I called on a Wednesday morning at 8:15 stating that my water heater went out. There was a technician at my house within the hour who removed the old tank and installed the new tank in 4 hours. He also discovered that our expansion tank was faulty and replaced that too. For an additional $65 he added a tray for the water heater to sit in and an alarm that will sound if the water heater begins to leak (which is a nice feature when you have a finished basement).

Basically three years ago we had a complete heating and air system put in. They cleaned the duct work, completely did the vent system and they were very efficient, very neat, cleaned up after they did all the work.

It was very nice. We paid $79 for that but we pay a yearly fee for them to come in and do our heat check and air conditioner. They come every six months and make sure the coils are clean and the air conditioner. They also check the heater. For the service call that we had, we didn't have to pay extra for them to come out on Sunday. The service call fee was $79 which i thought was wonderful because it was on a Sunday. They are very responsive. They are very professional. They always wear their booties when they come in your house. They have a lot of very well trained men that work for them. when you call and need something fairly quick, it is never very long before they come.

I called to set up an appointment and they were available to come out the next day. I was given a time window of between 12-5pm (they can't give a smaller window than 5 hours?). Craig called about 15 minutes before showing up at approximately 2:30. I had a list of 3 items and we went through them one by one. I watched him work and he explained things as he fixed each problem.

The last thing on the list was our water softener. We went downstairs and he spends a minute playing around with the settings and turns on the bypass. He told me water softeners don?t fall under plumbing and that they would have to send out different guy on another day free of charge. Okay the office knew I wanted the softener looked at this when I made the appointment, so why send only a plumber? Overall Craig was very friendly, professional, and informative. He completed the work in around an hour.

2 days later: Jason was scheduled to come over between 8-12. He comes over around 11:30 and looks at the water softener. He tells us it's not working because the settings are wrong and the bypass is on. We tell him they were just changed the other day by Craig. He said the settings are correct now and if it doesn?t work then we need a new one. Really? You can even tell us if it works?  He literally spent 5 minutes playing around with it and did not get out a single tool. He comes back in with an invoice for $56 for his ?labor?. All he did was change the settings and turn off the bypass that the plumber changed 2 days earlier! And keep in mind we were told this visit would be FREE.

Following that I spent 20 minutes on the phone going in circles with their customer service manager. Her solution? Apply the $56 towards a new water softener from them... which start at $900. What a scam. I feel conned.

This company has mostly positive reviews which is why I chose them. This was a terrible experience for us. I will definitely be using someone else when we remodel our bathroom in a couple months. Things to keep in mind if you are looking for a plumber: Pearsons charges $60 for the visit alone, plus $56 per half hour for labor, plus a premium on parts. They cannot give a time window smaller than 4 hours. They may or may not send the right technician for the job. If they don?t, it?s on your dime when the right one comes. If you have an issue with the service you receive don?t expect to get much help with it.

called up Pearson to fix a broken water softener and come to find out it was cheaper to just purchase a new one. So they already had one on hand and were able to replace it within a very reasonable time for a reasonable amount. A bit of a mess was left in the basement and i'm not sure if that was from the busted old water softener or not but otherwise very happy with the work and would definitely use them again.
very punctual.

They arrived on time in had the work completed with in 3 hours. They even lined up the city inspection to be done while they were still here so I did not have to schedule it for another time. They were professional and friendly and did a great clean up job before leaving.
