Started out good; thought I found the best source for immediate and future home improvements. Waited long time for provider (owner Don) to initiate work after first meeting, as we had discussed; therefore, contacted provider again and this time provider followed through. Went down from there after hiring and paying for small-scale phase 1 of planned repairs. Exterior repair appears good workmanship (too high to get close-up view; work done by crew, not owner) with fair cost; however, a handful of interior very minor adjustments over-priced and one still broken because proper part admittedly not used but still invoiced, provider saying he would substitute with correct part when returning to initiate phase 2 repairs. OK with me; I believed provider to be an honest and ethical professional winning my trust by self-professing to be a family, church-going man; even included "g"od bless at bottom of phase 1 invoice; oh well, assumed "g" just to be a typo; perhaps not. In addition, provider applauded self in all the credentials and skills held by same to successfully complete phase 2 work needed. I was delighted! I followed provider's instructions to a "T," to follow up mid-February 2018 following provider's busy tax preparation season. I gave provider another 2 weeks, not wanting to be a bother, contacting by phone during normal work hours. Provider responded "busy," therefore I asked he contact me when convenient; provider agreed. Days went by with no contact, therefore I telephoned provider week-day 8:30 pm and again told "busy." I asked if I could call back 1/2 hour; provider said "yes." Sadly, I telephoned again 9:00 pm only to be greeted by voicemail to which I left a message to please call back when convenient. Nearly a week passed with no return call so I telephoned again recent Sunday afternoon. Provider answered; immediately upon me identifying self, call was disconnected, clearly hung up on. Final contact with provider was a text message from me to him stating, With God as our witness [to this entire matter] I asked he either fix repair still broken as said he would or refund me money paid for this project. To date no reply.
