaning out years of collected grease in the grill as well as cleaning the storage area under the grill. It's almost as good as new. We are very happy with the work!

I had it serviced last year by someone else and they didn't do a great job. Perrin came in and identified the problem immediately, fixed it and then cleaned the grill. He did a great job and now it's working like new. (It's almost 17 years old).

We had a leak and the gas company came out to verify and they shut off our gas. The gas lines were behind an HVAC duct so no regular plumber would touch it unless an HVAC person would first remove ducts for access. We signed up for Angie's list just to find someone that could handle both. Found Perrin Gas and everything worked out! Eric was friendly, efficient, and honest. Every company that was initially recommended to us said they wouldn't touch it unless an HVAC company came in first to rip out our furnace and ducts so gas lines could be reached. Eric came right in, no fuss, did a pressure test. detected more leaks than the gas company did in less time than the other companies took to write an estimate. Fixed everything by himself in a couple of hours with NO DRAMA of "how difficult the task was". Will be recommending him to anyone that needs a gas leak fixed.

I have to rate the work done as excellent. And I would certainly use Perrin Gas again and definitely would recommend them. Eric came to the house about an 1 1/2 hour after we talked and made the appointment. (We spoke another day by phone where he explained the options and prices) He worked very efficiently and was all professional. When to comes to a gas issue I, as I think most folks do, stand back. So due to my lack of understanding, as he began the work I was a little uneasy. By the time he finished and explained it, I felt totally comfortable. He even made me aware and help understand part of the gas line configuration that I completely no idea existed. Great Job, Eric.

Perrin Gas took the necessary steps to locate the gas leak, and repair it. The leak was located in my kitchen pipe, in 2 places. He installed a new shut off valve, and replaced a portion of the pipe connecting the valve. He also tested the gas line with 3 pounds of pressure, to find out if I had a leak in any other places. This was the suggestion by Peoples Gas, at the time they turned my gas off. Peoples Gas inspected everything before, my gas was turned by on. Very pleased with Perrin Gas.

He patched the fireplace where gas pipe was removed and removed the downstairs gas fireplace connection.

I am so please with Mr. Perrin's service. He was courteous, professional and reasonably priced. He traveled a great distance to complete the job without additional fees. If you need this service done, I highly recommend this company.

Eric found the leak five minutes after he arrived, in the most inaccessible place in the house. He showed me by spreading soapy water on the joint how bad it was, but said he could have it fixed in about two hours. I didn't believe him because the joint was, to me, totally inaccessible. Two hours later, he had replaced the joint and rechecked all the joints in the house with his gas sniffer.. The previous installer had cross threaded the elbow joint and never checked his work. Eric was extremely handy, knew what to do, had all the parts necessary to do the repair and did it all in one visit at exactly the price we agreed on...no extra for the parts he added.

Eric fixed our Charm Glow grill by replacing a valve. He cleaned the grill and painted the grill with a protective paint. We asked Eric to look at our 1950s Crown range burner that was not working. He noticed that a part was missing. He showed us the part on one of the working burners. Later my husband and I found the part and the burner now works. We couldn't have fixed the burner without Eric's friendly advice. Eric was easy to contact, arrived on time and was generous with his knowledge and time. We plan to use his services again.

I called on Saturday, expecting to get an answering machine but was able to speak to Mr. Perrin. He was extremely helpful and friendly. I look forward to working with him once we decide what we want to replace the heat with.

He showed up on time, completed the work quickly and cleaned up.

Called and by got same day service (within few hrs) as he had another appointment in the neighbourhood. He got straight to work and quickly identified and fixed the issue in bout 15 mins. Great service.
