About us

Great service & repair is a small company of 3 employees working with some construction and home remodeling companies in North Chicagoland. Our service technicians are well qualified professionalists who fight hard to provide first-rate appliance repair along with excellent customer service to you and your family in time of need. We are NOT big corporation which only sees on you like a dollar bill and forgets about you once we leave. We don`t want to waste your time and money taking day off from work – we abide by time and always call our customers 15-20 min prior to arrival at their home. Also our technicians are equipped with most common parts in order to fix your appliance with only one visit. Our primary aim is customer satisfaction.

The large appliance repair Angie's List deal was $99.  When I bought the deal I was sick.  Mr. Gadzhov called me right away.  I rescheduled twice because I was sick - Mr. Gadzhov was very understanding.  On the appointment day, Mr. Gadzhov arrived promptly.  He went right to work, diagnosed the dryer, warned me about some other problems, fixed the heat and repaired the door in twenty minutes.  I asked him to take a look at my frig doors if he had time.  He went right to work, took the doors off, wrangled them back into the proper placement, warned me about too much stuff on the doors, and done in ten minutes.  I've had Sears repair out before - took a long time, tried to sell me a warranty, tried to sell me more parts.  I'm so happy with the Great Service & Repair, and Mr. Gadzhov.  I highly recommend him.

Svilin made time at the end of a very busy day for him to stop by the house and take a look at our oven/microwave combo. He was extremely professional and courteous, and really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain the issue, and even looked up replacement part options online on our behalf. He was honest about the issue and gave us a very forthright recommendation. We would definitely use him again in the future - anytime anything that plugs into the wall is on the fritz!

Excellent.  Arrived on time. Clearly knew what to do.  Replaced internal fuse and in addition adjusted unit for proper alignment with counter.  Deal was for labor.  Fuse cost an additional $60, which seemed fair.  Will use again.

Svilen is very responsive and considerate.  He knows what he's talking about and doesn't try to sell you services you don't need.  He was very quick and effective in fixing our problems, and provided useful information too.   
The price listed above includes parts -- a new large meat drawer lid and the part that attaches it to the refrigerator.  Not sure what the going rates on this type of service are.  Seemed a tad high, but it may be competitive.
We would definitely use Svilen again.

Svilen promptly scheduled an appointment when I called about my refrigerator's ice maker, which had stopped working. He found that the ice maker was not fully filling because of a bad valve in the water supply line, which he replaced. 
However, the fridge was suffering from a larger problem, a bad evaporator, which was preventing it from cooling down adequately.  He recommended that I not get that repaired due to the very high expense (I found a new fridge on sale for about the same as the repair would have cost.)
Highly recommended.

Svilen was fantastic.  I called him on 6/10/15 and asked if he could possibly make a service call the next day and his reply was "do you want me to come out today?"  I was shocked that he was able to come out the same afternoon.  He called about 20 min. prior to our agreed arrival time to tell me he was on his way.  He arrived on time.  He took the time to explain to us what parts of the dryer he tested and even how the dryer works so we would know the function of the part he was replacing!  He was very courteous and I would highly recommend him for appliance repairs.  I called another appliance repair company and they gave me a quote of $165 for service call and diagnosis (the cost of parts/labor would add even more expense.)  I'm "happily" doing laundry again and able to get our clothes dry!  Thanks Svilen!!

Svilen was very knowledgable, friendly and professional. He checked over my dryer and showed me the working parts and made sure I understood everything he was checking over. The installed new coil valves to help the dryer heat up better and advised me to have the dryer vent cleaned out. He said that was by biggest problem causing the drying not the heat up properly. He was nice enough to call me back a few hours later to inform me of a Groupon he had found for dryer vent cleaning at $49. Svilen was fantastic! I will be calling him in the future if any of my other appliances need servicing!

Our fridge and freezer stopped cooling properly.  We called and left a voicemail on Tuesday night.  First thing on Wednesday, Svilen called and set up an appointment to visit us a few hours later.  All is now working properly.  This is the second time we've called these folks for help, and, as before, they are timely, professional, friendly, and fairly-priced.

I've used these guys multiple times for my rental property and they never disappoint. Not only are they very professional and customer service oriented but he is also work quickly. I had problems with my freezer, washer, and dryer. Each time I emailed Svilen with the problem and He got the necessary parts ready for the visit so he can take care of the problem same day. He work around my schedule and have arrived in his estimated time window every time. The icing on the cake is their reasonable pricing. I've never felt like I overpaid for a job. As long as these guys are around, I won't be using anyone else.
