set up appointment with paul & explained how they clean the vent. chris showed up on time & proceeded to clean the vent which exited thru the roof. he even cleaned the dryer lint filter housing. very pleased with the service & would highly recommened them for any vent cleaning.

Service tech arrived at the appointed time. He disassembled the dryer vent pipes and then proceeded to put a steel brush on a series of extensions. A electric drill was attached to the extensions. Once the extensions reached the end of the run, the brush was rotated and pulled back and forth 2 or 3 times. At the bottom of the run was a vacuum cleaner to suck up the lint that had been captured. He then reassembled the dryer vent pipes. He then removed the dryer filter and using approximately ½” plastic pipe inserted the pipe in the area when the filter had been and pulled out quite a bit of lint. He then went outside to clean the lint that could not be reached from the inside. He then removed old duct tape that I had used to seal the pipes and replaced with HVAC Duct Sealing Tape

We had the dryer vent cleaned on a dryer approximately 25 years old that had probably never been cleaned. Also had the flexible duct hose replaced with a metal hose with a smooth, non-ridged interior to meet city building code. Total cost = $127.50. Didn't get the tech's name, but he was great. Arrived on time, was personable, efficient, answered my questions, didn't mind me watching him work, and even held the old duct hose so I could take a picture of how clogged it was inside. The dryer is now running more efficiently. Over the last 5 years or so, drying time was increasing and we also had to switch from low/delicate cycle to medium cycle for everything. Before the vent cleaning and hose replacement, our heaviest set of towels took about 100 minutes on medium cycle. Now that same set takes 50 minutes on low/delicate cycle.

The vent was cleaned though their appeared to be a minimal amount of lint. The dryer was also cleaned with a Wet Vac and a flexible plastic tube. A great deal of lint was removed. The sensor light no longer turns on during drying as it consistently did before the service. I was charged less than the estimated cost. I was very satisfied and would most definitely use this company in the future.

Lint King owner Paul Meyers took the time to thoroughly explain what the problem could be and set up a appointment with his tech. Tech arrived on time and examined all the vents, showed me pictures of the insides of the vents. The vents are clean and an adjustment was made to the outside vent flap. Since the vents are clean and the the air is flowing, he explained that if the Check Vent light continues to go on, it could be an issue with the dryer sensor. Because the vents did not need cleaning, I was not charged for a cleaning. I think the tech was excellent- explaining every detail of how the dryer and vents work and what he was checking.

My dryer is old and was taking two cycles to dry each load. I wasn't sure if it was the dryer or the vent, but it can't hurt to clean the vent after 25 years, right? These people were very responsive. Got back to me the same day I asked for a quote. They asked me about the dryer and vent locations, mentioned there was a coupon and quoted me a reasonable price. When I scheduled, I got a slot for the next day. They sent an e-mail reminder with the name of the tech. The day of my appointment, Chris called to say he was running early and asked if I was available, which I was. I liked that they asked. Chris did the work quickly. We did a little up-charge to clean out the front of the dryer ($25 - no biggie). He even cleaned out from behind and under the dryer. I was very pleased with the service. Recommended them to my nephew who booked them. Total work was $125 + $25 for the front clean, minus a $15 coupon. My dryer is on the first floor, with a vent running under a powder room to the outside. I did my first load - dried in one cycle and faster too!
