It was a very busy time for them due to the weather, but they fit me in as soon as they could. I never even heard back from another company I contacted. Matt was very knowledgeable about the regulations for tree trimming. He also answered any of my questions that came up. I plan to call them again.

Matt and crew did an excellent job. Price was very good, arrived at exact time/day as scheduled, performed work in a safe, professional and courteous manner, cleaned up yard and street. I would use this company again and highly recommend them. I called two other companies for this work. One did not respond, the other called me over the phone and gave me the old pitch "I am just completing a job near your house. I can give you a great price if you have me do the work right now." I said "no" that I would get back to him. Matt beat his price by well over $100 (without knowing the competitors price) and the other company never even called back to follow up. This assured me that I made the right decision going with Illinois Tree Service.

Matt came out to give me an estimate on removing a large silver maple, removing a good sized double trunked blue spruce, and trimming a lot of dead out of a neighbor's large ash. Matt was able to provide an estimate on the spot. The following day I was able to discuss the work with my neighbor when he voiced and interest in having another tree, a dead white pine, removed at the same time. I called Matt and he had to come out a second time to give me an additional estimate for the extra tree removal. On both occasions, Matt listened to my thoughts and questions and offered helpful and knowledgeable advice. I also recieved a bid from another highly rated tree service. Again, they were helpful and knowledgeable, but their price was much, much higher and I was a little put off by their repeated pitches to sell additional services. Deciding to go with ITS was an easy choice. We scheduled ITS to come out in about a week. They showed up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. The large silver maple was in the middle of a garden bed and we understood that many of the plants would take an unavoidable beating. We did ask that care be taken to avoid damaging some of the young woody plants that were in this bed. Matt and his crew did a great job of exceeding our expectations for minimizing damage way beyond what we'd expected. The complete job took them most of the day. When they left, everything was cleaned up really well.

Matt and his crew are very conscientious and will do what it takes to make their customer happy. You won't have to explain what you want more than once with these folks. I have used Illinois Tree Service more than once , and will use them again. The only thing I marked them down on (and I hated to do it) was that they showed up 4 hours early without calling, and I wasn't able to meet with them before starting work. It led to one small mistake, but nothing serious.

Matt and his crew arrived at 8 a.m. and took down the upper branches first. Since there was a four man crew - one guy was in the tree cutting branches while two others took care of the organizing the logs to be put in the chipper and the last guy ran the chipper to turn it into mulch. Lastly, the one guy ground out the stump while the others cleaned up the remain debris. He also gave me some advice concerning a maple tree that was hit by lightning last year. I have recommended Illinois Tree Service to several neighbors who intend to contact Matt about their trees. Keep up the good work Matt!

Matt came out and gave me an estimate for all the work described above. He was professional, on-time, and sized up the situation very quickly and gave me the estimate on the spot. It was a very fair and reasonable price and best of all, his crew does all their tree trimming work by climbing up the trees rather than driving a very large and heavy bucket truck on my newer driveway. On the day of the job, the crew showed up 20 minutes early so that by the time they were all setup, it was right at the start time promised. They did an excellent job on the trimming and an excellent job on the cleanup. His entire crew was very friendly and professional. I have hired many tree trimmers over the last 20 years, and I will use Matt's company for all work going forward. One of the neighbors observed how good of job they did and had them walk over and trim one of his trees right on the spot.

IL Tree Service is an amazing company. They have such a great attitude at this business...makes we wish we had more trees to remove! I expected to be billed for this return service but it was included in the original price! They returned soon after I called them to grind the stump. They did grind in the requested areas and it appears that they got it all. I highly, highly, highly recommend IL Tree Service.

they arrived on time; took care and worked with humor. the tree had grown next to and under the fence and they were able to remove the whole stump. there were several other of my neighbors trees that grew through my fence and they trimmed those as well

Matthew Budin was prompt in giving me a good quote. It took us a few days to coordinate the work date, weather and all considering. His crew, run by his brother John, was very professional and courteous. They were very careful with the neighbors' and my property and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Illinois Tree Service.

I would give this company a 5 star rating on a scale of 4. First the arborist Matt R. comes out and you tell him your tree problem. He studies it, makes recommendations and gives you a very reasonable estimate to correct the problem. After getting 2 or 3 other unreasonable estimates you agree on Illinois Tree. After agreeing you worry that only1 guy with a chain saw will come out to correct your serious problem. When they do arrive you are pleaantly surprised to see there are 4 guys, including the arborist who knows how to correct the problem. The other thing you notice is how new,modern, and well maintained their equipment is. The well trained workers set to work and before you know it your trees look better than they did in your imagination. The amazing thing is that with all the falling leaves and cut branches, the clean up leaves the area looking better than it did before they started. I was extremely well pleased with all aspects of the service.

The service was prompt, worked efficiently, and professionally. Two large trees were removed within a couple of hours. I asked if a few limbs on another tree could be trimmed and that was done at no extra cost. I would definitely contact this service again.

great, Matt called the week he said he would & said he had time to come out that same day & complete the job. They did a great job & he followed up after they left to figure out how to get payment as I wasn't home when they came. Will use them everytime I need tree trimming services.

Matt was wonderful to work with. After estimate I had a family emergency, then the massive heat in July which he was ready and willing to come out and do my trees, but I was not comfortable with that..and I'm still happy I made that decision. They did a GREAT job; crew of 4 were here about 3 hours. They did a great job, VERY personable guys and cleaned up perfectly. I'm very happy I hired them and would recommend them.

Very good. Came out early in morning, punctual. Examined problem and gave us his price for the most critical branch removal. Offered to take the second down within his price range.

Used Angies List to find tree service close to home. Impressed by this company's ratings. Matt came to look after work at another job on the day I called. Took a "message" and a second call to make initial contact, but this is apparently due to the fact that the contact number seems to be his cell phone and he is working even as people call for estimates and to schedule. My storm damaged tree had a trunk base of approx. 4 feet and went up approx. 100 feet. Matt is a surprisingly nice guy. Took a look. Stepped back when he saw the size of the tree. Gave me an estimate. I gulped, but knew it was in the ball park from other tree work. Since it was a few days after a series of recent local storms, he said he couldn't come out for a week. Because it was not an emergency situation for me, no problem. Although I don't normally recommend it, we sealed the deal on a handshake. He confirmed the work date a few days later and showed up with a crew more or less on time. Very hot day. He said up front that rather than risk his crew if it got too hot, he might have to do the job in two days. Made sense. He came with a surprisingly large crew of approx. 7, including himself.. He stayed to work himself. Very professional. They ended up completing the job in one day, steadily working for 8 hours. A cutting team and a hauling/chipping team. It was very hard work. A very big tree. Tree climbing. Strategic use of control lines. Chain saws and industrial chipper. Heavy hauling of limbs and trunk slices. Good post work clean up. Good to his word.

I called Matt for an estimate. He was very polite and professional. We walked around the front and back yard and I explained what I wanted done. I had had this type of work done before, and several neighbors had told me what they had paid other companies in the past, so I knew that his price was very reasonable. He was busy due to a recent storm, but said he could get the work done within 2 weeks. It was about a week later that his crew came by and did the work. I was there during the work. They all asked questions to assure they were doing exactly what I wanted. They were all very professional.

Great experience. We found Matt on Angie's List. Gave him a call and he came out on a Sunday to do estimate. Walked with us through the yard and gave his assessment of existing trees - their health and what should be done. We have a large willow that needed trimming and he gave some suggestions but said final decision was up to us. He was able to tell us about general health of the trees. He was able to give us a ballpark estimate on the spot - which was very helpful because it gave us a general idea of what we would be spending. Follow up phone calls got us to a specific list of items to be done - 4 trees removed, bush removed, large willow trimming, more minor trimming, etc etc - and got us to a specific quote. We then scheduled a specific date time. We did not get any other quotes so I cannot say how his estimate compared with others. On the scheduled day I got a call from Matt that they were running a bit late. He revised arrival time by about 1 hour. He was very apologetic and it was no problem for us. The team then arrived at the new time. It was a group of 4. Head guy (whose name I do not recall) then walked with me through the yard to discuss what was agreed to. They then went right to work. Team worked steadily for hours. All limbs were removed after trimming. Yard and sidewalk were cleaned up very well. Lots of trimming was done and it all looked great. I did discover a few days later that there were still a few roots left where 2 small pines were removed but I was able to cut them back myself - only about 1 inch in diameter - so not a big deal but maybe next time I'd ask them to spend a minute or two more with root grinder. All trimming looked excellent - these guys obviously know what they are doing. Matt came at the end to ensure that we were happy and that all work was done. He then presented us with bill. I remarked that it was slightly higher than what he had told us over the phone. He immediately apologized and revised invoice. Overall, we are very happy with Matt and his team. Professional, hard working and thorough. Yes, we will use them again and Yes, we would recommend them.

Matt came out on a Thursday and quoted me $500 after a thorough tour of my yard (front and back). He said his crew would be out sometime within a week or so. He was right on schedule. His crew arrived at 9:30 am on Thursday a week later and were completely done just after noon. They did a terrific job for the price. I would have liked to seen the yard a little cleaner after they left but I can live with that. Over all, these guys are the real deal and I would recommend them to anyone.

Matt contacted me quickly after I left a voice-mail, he was out to give me an estimate within 2 days and continued to communicate well by phone after I asked a question about a stumping add-on. They showed up early on the date of service (a veerrry hot and humid day) and carefully took chunks of the tree down over the course of the day. After the job was complete, they cleaned up not only our roof but our neighbor's roof both which had collected small fallen debris. They also cleaned off our yard, driveway, and patio. Watching this job was amazing; one guy was waaaayyyy up there (using cables for safety, but still...) This was a very skilled crew working this job - each person of the group was always busy and it took the entire workday. We had gotten 3 quotes from Angie's List providers - Illinois Tree Service was the lowest PLUS they offered a coupon in addition.. W/o Angie's List, we'd never take the lowest bid because normally you get what you pay for. (We had quotes up to $4000!) But with Illinois Tree Service, I felt we got a whole lot more than we paid for. BTW - they did not use our bathrooms, even though I offered. I would recommend this business with no reservations.

We were really pleased with them. Everything was great. They were very good and very professional. We couldn't have asked for any better of the job. We will definitely recommend them to anybody for any kind of tree and the shrub service to be done.

Matt returned my initial call for an estimate within ONE MINUTE of me leaving him a message! He came out the next afternoon to provide the estimate calling as we had arranged to give me a specific time of arrival. The estimate was very reasonable and we agreed to have his crew come one week later to perform the agreed upon work. A crew of six men arrived promptly on June 10th and worked steadily until all of the trees were removed and the surrounding yard was raked and completely cleaned up. All of the men were polite and friendly. They were extremely careful as they removed the trees so as not to damage the wooden property line fence, the white fiberglass fence surrounding the in-ground pool, or the actual pool. I was very impressed with their professionalism, competence, and attention to detail. Matt's crew did everything that I had requested and more! They left my yard and driveway in excellent condition. I appreciate the company's accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, attention-to-detail, and reasonable fees. We'll definitely have them back to do more tree removals in the future, and I highly recommend them to anyone that wants a straight-forward, honest, timely, high-quality, fair-priced tree service experience.

The company was very prompt in providing an estimate and completing the work. Matt was out on Tuesday to provide an estimate and the work was completed that Friday. They were careful not to damage any property and did a great job cleaning up afterward. They asked for my input in regard to the pruning of the trees to ensure it was done to my liking. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work performed. I would definitely use them again.

They cut down a large tree on one job. Trimmed down a very large tree on a second job. The third job was to dig out some bushes.
