VanderBosch Plumbing was higher then a few of the other quotes I received for the job. That being said, I went with them because they were one of the only ones that identified the correct location on where to tie in the new gas line piping due to a further restriction downstream had we installed it where other companies were suggesting (the line reduced to 1/2" upstream where other companies wanted to install the new line). Their thoroughness and professionalism of the quote received was the main factor for why I choose to hire them.

Joe was the first to show up for the quote and the last to leave when the job was done. I would like to thank Joe, Jose & Andy for getting the 6 ft hole dug by hand & the line repaired on a Friday. They left on Friday with the site safely sealed off for inspection by the village on Monday. When they came back with the inspector minor changes were done that day. They backfilled the whole and compressed it multiple times to minimize settling over the years. Everything was done very cleanly both inside and outside the home. Their quote wasn't the cheapest but we felt it was the most thorough. They broke down the work based on possible outcomes when the pipe was exposed. They even called the village regarding permits prior to writing the quote. I would definitely hire them again.

We ended up getting a good deal on replacement of a tank water heater, although their original quote was twice high of competitors. The work was done on time, cleaned the site. I would deal with them again, but one need to have some idea about the cost of the job to negotiate the price.

I called on early on a Friday afternoon, and Joe came by later that day. Our kitchen faucet was leaking near the handle. He determined that the hose was defective. Even though he couldn't replace it because he didn't have the part, I was able to order a new one from Moen (under warranty). Joe was very polite and courteous, and in addition, he didn't charge me for the visit! I thought that was amazing. For once I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I highly recommend VanDerBosch!
