CRACKS, CRACKS CRACKS !!!My brand new ten month old driveway from Total Paving is a bunch of CRACKS!!! The cracks are growing longer and wider and new ones are forming all over my driveway- down the center of the whole driveway, along the sides and in between. The owner of Total paving George Lozada even noted on an invoice that “a notable amount of cracking , which is not typical for a year old driveway , has become an issue that may not be resolved by typical repair methods”However, he would not redo the driveway which is under WARRANTY unless I hired a soil Expert and agreed to pay for the dig up of the old driveway undercutting and new asphalt which was going to be the case as asking for a driveway without cracks was opening a can of worms . I already paid 11,589 and am not going pay for a redo .The Total Paving says they Guarantee an esthetically complete driveway that shows off its quality through its beauty”- that is Not my Cracked driveway! Total Paving website states “our commitment to you is to provide a strong and durable pavement that us functional , reliable for years to come “ - that is Not my Cracked driveway.Total Paving website states “the proper steps are taken to install a driveway that lasts “-that us not my Cracked driveway! Whether it was improper base,( which I have pictures when they widened my driveway on the cracked side they never added any rocks or base the day of installation)wet base, the asphalt material or installation workmanship something went wrong that day and my driveway from Total Paving is horribly Cracked!

Total Paving removed and replaced our 525 sq ft driveway which was 20 yrs old. The estimator called upon arrival in late-August 2020. The estimate was received via email the same day. The office staff was helpful in answering questions and prompt in providing referrals. The quote stated the turnaround time of 6-8 wks from signing contract and submitting deposit (half the cost) which proved to be true since our project started 7 wks later (mid-Oct). The crew arrived on a Friday to remove the old asphalt and prepare the base. It wasn’t until 10 days later (late on a Monday) that the driveway was reinstalled. We opted not to park in the garage during this period since the driveway base was 2-3 inches lower than the sidewalk and the garage floor. The length of time between driveway removal and pavement installation was not the 3-4 days stated on their project construction guide - - so be forewarned, this may also happen to you (due to weather, their other projects and equipment downtime). I was concerned that the driveway was installed when the air temperature was only 35 degrees but the crew and office staff said “we do this all the time.” I delayed providing this review until at least one winter had passed. Our new driveway is smooth, well compacted, with flush edges at the garage floor (no longer a bump) and the sidewalk. This company does a quality job, however, on their timeline.

Very pleased with the work and price. They came for anestimate the next day after I called. Work was done in a timely maner. Looks great.

An absolute disaster from start to finish. Communication was nonexistent once we signed the contract. They kept pushing off the work until late in the season. Then destroyed our landscaping with a heavy machine we didn't know they were going to use. Framing was initially done incorrectly and had to be redone, costing another 2 weeks. The final product has significant discolorations and splotches still visible almost a year later, and they didn't remove sections of the old patio by the doorways, leaving a total mess. DO NOT USE.

Quick response for estimate and information. The rep was responsive to questions and requotes. However, I was disappointed in that the work was started 8+ weeks after we signed the contract (from our original discussion, they were scheduling jobs about 3 weeks in advance). The work was done over 3 days (not consecutively!), and we weren't notified of when the work would be done on some jobs until the day/night before....which may or may not be an issue with you. I understand they have different teams for different jobs, but I found it frustrating in not knowing when the job would be completed. 2 note worthy items: Their client hub/quote info/email/payment process was top-notch. Secondly, I provided Total Paving with a picture of bricks/design from a neighbor that I liked and they were able to create my sidewalk with the same type of design... Overall, I'm pleased with the results, just a little slower than I anticipated.

This person/company never called or replied to my request. NONE of the companies listed here did for various jobs I needed done. Very disappointed.

Total is one of the few contractors i have worked with that truly brings the professionalism of a commercial contracting to residential services. The job that we had was both a big one and challenging - not only a new, oversized concrete driveway and turnaround with complex grading and a built in drain, but also a huge new mortar-set flagstone two level patio and 5 foot wide walkway to the garage as well (not to mention a new 40 foot long mortar set flagstone front walk). Oscar, the lead for the project for them, was incredibly attentive and fair in every way including being very solution-oriented through the project and making sure everything was the highest possible quality. And their pricing was extremely competitive - pretty remarkable given the schedule, budget and quality performance they provided. But I want to especially commend the crew that worked on the project (and the lead whose name I have misplaced) - they were first class and really treated the project like it was their own home. In all, I would highly recommend Total for any project you have that consists of these parts or pieces. Just a great organization to work with.

The work went smoothy, however, the driveway that they laid just 3 years ago that is supposed to last 15-20 years is now cracking down the middle. I have contacted them by email and by phone at least once a week for the last month and cannot get anyone to come out and look at it. I keep being told that they are waiting for the project manager to respond. After paying them $2500 for their services, it is disappointing that they are unresponsive and do not stand behind their work.

Total Paving did excellent work. No collateral damage around the work site. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the finished ahead of schedule.

Not good, the first appointment something came up and they cancelled at the last minute. It took a while before I could have someone come out again. Then when they cam out, it seemed like I was a bother, the representative said they "really do not do residential work." That was a couple days ago, I still have not received my estimate. I will not use this company and I would not recommend them.

I usually don't write reviews, however, I was impressed by their professionalism, organization, and quality of work. They handled the permit process for me, and once the permit was awarded and work scheduled, they quickly handled tearing out the driveway and replacing it. I did see that someone complained about communication; however, I found that if you call them with any questions there is always someone that answers the phone and your questions quickly. We have gotten many compliments on our driveway and have recommeneded them to neighbors. The only thing I can not comment on is how well the driveway will hold up, as they just did the work recently, but all other aspects get a strong 5 star rating. Very happy!

Uneven areas collected water. Other minor issues. Completely unwilling to consider any responsibility for claim of damage to garage door(s). Rude, combative, seemingly disdainful regarding customer satisfaction.

photos sent to office, workers had not seen photos, no clue as to what had been requested. Workers not interested in doing the repair work wanted to do the re-seal and go home. Took 4 re-schedules due to their equipment problems/overbooking to get the work done.
