"Sorry for any inconvenience this situation has caused you. Let me try to explain what happened in regards to your project. I will respond in order of your statements. Two of our repair specialist are going through some family health issues right now and they both just happened to have family health emergencies and had to call off the same day to help out family members as they are the mode of transportation for them. We failed to call you the next day and let you know that we were able to get you in on this morning. I am sorry about the no phone call. We wanted to get you back into the schedule as quickly as possible since it is a roof leak. We should of still called you. The truck which you mention is one of our work trucks. Yes it has a little rust on it for it's age, but the truck is still kept up and it is a work truck with ladders and tools on it and such. Your repair estimate was to remove the siding in an area that was pictured on the estimate. It shows the area where the siding was being removed to access the baby tins or roof flashing. Most of the time a leak of this nature is the result of improperly installed house wrap or none at all. Building code requires house wrap. The picture in the estimate shows the underlayment which is porous and allows water through, unlike a house wrap which does not. The baby tins or roof flashing goes up the wall and under each individual course of shingles. The estimate states to inspect "the baby tins, make sure properly installed". this would encompass inspecting the roofing portion of it. My service techs were going to complete the repair as described in the estimate via the pictures and verbiage. We have been part of Angie's List for many years and you can see by our reviews here and other places that this is not the norm for how we do business. Unfortunately you fell into a perfect storm time. Due to the 4th of July where we had 3 office staff on vacation, including our repair department manager and our 2 guys originally scheduled to come out to your house having to take care of family members emergency situations. I was going to give you a call Tuesday afternoon when I got called away to the ER myself. Sorry for the two week wait for our repair estimator to come out. He performs approximately 25 repair estimates a week and fortunately we are that busy to have that back log. As one of a few companies that actually perform repairs, we do get a lot of phone calls for them. In regards to scheduling your repair date, if he said that you would be called in 1 or 2 days, I apologize for that. As you can see by our process notes in the estimate that are on the first page of the estimate, we do not give specific times that you will be contacted as process' have to take place before that happens. I am sorry for your experience with us and if you would like we can still come out and perform the repair as initially estimated."

Working with Stan's Roofing was a great experience. Stan's is a family owned roofing company and very professional. My roof was replaced when a hail storm damaged all of the roofs in my neighborhood. So I saw many different companies, some from out of state even, and watched my neighbors contractors work verse Stan's Roofing. Here is a small list of things that I think set Stan's Roofing above the others that I witnessed:
1. Great communication during the whole job.
2. Supplies arrived the day before the job was to begin. So they didn't sit in the driveway and get damaged by the sun.
3. Placed boards under the dumpster so it didn't damage my driveway, Stan's was the only company to do this.
4. Used drop sheets around the house to catch debris
5. Gutters were installed the following day, some of my neighbors waited weeks for theirs!
6. Used professional products, quality shingles, ice guard, etc.
7. Crew was professional and clean
My neighbors also noticed the difference and I gave his card to several.
