As a small business owner I am the only employee of this company, which I hope to someday pass down to my sons. Jobs are billed differently depending on the size. Customers are charged in two ways; either by the hour, or with a bid total. Often times the bid is a better option for the customer, which allows them to plan ahead. We accept cash, check, & all major credit cards.

other Rob was extremely professional. We are pleased both with the installation and the products that he used. We found him to be very knowledgeable about the products he uses and gave great suggestions to us. Some challenges arose during the addition build, but Rob was able to work around our issues and help make it the great room that it is. We would certainly call him again for any electrical work we require.

Mr. Warkins was very helpful and responsive to our needs. He first came out to see what was needed and set an appointment date for his work to be completed. We are very satisfied with everything. He is quite professional .

This is the second time I had Rob come to do electrical work. He needed to run wiring from the second floor whirlpool tub in the master bath down to the basement electrical box on the other side of the house. He always does a wonderful job. I highly recommend Rob Warkins.

Rob Warkins showed up promptly at 8 am; came in and checked the switches and the wiring in my bathroom that kept shorting out my fuses in my fusebox. With in an hour he had diagnosed the problem and had it all working properly by rewiring the overhead light fixture in the bathroom. He did a very good job; was prompt; and explained everything he did. I give him a 5 star review; and highly recommend him for Home Electrical work. I even got a estimate to replace my old fuse box with an new upgraded Circuit Breaker box and a very good price.

On Friday, my son attempted to install an overhead light for me in the kitchen and all went well until he turned it on and the breaker kept tripping. He checked the base of the lighting and found some exposed wire, covered it, but the breaker kept tripping. Thinking it could be the breaker, I bought a new one for $47, but it still kept tripping! Time to call an electrician! I searched Angie's List Friday at around 3 pm and called a few electricians off this site who had A ratings and the only one who called me back (to date) was Warkins Electric and Rob (the owner) called me back within the hour! Rob said he could come out the next day (Saturday) at noon and I was happy about that - though this was not an emergency, I was anxious to figure out what was going on! Saturday morning Rob called and asked if he could come earlier - around 10 am instead and I was glad to say yes! Rob arrived fully prepared - everything in his tool belt and a ladder in hand - no running back and forth to the truck for stuff. He quickly located the problem (some bare wires that were tucked up under the base). I have really old wiring and Rob explained that sometimes when that old lighting gets moved, this can happen - he assured me it was not a fire hazard and my breaker worked as it should in tripping. He fixed the problem and even took out the new breaker I had bought and put my old one back in so I could return it. Rob put my light up and it works beautifully!
Rob was AMAZING and I couldn't be happier that I now have an electrician I can use who I can trust to do the job right and at a decent price. Sure, a handyman may have been cheaper, but electricity is not something to play with and I feel safe with Warkins Electric doing the job! I intend to use Rob again to put in two plug-ins for me - just waiting for him to get back to me with a date to when he can do it!

It went very well. I was a little concerned about being in DeKalb,IL. I thought maybe it was too far. I was wrong, it was not. Mr Warkins assured me that DeKalb was well within his area of travels.
He is a very good electrician. I am happy that i went with Warkins Electric and would definitely use them again. He is fast, efficient, courteous. I have 2 new light fixtures. I new wall switch, and 2 repaired switches. He found multiple areas that could have been a problem if left unaddressed..I will sleep better at night knowing everything is now fixed properly.

I called and left a message for an appointment and Rob called me back within 24 hrs. I scheduled an appointment for the next business day. He arrived 10 min early, and immedietely fixed the problem. He was prompt, courteous, and fees are very reasonable. I would definately call Rob again for any future electrical needs!

Went very well. He was scheduled to come on 6/26 but had an opening on 6/25. He knew I had an appointment at 12:00 and stated that he would be done in time for me to leave for the appointment. He showed up at 9:30 and was done within the hour. Had time to leave to make appointment.
He switched out the dining room light. Checked ceiling fan and found out it was my control. Told me what my options were in replacing. Followed his recommendations. While installing the control I had a question. Called him after hours and left him voice mail. He called back within the half-an-hour.

I called Warkins Electric Rob had came out to install a outlet and install a above range microwave. He was very nice and professional.
He had to install a new wire from the electrical box to the new outlet for the microwave.
Then he installed the microwave. He was quick and did a excellent job!
I would highly recommend him! I will use him fom now on for my home and all my rental units.
