It went fine. Mike and his guys were very professional. A little bit of a language barrier but we muddled thru. Cost went over what we expected due to multiple damaged boards but all in all a very good experience.

Mikes was absolutely fantastic in every possible way. Starting from the timely and free quote, through the coordination of the team to complete the floors, everyone was great. I was out of town while they completed the work and received constant communication via text & phonecall to give updates on the progress. I was even texted pictures of stain options and test samples on my floor to pick the best option. I would recommend Mikes to anyone looking for top quality work, great communication, and an affordable price!

Mike did a PERFECT JOB. I called 5 different companies to get quotes from on the project. I learned that the existing flooring was extremely thin, and 3 out of 5 said that they would not be able to sand the floors because they were too thin. Mike said he would be able to sand it, and assured me it would look great. I went with Mikes Flooring because he seemed trustworthy, came early, and always answered right away when I called. That is very rare to find! I initially signed a contract to install hardwood throughout my condo, but ended up just wanting to sand and stain the existing flooring instead since it was cheaper. All other companies told me that no matter what I did, nothing was going to look as I would want since the existing floors were so thin and worn. Mike was the only one that assured me it would look great. They were able to sand and stain right on schedule and worked within my tight time frame. I honestly can’t believe how the floors turned out. They look absolutely perfect! I never imagined they would end up looking like brand new floors after what everyone else told me was not possible. Mike did an AMAZING job. 10/10. Since I initially paid Mike to do add in new hardwood floors in the bedroom and I decided not to go that route, Mike drove out to my work and paid me the difference. Again, he answered calls right away and showed up right when he said he would and gave me the money. I am impressed with the superior customer service that he delivered, and the job that he did on my condo. I rarely go out of my way to leave reviews, but I wanted to make sure to pay it forward in this situation. Everyone that comes into my condo compliments my floors right away. Mike did a phenomenal job and he will be the first one I call on all future projects. Mikes Flooring was excellent. I highly recommend them for all flooring projects. Very impressed!

From the initial meeting for an estimate to the time the crew left it was a great experience. Mike and his crew refinished the floor in two rooms and did an amazing job. They kept me informed every step of the way. One of our main concerns was being able to match the stain color to the floor we had in the family room. They sanded down a small section of the floor and provided 7 different color options for me to choose. While they understandably didn't choose the color for me they did offer their suggestions as far as how the color would change slightly once it dries, etc. That insight helped me make the best choice possible and the new floors matches our family room floor perfectly! They were polite, patient and didn't rush the process. They cleaned up everything nicely and even installed quarter round moulding to finish it off. I'm very pleased with the job and professionalism and highly recommend them.

Stairs turned out great. There were a few hiccups along the way but the guys at mikes were very responsive, understanding and eager to fix any issues I had.

The floors looked amazing! This is our first home and our floors were on the older side so we didn't quite know what to expect, but when we walked in, we were in awe. Andrei and his team were punctual, careful, and extremely professional. We had the walls painted right before, so we were worried about them getting dusty, but everything was taped off so we had nothing to worry about. We are extremely happy with the job they did!

So nice to work with these guys. They understood we were on a time frame and they got in and out in the time promised. Floors look incredible and there was minimal mess. Would def recommend and hire again!

The crew came on Monday morning as planned and got right to it. As the old carpet was removed and hauled away and the sanding machine came right after. Underneath the old carpet were paint splattered floors from earlier owners. The old floors were ugly. Well, they aren't ugly anymore. I knew that sanding the floors would improve the appearance but I had no idea how much. My original plan was to clean up the steps and cover them with a new carpet runner down the center. But these steps look so good I think I'll just keep them as is. The steps are revitalized and reflect the light so much better. I appreciate Mike and his crew's attention to detail. I am very happy with the final result. At some point in the future I will have more hardwood flooring jobs and Mike will be the one I call.

Very well. Andrei (one of the prinicipal employees) came within hours of my call. He was knowlegeable, professionable, and most importantly, honest about my potential options. I felt very comfortable that they would do a thorough job, which is borne out by other reviews this company has received. I am still deciding when and if I will refinish my floors, but Andrei's input was extremely helpful in ensuring I make the right decision. Very impressed!

I was very happy with the work. I worked with Andre, the general foreman. My installers were Benjamin and Joel. Andre was always very responsive when I would call. Benjamin and Joel were great workers and paid attention to all the details. There was some brief follow up work which was handled without any issues. I would highly recommend this company; and I would use again as well.

The end MHF team were wonderful to work with. They were incredibly responsive and patient with all of my questions. We did a full walk through of the space where they offered suggestions for color and shine which was a huge help as this was my first time having work of this nature done. The work was completed on time and during the final walk through a full description of care and maintenance were provided! I cannot say enough great things about this team!! (Karyn)

Andrei did an amazing job! They were very thorough and did a great job with replacing the damaged floor making it look brand new!

Everybody who comes in to our house just loves the floors. We get lots of daylight and the natural finished hardwood stairs look gorgeous. Mike's team did really good job on the stairs. We communicated with Andrei all the time, he was very approachable. Most of the work was finished on time, small items like finishing the stairs handrail, it took them sometime to finish. My only gripe was their workers left our bathrooms & kitchen dirty. We were not living in the house at the moment but it was still unpleasant. Will definitely hire them again for the good work!

George worked this job and came out prior to the start of work to sand and stain three samples in my living room. It turned out the original floors had a mix of wood types and the stain I picked didn't look good on the mix of woods. Mike, the owner, called to alert me of this and asked if I wanted to try a few different options. They came back out to do more samples and we settled on a stain that ended up looking great. George/Mike were incredibly responsive and professional. They delivered everything that was promised and went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the end product.

Mike came for estimate proptly, arrived on time, and measured and told me what was involved. He sent me to A American flooring on caldwell in Niles, to pick out the flooring i wanted. I wanted nothing made in China. I bought Kaars engineered flooring, can be sanded twice, made in Canada. The 2 men who removed carpet were very professional, and neat. 3 installers put flooring in in 2 days . It looks beautiful, and was worth everything it cost and more. It completely changed the entire look of my 50 year old condo. I will recommend Mikes to as many people as i can. A truly great experience.

They worked a miracle on my floors!! Its like the clouds parted and sent to me because if you ever tried doing the job yourself you could never truly appreciated the hard and diligent work they did. I was never so amazed! After I tore out the subfloor i couldn't believe the disaster that was under it. These guys (Benjamin, Joel and Francisco) had their work cut out for them.
