We found JB Construction through Angie's List after getting several much higher estimates for a design we had drawn up at Kohler. Jerzy said he could build our bathroom for about 30% less, and on his first visit pointed out some issues that the others had missed. After calling some references we decided to hire his crew and they started almost immediately. We often left for work before they arrived and came home way after they had left -- Jerzy kept in contact with me by text to let me know what was going on with the project. When there were decisions for me to make, he would come early or stay late so we could talk about them. All of the guys we had in the house during the project were professional and courteous. They cleaned up well at the end of the job. We couldn't be happier we the finished project -- they did an absolutely phenomenal job with the design and made a lot of great suggestions and changes along the way. We will definitely hire them again. My only complaint is that the project took much longer than anticipated. The initial estimate was four weeks and it ultimately took about eight-nine. But Jerzy always kept me in the loop on what was going on and they worked late and on weekends to make up for lost time.

They did a good job, except for the painting. The painting was done by a sub contractor.

1. We had called in others for an estimate, but some seemed more salesman then really knowledgeable about remodeling and others came in with unrealistic pricing.

Then we found Jerzy on Angie's list.  He came in, looked at my design and the existing room, discussed what could be done showing excellent knowledge in all aspects of doing a remodeling project, he took measurements and then came back to us with a realistic quote in a very timely manner. During the work, the exchange of ideas always led to the best end results.  It was very pleasant working with Jerzy and his skilled crew.  For example, Slav, one of his men, was a highly talented craftsman.  We can't praise him enough.  He framed out the entire shower area, did the electrical work and all the plumbing with excellence. Then Andy, an expert in his field, did a fabulous job laying the tile design in the shower, wall, backsplash and floor. Jerzy also redesigned the 
3. walk-in closet making it much more accessible by using a pocket door.
4. Jerzy and his men demonstrated professionalism throughout the project.  We are very pleased with the end results and recommened JB Construction Services Inc. highly!  We will definately hire them again for any future remodeling.

I worked with Jerzy on my guest bathroom remodeling in the summer of 2013 (the cost was 4850 for the guest bathroom) and had such a pleasant experience that I was not going to go with any other contractor than Jerzy when it came time to remodel our master bathroom.



just like the guest bathroom remodeling, we discussed what we wanted to have done in the bathroom, then Jerzy took measurements and gave me an estimate which was very fair (we had several other contractors came in to give us quotes for the guest bathroom and some were higher and some were lower but ultimately, the company's favorable review on Angie's list gave me confidence to go with them and I had to say I am so happy with the results)



The team installed the following for us:

new custom shower base, a new shower drain, new niche in the shower; durock, shower walls and

walls around the bathtub; new shower faucet for the shower and the bathtub; tiles on the bathroom floor, shower

floor, around the bathtub and on shower walls;



Repair of drywall, primer and paint the bathroom, install vanity, sinks, faucets and toilet; Install new light switch and electrical

outlets; Install LED trims on can lights; install new vanity lights, install hardware such as  towel bars, and mirror;



Demo and garbage haul away



The crew is always on time and pleasant, and if Jerzy is prompt in getting back to us when we have questions or concerns.

All is all, an A+ experience; you know you always hear horror stories about contractors and home remodeling, I think it definitely pays to do your research up front and I am glad Angie's list is here and I couldn't have found Jerzy and his great crew without Angie's list

JB Construction Services Inc. had done an awsome job they knew what I wanted to do and stayed within my budget I would re-hire them in the future.

If you are looking for a highly talented and high energy craftsman, who is very easy to work with, honest and full of great ideas, you really need to at least talk to Jerzy.   As the other reviewer commented, Jerzy has excellent input.  Remodeling has long been a hobby of mine.  I'm a big do it yourselfer.  However, my circumstances didn't allow me the time to complete this particular project so I contacted a number of contractors to come out and look at what I needed.  Right from the beginning, I could tell Jerzy was the most qualified of all of these contractors since I basically knew what was possible and what wasn't.   Jerzy looked at each situation and presented what I thought was the most logical way to go while some of the others were afraid to even quote.   Upon reviewing the quotes, it was apparent that other contractors built in contingency pricing while Jerzy was able to provide better pricing simply because he knew the best way to proceed with the work.   That's why I selected him.....I like to work with intelligent and cooperative people.

Throughout the remodeling process, Jerzy kept in close communication with me to insure he and I had the same understanding of what I wanted.   in so many cases, we'd discuss different ideas and I'd end up going with his sensible recommendations.  I really thought I knew quite a bit, but he did a great job educating me on a wide variety of topics.  There were one or two situations where the work was completed and I really wasn't real happy about it.   The next thing I knew, the situation was corrected !   And never at any additional cost !   The job he did modifying the bathroom door is simply amazing. I really wasn't happy with the ideas we had discussed to correct the door sizing and he took the difficult task of modifying all the louvers on the wooden door. We hadn't discussed that solution, and he just went head and did it because he knew it would be 100 percent right.   You absolutely cannot tell that any work was done when he was finished.  The other day I saw him carrying this door outside again....after it had already been installed.   I asked him "where are you going with that?"   his response......"it's not perfect".  It seemed fine to me but he took it outside, did something, and returned with the perfect version.   I also asked him to modify the position of a couple of kitchen cabinets.   I thought for sure that it wasn't going to be possible without damaging the wood.  But he personally came out and did the work, and did an incredible job.   These particular cabinets butt up against a very irregular rock wall.   The way he scribed the wood trim to that rock is insane.   Far better than even the original.   Finally, I'm kind of tall.   As we were doing one of our walk throughs, he noticed that my head was rather close to the ceiling above the stairs.   He asked me if I'd like him to do something about it.   I said sure and he modified it which gave me a couple more inches of clearance.   All those changes were included in the original price.  How many contractors include extra work like that just to make sure it's done right ?  These are just a few of the examples that popped into my head.  But there are numerous others.

Jerzy is extremely professional, trustworthy, talented and honest and I will continue to use JB Construction for future projects.....provided that his pricing remains competitive !!  It's been a very positive experience.

I met with Jerzy of JB Construction on 8/28/13 to show him the basement/bathroom and go over what I was looking to have completed.  Jerzy was very punctual when he came out, he was also helpful in explaining what would need to be done in order to complete the project.  Jerzy stated he would get back to me in a two to three days with an estimate.  I did not receive the estimate for eleven days (9/8/13).  I was a bit more understanding of the time gap as there was a holiday weekend in that time frame.  Jerzy also apologized for the delay in the estimate when he sent it to me.  The estimate I received was for approximately $9,500 which was just under budget ($10,000).   
I ultimately did not go with JB Construction for my project.  This decision had nothing to do with the timing of the quote, I was simply provided an estimate that gave a better price. Meeting with Jerzy was a good experience and he was helpful in explaining what would need to be done in order to complete the remodel.  The estimate was within our budget which is something I thought was excellent.  Jerzy also did a great job of providing me with ideas of what I could do to save some money on the project.  I would recommend JB Construction for any remodeling you need completed.  Jerzy was professional and the price point of the project was within budget.

Very satisfied with the work overall.  A few small clean-up details were missed.

Jerzy was one of four estimates we had to install a vinyl floor in our
basement. He was not familiar with the product and did extensive
research on it. He worked very hard and also paid attention to details
no other contractor even discussed. He suggested some interior
decorating ideas that turned out to make a plain room gorgeous. Then he
built, from scratch, to Oak doors for us to add to the room's privacy.
He spent 3 extra days doing that as it was not in our original contract
and the additional price was within reason. He is always polite, always
cleans up after himself, and is meticulous. I really appreciated the
fact that he cleaned up. I have never had such a good experience with a
contractor. I would highly recommend him and would use him again. In
fact, we have some projects in the future in which we intend on using
him.
Jerzy is also a great carpenter!

JB Construction Services, Inc. for our bathroom remodel was the owner, Jerzy ("Jerry") and his master craftsman, Slav. I write master craftsman because Slav performed meticulously with each aspect of the project: Rough & Finished Carpentry, Plumbing, Electric, HVAC, Custom Framing, Cabinetry; and with real artistry, - the installation of our Porcelain Tile on all surfaces - floor, walls & ceiling. The finished bathroom ( all tiled with whirlpool, vintage style lavatory and toilet) is spectacular!! Both Slav and Jerzy were very helpful and offered intelligent advice as modifications became necessary during the course of the project. Having worked with general contractors and installers in my own work, I can say that Jerzy and Slav presented a very high level of professionalism, pride in the work, attention to detail and an incredible diversity of skills - and all for a very fair price. I would highly recommend them for any interior construction/remodeling.

We wanted to remodel living room, kitchen, master bathroom and guest bathroom. Jerzy did everything - HVAC, plumbing, electrical, moving walls, removing/adding doors and windows, installing cabinets, installing appliances such as fridge, induction cooktop, oven, range hood etc. Jerzy and his team are amazing. They are very punctual, creative and cost-effective. What we liked the most was Jerzy's "can-do" attitude. Our plans changed a bit during the project and he was very flexible in accommodating the new plans. He was very helpful in picking up materials/tiles/furniture from stores. He recommended a hardwood floor store that I did not know about. The store had a really good selection of floors at great prices- it saved me a lot of bucks. We wanted a modern and contemporary look to the house. Jerzy delivered it. Thank you Jerzy!!We've already recommended Jerzy to one of our friends (who's very happy with his services) and will continue to do so in the future.

I called JB construction in to have them remodel my bathroom and tile my laundry room. Jerzy came over and took a look at the job and provided me with an estimate within 24 hours as promised. And seeing that I liked his suggestions and the reviews that I had seen here on Angie's List I decided to let him have the job. This was my first time renovating anything, and I was very nervous about the whole process but in the end it all turned out very nice. Jerzy was very helpful and when there was a question would call and and we would come to a solution. The demo of  the bathroom was done very quickly and efficiently and the drywall work was amazing. The estimated time of renovation was two weeks, but they did go over by 2 weeks. The quality of work that was done was reasonable with the amount that I had payed. And I liked the fact that I could leave them to do all the work while I was at my job which made it less stressful for me. They were all very trustworthy and it was nice to see progress on a daily basis while they were renovating.
Now why did I not give them an "A"? Because I did all the clean up and removal of broken tiles and debris, and there were a few tiny detail issues. So if I could give them an accurate grade it would be an A- B+ because I did like the work they performed, the final result, and their trustworthiness. So I will be hiring them again to do more work in a few months. And I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

I remodeled my full basement and also added a full bathroom to it from a raw space. I installed most of the framing and got to some technical points in the bathroom and decided to bring in a Pro. Jerzy (the owner) came over at the time promised and gave me a quote for finishing the bathroom framing and plumbing. I also had him quote out tiling the shower and the drywall separately as I was not sure if I wanted to take that on. We ended up using him for all of the above. I handled the painting, electrical (sub'd it out to someone I worked with previously), and flooring and Jerzy and his team took care of the rest.

This was my first time taking on a major renovation project and Jerzy was extremely helpful in making suggestions on how I should lay out the shower and even moved a small wall for me that I "errantly" installed that separated out the storage space to maximize some space in the new bathroom. He also dug up some concrete to get the shower drain where we wanted it. The work completed looks fantastic. Jerzy had a group that he sub'd out the drywall to and they did an amazing job. The walls look flawless.

The pricing for this job was very reasonable. While I did do some of the work myself, Jerzy did a great job of handling some of the heavy lifting tasks that would have taken me months to finish as I only had time to work on this project during weekends. He also did a great job of making suggestions for the work that I was doing and hiding/correcting some of my screw ups. They were very quick with their portion of the build and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves as well. As the job went further, I kept adding on tasks for Jerzy and his team to take on (added the trim and door hangings) and they took on each tasks with no problem.

This was my first time using Angie's list and I found the review's extremely helpful. For JB Construction, they were spot on so I hope my write-up helps. I will be using JB Construction for any further renovations I take on in the future without hesitation. I couldn't be happier with the overall experience in working with Jerzy and his team.

They were pretty professional, wore their shoe covers, but they weren't able to provide an estimate I wanted. The estimate was good.

They were professional and quick. The job was done well. There was nothing that I disliked about them as they were great. They were reliable. They got the job done quickly and made sure to tidy up every day. They did what they said that they were going to do. They went above and beyond with the carpenter ants.

They did some moving of walls and adding of some walls. They rebuilt a bathroom and installed a shower and took out the tub.  They added some can light and did some granite counter tops. They did some painting as well. He understood what we wanted to do with the project and he was able to visualize and bring it to life. He understood the project and he knew what needed to happen and made it happen.  Overall he did great quality work but the only thing we were a little disappointed was the sub contract on the painting. We told him about it and he had the painters come out and fix the issues we had and finish it to our satisfaction. My other comment was that it took a little longer than we thought it would and that was because of the storms and losing power as well as him not dedicating enough manpower. It took about 6 weeks to complete. He was absolutely professional and everyday he left the place after cleaning up in good condition. They were neat about keeping their stuff in a certain area of the house and taping off the house while they were doing different kinds of demolitions to minimize dust and inconvenience to us.  He and his guys were quality in their craftsmanship and workmanship. I have no issues with their punctuality. His guys were here every morning at 6:30 waiting to pull into the driveway at 7 which was the time they were supposed to be here. 

Yurek the owner, was professional, on schedule and on budget with no problems to speak of...They never missed a meeting, were always on site as scheduled and the work proceeded smoothly. There was great attention to detail, and early on, given their experience in plumbing/electrical and HVAC,  they were able to foresee possible conflicts/problems and resolve them. In general a very positive contracting experience and I expect to use their services on new projects.

I called and left a message for a callback regarding replacing the floor boards of the balcony of a condo rental.  My call was never returned.
