The initial customer service in the Peoria, Illinois store went well. Once the store received my money, everything went horrible from then on. I had to wait for over two months until the furniture was delivered. The initial shipment included a dining room table. It was obviously broken and this wasn't noticed until after it was delivered. I had to wait approximately a month to get the replacement. The second shipment included a sofa and a love seat. Once the furniture was delivered, the delivery personnel wanted me to immediately sign a release stating that everything was fine. The next day I put coasters underneath the furniture to protect my hardwood floor, and I noticed that the love seat was severely ripped on the bottom. I can't believe that this wasn't noticed by the delivery people who had to turn the furniture on its side to get the furniture through the door. The piece was eventually fixed, with a lot of prodding, but it took a very long time. Several months after having the sofa and love seat in my home, the furniture continues to emit a strong industrial type of odor. I called customer service in Peoria, not wanting to file a claim, but only to get some advice. The agent treated me like a criminal and told me that odors were not covered under my very expensive warranty. I had not said one word about wanting to use my warranty; all I wanted to do was fix the problem so my stepchildren and I could sit on the furniture without becoming ill. She said the problem was likely due to a spill, but when I told her that every inch of the sofa, love seat, and pillow had the same smell, she became very defensive. It became ridiculous to say the least and a shouting match. Next, I called the corporate customer service and they also were also very rude. I finally called a competitor's customer service, and they were very helpful and gave me some ideas which seemed to improve my situation.
