Robert was great. He gave me a quote over the phone and showed up as scheduled. His workers were very polite and respectful of my house by wearing booties when inside. They answered all me questions and even made a last minute change without any hassle. I can feel the difference upstairs and high recommend installing a fan by Attic Air. My neighbor even called and had one installed.

On time, and completed job as expected.

Provider website states "We service all of Chicago and suburbs. Estimates are always free." The service location is South Shore, 20 minutes from downtown and not at the far edge of Chicago let alone its suburbs. Yet, the provider declined the job. I noted that I had considerable flexibility about timing for the work. The provider responded that it was not a matter of timing, rather "they don't go that far." The reader can draw their own conclusions about inconsistencies with the service area described on the provider's website and the requested service location. I have my own theory and it did not sit well with me.

A great experience! Chose this company based on all the great reviews they have on Angie's List and I can see why they have such good grades and reviews. Arrived promptly on time. Robert and his workmen were professional, efficient and friendly. Cleaned up extremely well after work was completed. Would definitely recommend to friends.

We received estimates from 3 vendors and Attic Air provided the lowest (just) quote for the work.  They were also the only vendor to offer to go to R-60 vs. R-49 (which is code).
On the scheduled day, Attic Air arrived right on time and got to work immediately.  They were very careful to put down protection and treat the house with care.  They checked over the work, made sure it was set, then completed the spray-in process.  they sprayed from corner to corner with beautiful pink layer of insulation that should do a wonderful job.  Afterward, they cleaned up thoroughly and when they were done, you couldn't tell that the had even been here (except when you looked in the attic.
The most telling example of what a great company Attic Air is follows:  After I received the estimate for the job, I called to make sure they had included the area over the back apartment as I had forgotten to show it to them during the quoting process.  The owner, Robert, was out of town, but said it should be o.k.  When they actually did the work it was obvious the extra space had not been included in the estimate,  but Robert said he was good to his word and would not adjust the cost for the extra space.  Now that is a quality vendor with a real understanding of customer service.
Bottom line, I strongly recommend Attic Air as the company for your insulation needs

It went very well.  I arranged for a home visit to get an estimate for the work.  As it turned out, they were able to replace the fan while they were there.  That saved me a lot of time.

One year ago I had Attic Air add insulation to the attic and reroute two bathroom exhaust fans.  They did excellent work and I gave them an outstanding review at the time.  I recently experienced an intermittent loud whistling sound from what I believed was the master bath exhaust fan.  I didn?t know who to call, and I took a chance that Attic Air may be able to assist me even if it had nothing to do with the work they previously performed.  Robert Carroll responded immediately and sent his crew the following day to investigate.  Of course there was no noise when they arrived, but they made a small modification to the roof vent thinking that may be the source of the problem.  Two hours after they left the noise returned and I again contacted Robert.  He said he could be at my house at 10:00 am the following day, Saturday.  Saturday morning before he was scheduled to arrive he called and I told him the whistle sound was not present.  He suggested I call him any time, day, evening, Sunday, whenever the noise was present.  About 5:00 p.m. Saturday the whistle sound returned and I called Robert.  He was at my house in 30 minutes and found that the noise was not originating from the attic fan as I believed but rather from the toilet.  I was embarrassed that I misidentified the source, but Robert could not have been more understanding and gracious.  He just said he was happy he could help me.  He went above and beyond what I would have expected and demonstrated an exceptional level of customer service.  The noise was a bad inlet valve
in the toilet that I repaired for $10. My sincere thanks to Robert for his service and understanding.

This review actually covers 4 different jobs I did with Robert and his crew.
Robert knows his trade as well as anyone I've ever met, and I always felt completely satisfied with his suggested approach.  He and his crew are fast, hard workers and extremely professional.  They make sure things are done properly and completely.  As an example of the quality standard they set: They spent a couple of hours on a day where they ended up not doing the work and rescheduling after traveling all the way out to the house and setting up, just to make sure it was done correctly (we had another contractor that needed to fix some previous work, to avoid negatively impacting the qualify of the insulation job).  Robert would take pictures of things that weren't correct, take the time to carefully explain why - and whether or not they could correct it themselves.
I have no negatives to report at all, I wish all experiences with home contractors were like this.

Attic-Air came and did the estimate. Robert was very professional. He provided the estimate via email. He covered all the things I wanted done and answered all my questions. We set up a date for Attic-Air to come in. They arrived on schedule. They installed the bath vent fan like I wanted and gave me a separate switch for it. They blew  insulation into the cathedral ceiling as well as over the western attic space. They insulated the attic hatch and put it back down. In the central attic, Attic-Air popped up two boards to allow air to flow from the west attic to the central attic of the house. They also opened up the soffits on the west side and repaired a rotted soffit. Finishing up Attic-Air put in new insulation in the central attic space to bring the whole west side of the house to current code. After finishing up Attic-Air removed the tarps they had laid down and swept up the areas they had worked in for dust and loose insulation. I paid Attic-Air upon completion of their work.

About to undergo a full repainting of the interior of my home but have been experiencing problems with peeling paint from the ceiling in various spots.  It was definitely not a leaky roof as the spots were dry and not discolored.  The painter I had come over for an estimate suggested it might be a humidity/ventilation issue in the attic.  Contacted Attic Air to come out and make an inspection before painting begins.  Robert went up into my attic and didn't find any major problems.  While it was comforting to know that the peeling paint was not the result of some major issue, it is a bit frustrating to not know what the real cause is.  Quirks of the house I guess.  Robert gave me a full explanation of what he did see and there was no cause for concern on my part.  I appreciated his time and the explanation and he did not charge me for the service call. 

From the start of the process to the completion, I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Robert Carroll and his attic air crew.  It impressed me that not only did Robert bid the project,, he also showed up with the crew and worked right along with them until completion of the job.  As a not very handy senior citizen, I appreciated that Robert at no extra cost to me took the time to wrap my water heater pipes and repair some foil wrap on my HVAC unit located in the attic.  He is an honest, straight forward, no hard sell, no frills guy.  The crew arrived on time and completed the job efficiently in 31/2 hours.  They left the place cleaner than when they arrived.  I highly recommend this company for any attic needs.  They do outstanding work.

Robert was very personable and professional. Gave me an honest opinion of what may or not be possible in my bathroom. Sent me a written quote by mail which was very reasonable. Also very obviously a highly skilled professional who knew his stuff. We were scheduled within two weeks.
On the day it turned out that additional venting to exterior wall wasn't possible due to obstruction of the gutter, but his 3 technicians kept me informed at every stage. Arrived on time, were courteous, and cleaned up afterwards. Installed a new bathroom fan, and have found the moisture levels in my  bathroom much improved. I would highly recommend this company.

From the beginning, Robert seemed like an honest and friendly guy.  He actually went up into the attic during the initial inspection/quote unlike the other person who only glanced from the ladder.  Scheduling was quick and easy.  On the day of service, his guys showed up on time and were very good about cleaning up after themselves.  They even fixed my closet light for free!  I would definitely recommend them to everyone.  Thanks Robert!

Robert was extremely accommodating and responsive to our initial proposal request as well as follow up questions.  Leslie was also very timely to respond via email.  
Robert gave us a complete solution to solve our issues with our upstairs which included adding attic insulation to get up to the recommended R-49 level and to install a power attic fan to help with ventilation.  
We decided to wait until after the winter season to see how severe the issue will be in cold weather so we can better gauge performance before and after this work is completed.  We would recommend Robert to anyone who is need of attic insulation and energy efficiency solutions.
