Mike did a great job. He was the lowest of three quotes. We were out of town during the work. Mike moved my car from the garage to the street so that all of our furniture could be stored in the garage. His crew did a great job with almost no dust evident when we returned. He returned my car to the garage after moving the furniture back in. The floors looked fantastic when we got home and 3 months later they still look great.

Mike came out to assess our floors. He advised that they were still in good shape and didn’t require work at this time. I appreciated his honesty as I have encounter providers in the past who recommend work when it’s not needed. Mike was professional, amiable and gave great guidance. I would recommend his services to others.

It could not have gone better. We recently bought a new place that had very old carpeting covering half the house. Although it is very hard to provide an estimate of refinishing floors when you don't know what is under the carpet, Mike was true to his estimate and his crew completed the job right on time. As with any job, there were some unexpected issues that needed to be addressed. Mike's team, and George in particular, were able to fix the problems (namely, wood HVAC vents and floor molding) at a very reasonable price. The best part of the job was that the master staircase was previously carpeted and was in pretty bad shape. After pulling up the carpet, Mike gave us some options on how to refinish and/or paint the stairs and risers. We had them refinish the stairs and risers (which cost a little extra), but now the stairs are a showpiece in the house. We couldn't be happier with the work that Mike did for us. We have now used him twice and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Mike's team did a phenomenal job refinishing the hardwood floors throughout our new home. They were careful and precise, and got the color exactly how we wanted it (and we were very particular). Mike and his team were always prompt, and they were extremely efficient, finishing the entire project within a week that included the Thanksgiving holiday. Mike also is the most responsive contractor I have ever worked with, has a very pleasant and professional demeanor, and clearly knows his stuff. His prices also are quite fair. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike's Hardwood Flooring or hire this company again!

We just closed on a house and we needed our floors sanded, stained and refinished. My husband and I took out the baseboards and we had a grandiose idea that we would reinstall them. We got a few quotes. Mike quoted us just based on the Zillow pictures of the house and he had his guys there the next morning. His price was fair and he even replaced some damaged boards at no additional cost. Benjamin did an excellent job, was always incredibly polite and professional. The floors look fantastic! We could not be happier with the entire experience. We are planning a kitchen remodel in the future and will use them again to install hardwoods in our kitchen.

Phenomenal. Could not have had a company be more responsive. I don't think I ever waited for an email reply longer than 10 minutes. The work done was perfect and just what we had asked for. They were very accommodating and patient to get the stain color just right. They supplied me with samples beforehand. They were on-time, professional and the house was left cleaner then when they got there!

This was a big deal purchase. The guy came out and the square footage was actually a little bit different than what was in the deal so me and the guy agreed to a price. They were very good. I was super-happy with them.

Everything went well. The guys missed staining one small spot, but otherwise good. Mike was always available to answer questions.

Great - Mike and his team did an excellent job sanding and adding 3 coats of polyurethane to my maple floors. He was very thorough with communication and keeping me up to date on the process since I was out of state when the work was done. I'd definitely recommend him. He's very knowledgeable and good at what he does.

In both instances the responsiveness was lightning fast (I think the hardwood was acclimating in my home within a week), the service was extremely professional and the quality of workmanship was excellent. Pricing was more than fair for the speed of delivery. The one, very minor, hiccup was a miscommunication about having hardwood vent grates installed and finished as part of the refinishing work. It was completed on the new floor install.

Its been just over a year and the floors still look great. They are holding up to our household very well. In addition, they were very clear about what the floors would look like after they were finished and about costs. Apparently, some people don't understand that stairs require manual sanding and therefore would cost more per square foot than the floors themselves.

The end result was beautiful and almost made it worthwhile dealing with Mike. I am not sure if he was confused and disorganized or actually trying to pull a "Bate and Switch" on us, but I found his interactions when it came to pricing a little on the shady side. We found Mike on Angie's list through an offer he had. Up to 1000 SQ FT of flooring refinished for $1500. Our unit measured 950. I reached out on Angies list, mentioned the offer price and recieved a quote for $2100... when I mentioned the offer on Angies list again he confirmed the rate would be discounted to $1500. He then measured the size of the unit himself to confirm and sent me a written confirmation that the rate of $1500 will be honored and will include removing a small room's carpeting, with no added cost. the day of the service I was not home, and my husband called me to confirm that the rate was "$1850" per Mike who was there with him. I had to dig through my emails to re-send his confirmation to prove that he quoted us the rate of $1500. In addition - my contractor who was doing other work for us had already pulled the carpeting from the small room, even though Mike's team were to do that with no additional charge. When I got home I saw the receipt for the service for a higher charge, and when I asked my husband why were we billed more than the $1500 he said Mike billed us for removing a layer of glue from the floors where the carpet once was. ( so he did LESS work than he had committed to performing not having to tear the carpets off, and ended up charging us extra for "glue" removal, which should have been included in the sanding of the floors) I am happy to pay people for their work, and even after the over-charges, Mike's rate was reasonable. What I do not appreciate is people giving me their word and changing it later to try and make an extra buck off us. As good as the floors look, I will not be using Mike's services again. I don't like working with dishonest people ( or, giving him the benefit of the doubt, disorganized. )

Everything went went and they worked long hours to finish on time. Mike was friendly and responsive throughout the process. Most importantly, the floors and stairs look great!

They were very very very good. The only thing I was worried about was these poor guys lungs that were breathing in these fumes. It turned out wonderful. But I was just worried about these poor guys and if they have insurance. Are they illegal workers that don't have insurance and what if they get lung cancer down the road. For me I have to think about the people doing the work. As far as the work goes the floors turned out gorgeous. I had nothing to compare the price to. They were done in a timely fashion. We were in a crunch because we were moving furniture in on a Friday and they started on a Monday so the floors had to be dry by Friday. We have been here 35 years and they had never been done. They had it done and it really turned out nice. He responded right away.

I had a first floor that was a combination of 10 year old oak flooring and older carpet and tile. Mike was able to remove the old carpet and tile, install new oak flooring and then perfectly match everything with a new stain making my first floor look seamless. It looks as though 1 floor was installed at the same time and looks absolutely fabulous. Also, I was very worried about the dust, but it turned out to be minimal. The communication from Mike was constant, the work was professional and great. I am looking forward to doing more work with him in the future.

Mike and his team were excellent. Very responsive for the initial consultation. Great care was taken by his team to ensure nothing was damaged. I had previously covered some furniture with sheets for protection, but the team went beyond that to ensure everything was protected. I don't think I could be happier with the results.

On the whole, a good job but floor beneath the radiators were overlooked (unstained and needing repairs) until the job was completed at which time, it was too late to repair the damaged boards properly.
