I received an email from Teleflora on July 3 @ 11 a.m. stating the flowers couldn?t be delivered because the phone number was incorrect. I gave them the correct number and Teleflora told me the flowers would be delivered that day. My friend did not receive her flowers until Tuesday, July 5. Someone had been home all day Saturday to receive the flowers but no delivery was attempted and no tag was left on the door. When the flowers were delivered, not only did they look nothing like the bouquet I ordered, but the flowers were old and on their last legs and there was no bow. (see attached photos) Some flowers were brown, some had petals falling off of them. There looked to be only two or three types of flowers in the vase. I submitted a complaint to Teleflora and they contacted the florist who did nothing. I then contacted the florist directly and spoke with Dan, the owner. He told me his driver attempted the delivery, there was no answer and he then left a door tag. He said no neighbors were home. I expressed my unhappiness with the arrangement due to the age of the flowers and the look of the bouquet. He told me he only had $25 to work with (what happened to the $49.95 I paid ? this amount was less the service fee?) and that the bouquet DID look similar to the bouquet in the photos. I told him the bouquet delivered looked as though a 5-year-old had picked some flowers and shoved them in a vase and he said ?then that?s the way it looked in the picture.? I requested the old bouquet be picked up and a new fresh one delivered. He refused and said Robbins did what they were contracted for. Eventually, he said my friend could bring in her flowers and ?they would see what they could do.? He was rude, abrupt and unapologetic. My friend dreaded taking her bouquet back to this company. After I got off the phone with Robbins Florist, I received a phone call from Teleflora stating they were reissuing the order with a different florist. My friend was sent a fresh, beautiful bouquet which she was happy with. I will NEVER use Robbins Florist and neither will my friend (who used to use them quite frequently). I will also never recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I ordered flowers via Teleflora (which were assigned to Robbins Florist in Batavia) for my friend to be delivered on her birthday, July 2. The bouquet I ordered was the deluxe size (normally $62.44, discounted $12.49 via special offer from Teleflora) and it was large bouquet of pink asiatic lilies, dark red roses, purple alstroemeria, hot pink asters, purple mums, lavender waxflower, burgundy copper beech leaves and green variegated pittosporum in a plum vase with a burgundy satin ribbon.
