This review is in reference to the Carbondale, IL location.
I ordered the service and even with the ordering of glass they were on site within 3 days which to me is very prompt. They worked direct with my insurance company for payment which made it easy for me. They have a pretty wide window on the day that they schedule you for which means you must be on standby waiting for them. I would of appreciated a narrower 2-3 hour window so I can get use out of some of my day. They definitely seemed to know the process of getting old glass out and new
glass in. They did use a primer compound to cover exposed paint areas from rusting. So the glass part of what they did seemed to be pretty professional and done to a standard.
Now the issues and why I would not recommend this company again. First issue was that after they removed the trim to put in new glass I could see that there was various debris and dirt buildup under those trim pieces. Realizing that was not really their issue I started to cleanup these areas while they were working on opposite side of vehicle. They stopped me saying that they would clean those areas before they replaced the trim so I stopped. I then watched them put the trim back on without cleaning it up as they said they would. It bothers me that they stopped me from doing it and then they just ignored cleaning the areas that they said they would.
Second issue is the cleanup. During their install they several times made statements about how I will likely find various shards of glass in vehicle for some time into the future. They indicated they got all the glass they could. After they left I went and vacuumed the vehicle out with my shop vac. I ended up with a 5 gallon bucket that was between 1/2" to 3/4" deep full of the glass pieces that they did not get out of vehicle. I can understand some small pieces left but to find all the 1/4" pieces of the shattered glass to fill bottom layer of a 5 gallon bucket is a very incomplete job.
Also should be noted that the time they billed to do job to my insurance company to what they actually used was an hour difference. They could of used the other hour they billed to do a much better job of cleaning. I had asked before agreeing
to this company for replacement if they cleaned up the glass and they said most definitely.
