We have been using Clar Electric for many years, and have never been dissappointed. This time was no exception, and we are very satisfied with the work.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Jamie.  His knowledge and professionalism was A+.  He took the time to address all of my concerns.  His team was awesome.  They were polite, efficient and neat. I would definitely use Clar Electric, Inc. again and I would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

You don't mind paying for knowledge and great service!  Jamie did a thorough job in checking everything out and I am completely satisfied!

This was the first time I used Clar Electric.  I was extremely satisfied with the work that Jamie did, and I would definitely use Clar Electric again.

The quality of work is excellent, quick and thorough. Jaime was on time for the estimate and for the work, he even dropped by to pick up the keys to the new house. He handle the permits and inspections for us, and answers all our questions. I wouldn't hesitate to call anybody, but I would recommend him to anybody.

Jamie was very professional yet very friendly. He arrived a little later than he had said he would but called me before hand to tell me. I really appreciated that. He installed the light and asked exactly how I wanted it. He then installed the timer which he had to make an adjustment for but knew exactly what to do. I was very pleased with his service and will definitely recommend him to anyone.

He is funny. He really knows what he is talking about. He has more imagination then most in his industry. He works with the customer to get what they hope for. He makes suggestions to help with the plan. He and his two helpers are efficient and pleasant, they clean up after themselves. I enjoyed working with them very much.

Great experience.  Jamie came out quickly to give us an estimate.  His price was reasonable and he said he could schedule us within a couple of weeks.  When we emailed to hire him, he gave us a date about a week and a half out.  His guys showed up spot on time, reviewed the work with us, explained what they were going to do, told us what speed bumps might come up and then proceeded to do the work.  They were efficient, professional, FAST, and highly communicative.  The work was done exactly as we had requested.  They were very careful about our new countertops and made sure that we were satisfied with the placement of the fixtures. Jamie was excellent about responding to emails when I had questions before the work and his responses were thorough and very helpful.  I would definitely hire Jamie and his crew again.  They are terrific and it was a real pleasure.

I've used Clar Electric before and was impressed, so when we decided to install recessed lights it was the only company we asked for a quote. Jamie quoted $540 for 4 lights. On the scheduled day, Phil and Tom arrived promptly and were friendly and courteous (ie closing my garage door when they didn't need it open). They confirmed with me where the lights would be installed as well as the dimmer switch. The project took two hours and they worked quietly, left no damage, and swept the floor when they finished even though they had laid a drop cloth down. Jamie came by at the end to look over the work and handle payment with me. The lights are perfect and we're very pleased.

We were pleased from start to finish. Jamie and his team were prompt and professional in all aspects of their work. They were careful to check with me to make sure I was pleased with the placement of all installations and were very easy to work with. I won't hesitate to call them if I need work done in the future.

I've used Clar Electric many times and wouldn't call anybody else. Jamie always returns calls quickly, schedules a time to come look at the work needed, and then schedules and bids out the job quickly, too.
But the best part is that he and his guys are extremely friendly, professional and they do fantastic work. We live in a ranch house and both this time and last time (when they installed 10 recessed lights in our master bedroom, with two new switches), everything is done without a hitch and without requiring us to re-drywall or re-paint. 
Of course your mileage may vary on that front depending on how your home is constructed and the work you need done, but we're always very impressed with how they figure out the best way to do things to make sure there's a minimum of "fuss" on our part.

The owner came out to estimate the project in the evening.  He was prompt and friendly.  He took the time to carefully review the work we wanted done and provided an accurate, timely estimate.
The work crew was equally prompt and friendly and work proceeded on schedule and minor changes that came up were accommodated.  The price was very good and the work performed was excellent.  All work areas were cleaned up at the end of each day and work started on a day was completed same day.  There were no interruptions to household activities.
Communication was the best of any project we've had done.  Email and phone are both quickly answered.
We had no problems whatsoever and are looking forward to hiring Clar Electric for our next project.

I found Jamie's company, Clar Electric, on Angie's list & was impressed w/ the positive reviews & comments. My initial plan was to have someone come over later in the week to check on the breaker box & outlets in a condo as our tenant said she felt there may be power surges occurring. When I spoke w/ Jamie, he shared his concern that it could possibly be something that would need immediate attention & offered to stop by & check things right away. He promptly arrived, thoroughly checked the electricity inside the unit & in the main electrical room. He was highly professional, very knowledgeable & personable. I appreciated his concern for safety & I was relieved it wasn't a serious problem. He explained everything clearly & I truly had peace of mind after he completed his inspection & testing. I would certainly recommend him to others & look forward to doing future business w/ him & his company.

Easy to work with for both estimate and work performed.  We had the first appointment of the morning and the crew was right on time, with all for the necessary supplies on-hand.  They seemed very knowledgeable about the laundry list of items I had them inspect and the quality of their workmanship was very good (especially since they were retrofitting our century old home).  Would definitely use them again for electrical work.

Jamie called me back promptly and worked around my availability to schedule me within a few days.  He came out and instantly diagnosed and remedied my problem.  He clearly has vast knowledge and experience, and was very friendly to work with.  I am already going to be using him again with an electrical issue I am having at my primary residence.  He's great!

I enjoyed talking to him while he was working on my concerns and he finished everything in a prompt manner. (only about 2 hours)
I am not familiar enough with competitive electrical work labor rates, but with my two contractor experiences so far, I would estimate an average of $100 an hour.
That is a pretty good rate of pay for services. I need to learn how to do some of this stuff.
Actually, I can probably perform at least some of the work myself, but it saves me time and maybe not having the needed tools to buy in order to get it done.
I am sorting out some of the other needed work around the place to see what I need to hire for and what I can do myself.
Otherwise, these guys are very good and I had no problem with either of them.

Overall, the experience was great. Clar was fair, punctual, and did great work.

I called up Jamie and we set an appointment for an estimate. We described the work we wanted done. By the next day he had emailed a quote... which I went over with my wife... and we were good with it.
We had to go buy the fixture for the entrance, and the track lights ourselves. Jamie recommended Northwest Electrical. My wife and I bought all the track light stuff there (the service there was excellent by the way), the entrance fixture I bought at the Home Depot so that it matched the other fixture in the entrance we already had. Once we had all the parts we were required to have (Jamie would provide the rest), we emailed back and forth and then finally settled on January 15th for his crew to come out.
On January 15th at 8 in the morning, two gents from Clar Electric showed up on time and ready to go. They helped move stuff out of the way into the other room and cover stuff which could not be moved with cloth coverings which they brought.
I had all the parts I bought together and showed them where they were and gave a few instructions: like where I wanted the new outlets, and the position that I wanted the track light tracks to be in (3 feet from the wall).
They removed the old crotchety ceiling fans (one made scary  buzzing electrical sounds when you screwed a bulb into one of the sockets). 
They put in the new outlets. One was especially difficult to wire because of how my old 1949 house was set up in that part, but eventually they persevered!
For the most part I worked upstairs at my normal job whilst I heard sawing and hammering of drywall for awhile. Then the noise died down a bit.
Bottom line is, that later in the day I came down and the power outlets were installed, the track lights were installed, and the fixture in the entrance. They had to cut some small slots in the dry wall in the entrance area to wire up the new fixture, but they were very minimal.
It was nice to turn the switch on in the entrance and have it be very well lit. And when I turned on the track lights (which were put on a dimmer), the lighting looked great (much better than what we had before)!
Jamie came out and helped worked on some of that tricky wiring for "that" outlet.
They cleaned up well and put everything back they had moved. We were all very happy with the results and I wrote them a check!
I would highly recommend them and I plan to use their services again.

I appreciated that Mr. Clar takes the time to carefully check the wiring to ensure that we don't have any unindented results from the changes he makes.  He is friendly and efficient and quickly identified the issue and the best way to fix it. 

Although I didn't work with Jamie, he responded promptly to my request. He asked me several questions, and patiently gave me suggestions, which were very useful to me. Jamie also proposed a very reasonable price for his service. Later my friend helped me for the project, and he has reviewed Jamie's response. He would think Jamie got very professional suggestions, and Jamie must be a very good electrician. In the future, I would definitely consider choosing Jamie. Strongly recommended!

We thought that we need to increase our circuit for a new dryer. Jamie informed us that a gas dryer did not need the increased power.

He was able to repair both of my problems.  He is very prompt, called me back right away, let know when he was coming, very personable, and did a good job.  I would recommend him.
