They appeared to not have a lot of experience with older garage doors but in the end they did complete the job.

One of the garage door springs broke late one night.  I called for a quote the next day and the guy on the phone said it would cost around $150.00. I agreed to have him out to take a look.  He came out 3 hours later and explained to me what would need to be replaced and said 'ballpark' $150 - $200 max.  I agreed to have the work done even though it was not a written estimate.  One install guy comes out several days later.  He was not strong enough to lift the door by himself, so I had to help.  It was a really heavy door, so they should have sent two guys and not asked me to assist.  He completed the work in a little over an hour and presented me with a work order to sign.  STILL NO FINAL PRICE.  He said 'ballpark' $225-$275 max, but that he doesn't have the pricing, the 'girls' in the office handle that. I get the bill and it is $379.00.  This job went from $150, to $379.00.  I called the office to complain about there tactics of only giving 'ballpark' verbal quotes. I spoke with the owner who was very cocky and said he doesn't have time to have his guys driving around giving quotes to people all day.  Then he said that he reviewed my bill and found several billing errors.  1) I was over charged the amount of time the guy worked.  2) The wrong code was entered for some bolts.  They came up as $10 per bold, instead of $2.50 per bolt. The bill dropped to $325.00.
There 'ballpark' quotes are very unprofessional.  Each 'ballpark' slowly goes up to ease the customer into accepting a more expense final prince.  I really did not like that I had to help him lift the heavy door twice.  They should not rely on the customers assistance.  If you do go with this company, be sure to call and have them doubt check the billing; you to might have over $50 in 'mistakes' on the bill.

It went great!  My garage door broke one evening - I couldn't open it even manually as it was a 2-car garage door.  I left them a message - they called me the next morning.  They had a door in stock.  They installed the next day.  I was at work, and I had the cleaning lady make sure they could get in, and they had it all installed before I came home from work.  It was great!   No mess, the door looks great!  I would highly recommend them.  I was even able to use a 5% off Angie's list coupon.

They were here before we expected them.  The next morning they came and nobody even called and they said that it was on their list.  They came out and fixed it and it is working fine.  We are still waiting on the front door because it had to be ordered, but they are going to do that as well.  They seem to have done a great job on the garage door.

I sent an email using Angie's List and received a call the next day to schedule the appointment. Initially the parts were not in to install the garage door opener I wanted, was offered a better model at the same price as the unit I wanted. The technicians showed up at the proper time of the appointment and called prior to arrival to ensure someone would be at the residence.  Everything was installed properly and quickly. Overall very satisfied with my experience and would recommend their services.

Our garage door opener made a sound but the door didn't go up or down.  I called
Crawford & Brinkman on a Friday morning and spoke with someone in the repair dept. who
was very pleasant and able to give me all the information I asked for.
Normally, their work is done the same day you call, but due to the very
cold weather they had more work than they could handle that day so I was told
someone would be at our home on Saturday between 9 and 12 and weekday
fees would apply since they couldn't do the work that same day.
Terry from Crawford & Brinkman called on Saturday to let us know he would
arrive in approximately 10 minutes and was at our home by 9:20.

This company doesn't come out to do estimates, but come with a fully
equipped truck to do the work.  Terry was professional and efficient as
well as pleasant and knowledgeable.  He completed the job of replacing
gears that had worn out and was on his way by 10:00.
My husband and I definitely recommend their service.

Garage Door wasn't closing properly. Serviceman adjusted the sensors, oiled the hinges, and did something to make the door close quieter. They can't predict exactly when the servceman will show up because he's working on other doors, but that was okay with me. It's the honesty and service that counts. Great service.

I called and they told me they would be out on Thursday morning. Thursday morning came and went. I called, they said be out around 1, since had an appointment that afternoon. I set up a time - first thing on Monday morning (they were all booked up for Friday). Monday morning, the serviceman came and all went well from then on, took about an hour. Very satisfied.

They know what they are doing.  They are not over-priced.  They know what's wrong and they know how to fix it.  I have confidence in them.  They won't sell me anything that I don't need.  It was not an expensive fix.  They were straight up with me.  I had confidence in them.  They knew what they were doing.  They were good for commercial as well as residential work.

After getting the run-around from 2 other companies, I was excited to hear that Crawford and Brinkman could come out and install a new garage door opener the next day.  I was told they had a truck to unload in the morning, but they should be out for the install by 9:30 AM.  I took a half day off from work to be there for the installation.  10:00AM rolls around and someone from the company has yet to show up.  I call to see what the deal was and I was told that they had me scheduled for a 1:00PM install and I shouldn't have been told 9:30.  At this point I had to call into work and take the rest of the day off.  1:30 rolls around and still no one has shown up.  I call back, and I am then told 2:30-3.  4:00 comes around, and the service guy has yet to come.  I call and I am finally told he will be at my house in 45 minutes.  The service guy did not show up until 5:18.  I wasted an entire vacation day for nothing. Overall, the install was professional and timely.  They guy new what he was doing and I was left with a nice clean installation.  He even made several adjustments to my garage door and track, and beefed it up quite a bit.  I was very please with the results, just not with their ability to adhere to their time commitments.  I was given a $40 wireless keypad for free, but I am still left with the salty taste in my mouth after the issues with the appointment time.  I would consider using them again, but only after confirming the appointment time several times prior.
