We could not be more pleased with our experience with the Deck Company. First off, I don't consider them the "Deck Company" but instead Keith & Nate. (as well as their workers). That is, while it is still a business - they take great pride and ownership in how they conduct their affairs. At all times, I felt like I was dealing with people who had a vested interest in our project. From start to finish, working with "DC" was a pleasurable experience. They were very responsive to both phone calls and emails and never left me waiting for a response. (Other vendors that I tried getting quotes from left me waiting for several days, if not a week or more before responding. These other vendors often made it feel like it was an inconvenience to even come out and look/quote the project....not DC). Working with Keith, we were able to adjust the project to fit our budget. He provided valuable insight on what things we should consider leaving out, as well as what items we would regret if we cut out. The project started on-time (even accounting for all the terrible rain/weather we had in June) and finished on-time/on-budget. This was no small feat as it rained everyday during the construction as well. In order to stay on schedule, the team worked early, late - and even on the weekends (whenever the sun would allow). Our install was further complicated in that we were actually gone on vacation during the project. This meant all communications were done via email/phone during construction. Nate treated our home as if it were his own, and continually checked in so we new the status of the project. The only surprise upon our return was how beautiful the deck ended up (pictures didn't do it justice). In talking to suppliers, village inspectors and even other contractors - they always had nice things to say about Deck Company and Keith and Nate. They have immense experience in installing decks, dealing with village issues/codes, and knowing what works and ends up pleasing the customer. Obviously the final product, the deck - is the most important thing...but the entire process/project was a favorable experience.

Missed appointment to do estimate. No response to e-mails subsequently. Provider's response that I have the wrong company is not correct. In private e-mail, provider has acknowledged not appearing to do the estimate as promised.

We hired Deck Company to build a Trex deck for us in December and definitely made the right decision in doing so. We are extremely happy with the process by which the deck was designed and constructed and we are thrilled with the finished product. I was a bit nervous about switching from a wood to a composite deck but I definitely love the feel and look of the deck and I love the fact that our kids can walk barefoot without risk of splinters. The Trex Transcends truly mimics real wood and looks amazing. I highly recommend Deck Company for building decks. Nate and Keith were very responsive from the first time I contacted them for a quote. They always responded quickly to questions via text, phone, or email and it is clear they take great pride in the jobs they do. They were helpful all the way from helping me with the design of the deck to offering advice on how to properly maintain the finished product. They even offered to let me check out another deck they were building in the area to get some ideas on the structure and colors and gave me feedback regarding the ideas I had. They started the deck in the window of time they told us and the crew worked extremely hard to get the deck finished before the ground froze, even working on days when the weather was ridiculously cold. Nate always gave me heads up on what was going on including when materials were coming and exactly what parts of the deck they would be working on each day. He was very well organized. Deck Company did a great job for us and I can?t give them enough praise for their professional approach and commitment to building beautiful, quality decks.

Excellent from the advanced notice of when the materials would be delivered and when work would begin and finsh to the clean-up of the work site. Nate and his team did a great job and even finished ahead of schedule. The final product exceeded our expectations.

Well, where do I begin? First, let me say, EVERYTHING associated with this plan was absolutely PERFECT! And I mean PERFECT! I have NEVER dealt with Professionals like this before, let alone a Company like this! First, they came over and provided me with some ideas, an estimate and we finally came to an agreement for the size of the Deck, the location and the Materials we were going to use. They were up-front about how busy they were and it might be a month before they could get to my Deck. Before you know it, 30 days later and they arrived. First the Post Holes, then the Cement and so on. Unfortunately, I had to go to Florida and visit my 98 year young Father. However, when I arrived back , not ONLY was my Deck done, but they even connected my Gas Grill for me and placed it on the Deck! Wow! Double Wow!! So, asking me if I think these guys are Professionals, is like asking do Ducks really swim in Lakes? Do Eagles Soar? I'd say, Yes! Also, when they were building it and afterwards, it felt like my "Brothers" had performed the task, they were that friendly! In regards to the Cost, it was "Spot-on" their estimate, no more, no less. Can't wait for a good weather day and invite some friends over and have our first Deck Party. BTW: Did I mention they even placed lights on my deck posts? So Cool. Yea, the envy of the neighborhood! Lastly, my wife let me "run" with this without any say or ideas as long as it was within our budget and even she said, "Honey, you really hit a Home Run with this deck!" Simply the best contracting team I have ever dealt with. Professional, punctual, caring and committed to quality. The deck is absolutely beautiful. From the tear down of the old deck to the build of the new one, each step was done with precision and outstanding craftmanship.No shortcuts! Keith and his son Nate, really care about the product they build. The team, was terrific. Any questions I asked were answered quickly and allowed me to make some slight changes along the way. Building a deck in the end of November and into December was challenging due to weather conditions, but it did not affect this superior company from building 1st class deck. If anyone needs a deck, three season room or pergola built, there is only one place to go.

A-MAZ-ING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot begin to express how satisfied we are with the deck. Not only was the workmanship the highest quality, the workers were the highest quality. You could really tell they ave been doing this for sometime, but they enjoyed what they were doing. We weren't their biggest/best customer, but they made us feel that way. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANY ONE ELSE! 100% honest and on time!

Nate and his crew did a great job, very efficient. If we had any questions, we contacted Nate through Angie's list message system, quick respons. Deck was finished with better railings and trims than we had before. The shelf unit was custom built by Nate and it is a great addition to our deck. Happy with the result!

Work was done promptly and professionally. We now have the most beautiful deck on the block. The crew did more than than contracted for at no extra cost.

They were phenomenal! Their price was competitive and I was very impressed. What sold me is the craftsmanship that he, his dad, and his crew demonstrated.

Keith worked with the association for approval of plans, revising as needed. We made several changes along the way, and he was helpful and responsive to those changes. Once the project actually started, it went very quickly. As the old deck was being torn out, the dumpster arrived. It was removed on the day the project was finished, so there were no complaints/comments from others. Because it was done so late in the season, the final landscaping will need to wait until the weather permits.

I had three companies come and give me an estimate to tear down and rebuild my front porch. I selected Deck and Company and I am so glad that I did. They are friendly, down to earth and made me feel very comfortable. I got my estimate and we set up a date and everything went according to the schedule that was set. Nate made a few suggestions for my maintenance free porch and I loved it. I now have a beautiful front porch. If I need work like that again, I will call them. They were great. Karin Woodward

The sales call was timely, well - articulated and not rushed. All details of the construction and time frame given were adhered to. The crew was respectful and professional. Clean up was immaculate.
