Do, They do sell furniture Don't They do not provide what was paid for and have poor customer service.
Description of Work: I purchased a bedroom set on Feb 1, 2012 and was told it will be in on March 15 the very latest. March 15th came and went. No call. When we called we only received the run around. After several phone calls and a couple more weeks we were told this will be in on April 7. April 7 came and went with no phone call. On April 9th I called the store 4 times to try and set up a delivery time since I was told our bedroom set was going to be ready on April 7th. They connected me to the managers voice mail every time saying I need to speak to her. I think her name was Becky. After placing 4 calls and only getting connected to Becky's voice mail I went to the store. I asked one of the salesmen who she was. She was sitting at a desk playing solitaire on her pc. I called the store while I was there looking at her. Her phone rang and she did not answer it.. I walked up behind her and told her It was me on the phone. She just said how can I help you. When I told her that I have tried her 4 times she did not seem to care. She asked what I needed and I told her I needed to set up my delivery appointment. She said all the pieces of my order did not come in and she could not tell me when they would be in. Some of the missing parts are the bed rails so the bed could not be set up. I told her to cancel the order and she didn't care a bit that they lost a 3200.00 order.

Very poorly. The delivery team was new, came without tools to connect the sectional couch together. After they left, the store called to say it would be two weeks before another team could come and do the connecting. Only after I asked to have the couch returned and money returned did the supervisor Andrea Martin agree to send someone out the next day. It is now the next day and I had to call to get a time estimate. So far they can't find the team who was supposed to fix the couch. Extremely disappointing service.
Description of Work: Couch bought from Macy's Furniture. Couch was to be delivered and connected together.

They delivered the wrong sofa. I called customer service several times to report the problem. They were not very friendly at all, or willing to help the customer. I called the salesman to help resolve the issue. Finally, the correct sofa was delivered, but one of the mattress was defective meaning that it's very soft when you sit on it. I had been calling customer service, and delivery and nobody has been returning my phone call. I had to have the salesman to help again. I finally got a call yesterday, and scheduled someone to come and inspect the sofa in 5 days. My wife, and I would never ever buy anything from Macy's again. They sell top of the line merchandise but a very poor service.
Description of Work: We bought a leather recliner sectional at Macy's furniture store in Schoenberg, Illinois on Wednesday evening. At the time, the salesman asked about delivery date. The Salesman had informed us that next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday would be available. My wife decided to schedule it for the following Saturday. While we were finishing the paper work, we realized that my wife, and I both have a Dentist appointment the following Saturday. I immediately asked the Salesman to change the delivery date. He told us that he couldn't change the date once it's in the computer. Since it was already too late to call the delivery department, he asked me to call the following morning and they'll be happy to change it. I called the delivery dept. First thing in the morning, I was very disappointed when told that I can only choose to change the date 5 days out from the original date. I called customer service, and complained that I was not informed by the salesman.

THE FURNITURE IN THIS STORE IS GORGEOUS AND THEY DO HAVE GREAT SALES, ALTHOUGH SOME OF THEIR PRICES ARE STILL VERY HIGH. THIS TRANSACTION WAS SMOOTH AND PLEASANT. THE DELIVERY WAS AS SCHEDULED, QUICK AND EFFICIENT. THE ONLY DRAWBACK I SEE TO THIS STORE IS THAT THEY JUST HAVE TOO MANY SALESPEOPLE ON THE FLOOR AT ONCE. YOU CAN'T SEEM TO WALK TEN FEET WITHOUT A DIFFERENT PERSON ASKING IF THEY CAN HELP YOU. IT'S OVERKILL, AND IT GETS A LITTLE ANNOYING.
Description of Work: WE BOUGHT A MICROFIBER COUCH, LOVESEAT, AND ARMCHAIR FOR A GREAT PRICE WHEN THEY WERE HAVING A HUGE SALE.

MY SALES REPRESENTATIVE (WHO WAS NEW) TOLD ME THAT I HAD A YEAR TO PAY IT OFF WITHOUT INTEREST. IT WASN'T UNTIL I RECEIVED MY FIRST BILL THAT I FOUND OUT THERE WERE MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS REQUIRED. THE SAME REPRESENTATIVE HAD TO CALL ME BACK TO ASK ME FOR MORE MONEY FOR THE DOWN PAYMENT. ALTHOUGH I WAS TOLD THAT THE FURNITURE WOULD BE DELIVERED ON THE SAME DAY, WHEN THE FURNITURE CAME I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH ONE PIECE AND THAT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE DELIVERED LATER (REQUIRING ME TO REMAIN HOME FOR A SECOND DAY.) THE FURNITURE QUALITY IS NOT GREAT, GIVEN WHAT I PAID FOR IT.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD WITH GIVING US A PREVIOUSLY OFFERED DISCOUNT ON THE COUCH, EVEN THOUGH IT WASN''T THE SAME DISCOUNT AT THE TIME. THE DELIVERY WAS PUNCTUAL. VIRGINIA IN THE RUG DEPARTMENT WAS PHENOMENAL - AND DID EVERYTHING SHE COULD TO GET US THE LOWEST POSSIBLE PRICE ON A GREAT RUG!
