I dropped off 3 dining room chairs to be re-upholstered with my own fabric. They were able to complete my order in a little over two weeks. I was hoping to have them a bit earlier since I was having visitors, but it was within a couple days of the due date. The chairs look great, although I wish that the price had included clean up of the wood as well. Overall quite satisfied with the work.

My experience was great. Mike and Sons was the lowest price, but also the most responsive. They were on time for the estimate and the repair, the repairs took the time they estimated and they were very friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Our experience with Mike & Sons was fantastic! I dealt primarily with Julie who was friendly and quite responsive to my concerns and questions. She helped me with all aspects of the process, including fabric selection, which otherwise would have been overwhelming. I described the vision I wanted to achieve, and Julie personally helped me to narrow down options. She was incredibly generous with her time and discussed the pros and cons of the fabrics I was considering. I was then able to take as many fabric samples home as I needed. Once I selected the fabric, the actual work was completed in a matter of weeks, and the results were outstanding! The craftsmanship of the work and the attention to detail Mike & Sons provided have made my chairs look brand new. We are more than pleased and know that we'll have these chairs for years to come. Also, during the first five minutes of my initial visit, I presented the dimensions of the cushions, and I got an estimate on the spot. Any future upholstery jobs of mine are without hesitation going to Mike & Sons.

This firm was very responsive. I got the estimate the same day as calling. Then, after we chose our fabric, they said it would only take three weeks and I would have my couch again and that is what they did. The pick up and drop off process went well in spite of living in a condo with a lot of rules. They were highly professional and responsive. I also love how my couch looks. There were a few little details they needed input on and rather than just make a decision, they called me to see how I would want it.

The quality of the leather and upholstery work has absolutely exceeded our expectations! This is a family-owned company and I am happy to have found them- and never would have if not for Angies List. Julie was so friendly, answered all questions and was great at getting back on prices and status of the order. They even picked up and delivered. I got some prices around to compare and Mike & Sons price was very reasonable. They touched up the wood and they look beautiful. I would highly recommend this terrific business for any upholstery and leather work! Top notch!!

It’s been really good. They did a fabulous job. They did some great detail work. I thought the price was reasonable but I don’t remember what it was. I was really impressed with their detail work. I will use them again in the future.

They ordered the fabric I wanted and completed my job in approximately 1 week! Amazing! Other companies estimated 4 + week timeframe!

Really well - Julie was a pleasure to deal with. Prompt response with an approximate quote based on my description; had me use my Iphone to take pictures and share with her. I had a tight deadline that they beat by a week. Pickup and delivery were at the times provided. Quality is very good. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

We then decided to bring in 6 chairs from our dining room set for new upholstery and 2 vintage style chairs from the 60's for new upholstery and repair (tightening and all new padding). Julie was excellent in her knowledge of what is worth redoing and what pieces may not, (unless you have a sentimental attachment, for example). She also has an extensive selection of fabrics to choose from. The dining room chairs are stunning, absolutely new life and the cost was minor. The two chairs that were completely redone are fabulous also and the cushions are reversible!! I have now brought a trunk in, with fabric that I had from my Grandmother, to have the top recovered and I am planning to have stools redone. They pick-up your furniture, the time to complete the job was exactly as stated (a few weeks) and they delivered. This is the highest rating that I have given a business. Note the price was for all pieces and was quite extensive work.

Julie was helpful to us while choosing the replacement material. It took a little longer to be completed than we expected but Julie communicated well with us during the extra time. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and will happily use Mike and Sons again if we choose to reupholster any more furniture.

They were very nice, friendly, and courteous. I have been using them frequently for my furniture and it always turns out beautifully.

They did a great job. They are super people to deal with. It's a family run business and they have great prices and the work was done quickly.

Julie is a magician. She is also patient, talented, and a delightful person. She gave me all the time I needed to peruse the great selection of fabric books she has in her showroom. She let me take the books home, bring them back and then start all over (I had a bugger of a time selecting what I wanted). Once I narrowed down my choice, she showed me alternatives from different manufacturers. She offered selections that were just as beautiful, more durable (I have teenage boys and a lot of animals), at a lower cost per yard. This is something she clearly did not need to do for me but did so because she wanted me to make the best possible choice for my lifestyle. She also accommodated me by holding the sofas in her workroom while we had our floors refinished. When the pieces were returned, they looked like new. The cushions have been rebuilt. The upholstery is stunningly perfect. I could not be happier. I highly recommend Mike & Sons and will be asking them to do more work for me.

They were very helpful, while not being pushy. They were prompt and we're very happy with the quality of work and materials. We're using them again now.

It went very well. A day or so after my wife went into their place of business Julia came to our house. She measured and examined our cushions and gave us a price and explanation of what they would do. We agreed. The next day they picked up the cushions. The job was to take three days. It took five, but this was because of a power failure in the area that caused Mike & Sons to lose power,, of which we were aware. But they notified us as well. Julia brought the cushions back to our house, explained what had been done and answered our questions. Overall,, an excellent job.

They were wonderful. Julie came to my home shortly after I called and took the chairs. I needed them back fairly soon, as I was having a party. She promised them no later than Dec. 20 and actually delivered them on Dec. 15. I will definitely use them again.

Working with Mike and Sons, and especially with Julie, was a total pleasure. Everything went extremely smoothly, and they were very accommodating. When my husband and I were agonizing over fabric, Julie gave us helpful suggestions and also ordered some fabric for us to bring home and consider. She made our decision much easier. They were extremely prompt, and were able to accommodate our schedule and finish earlier than we had expected. They were very professional, and the workmanship on sofas is excellent. We're so happy we chose them!

Met with Julie twice to determine fabric quantity and work schedule. Order placed over the phone and Mike & Son's picked up all 6 chairs free of charge. Kept them over the holidays - per our request - with the understanding that they would begin work in mid-January. They delivered beautiful finished product on time with each chair wrapped in plastic for added protection. Julie came with the delivery to confirm our satisfaction with the work.

This company obviously did not need my business. On initial contact I had to contact them twice before they called me back. I had 8 dining chairs that needed re-upholstery. I dropped off one and told them I needed an estimate for upholstering, and also an estimate for adding a padded back to the chair. They only gave me the estimate for upholstery, they forgot about the back. I was told it would be ready in 7-10 days. We agreed that when it was done they would drop it off at my home, pick up the other 7 chairs and look at the dining table that needed refinishing. They do not give receipts for furniture left, and do not have a work-order form to document the work that was requested (which is probably why they forgot about the padded back). A month later I had not heard from them. But this included Christmas and New Years so I gave them some slack. Finally in January I called again - reached the owner who said she was not in the office, but would be there within a 1/2 hour and she would call me back. Never heard from her. 6 weeks after dropping off my chair I went to the store to pick it up - it had not been touched. She then offered to have it done by the next day, but I declined. Complete waste of time.

I went to Mike & Sons and brought the cushions w/ me. I had a time crunch because I was having company stay w/ me in a few weeks, so I hoped to get the process going that day. Mike & Son's has a very nice selection of fabrics and they helped me pick one out that day, place the order, and even "rushed" the order for me. The workmanship was great. I noticed what I thought was a flaw in the fabric (on the bottom of each cushion), but the owner told me that this would go away over time, which it did.

I found Mike and Sons on Angie's list, and I am very happy with the work they did for me. Their work was of high quality and they delivered the work on the promised date.

It went very well. They put the fabric on that I wanted--which was great. I am very happy with it. They put on indoor/outdoor fabric, and with two dogs, it makes it much easier to keep clean.

They are amazing! The reupholstery quality on my Old Hickory dining room chairs was better than the original upholstery. The selection of fabrics is great, and the pricing is very fair when you consider the quality of their work. I will be back again for future furniture reupholstery projects.
