"First of all, I apologize to you if I offended you in my follow-up call. I do try to return all calls I receive to the customer, whether I can assist them or not. It was my understanding from the message that you needed roofing repairs and siding repairs from storm damage. Palatine did experience a terrible storm a few weeks ago and the damage was very extensive everywhere. We do not do any roofing at Lake Cook Exteriors and my company does not do siding repair work from storm damage. With the influx of calls from the recent storm I am sorry if I gave you a bad impression but I honestly could not take your project on for the scope of work that I do not perform."

A week and a ½ passed and I had not heard anything so I called and left a message following up to see if the quote had been sent out. I did not receive a response.
Called again about a week later and spoke with a gentleman in the office. I told him that I had spoken will Bill and he was going to send an estimate. Gentleman took my information and said Bill would get back to me. I did not hear from Bill. Called a third time a week later and spoke with a different gentleman. Relayed that Bill was supposed to provide an estimate and I had not heard from anyone at the company. During that call, found out that Bill is the owner of the company. I never heard from Bill or anyone else at Lake Cook.
"First of all, I want to thank you for your business. I know that you had good experience when you were dealing with Don on the gutters. I want to apologize for my failure to properly follow up with you. I am very sorry about what happened. I wanted to give you some explanation of what occurred with your estimate that perhaps led to your request for an estimate to “fall through the cracks”. This is not the norm or the usual way that Lake Cook Exteriors operates. At that time the pricing application that I use from Therma Tru was not working due to the new OSI operating system that was installed on the Ipad. I expected that the software should be operating within a week after . investing some time with their tech support. The following week our office computer was having serious. When the issues were resolved, we were busy trying to get caught up with all the daily work at our busiest time of the year. Again, your phone message had been overlooked after your third attempt. I know in hind sight that I should have returned your call even though there had been a long delay in making any sort of contact with you about your estimate. Again, I apologize. We process between 350 -400 leads a year and unfortunately I missed an opportunity to provide an estimate to you after you were already a customer due to problems that occurred with our office operations. I know that our company has had many excellent reviews on Angie’s list for our installations competed, our personal service and has been given the Super Service Award for a several years. I am sure those reports probably guided you to consider having us do your gutters. The crew came in on time and did not even bother me since they worked outside. They finished all their jobs in the morning and cleaned up all debris. I had a leaking front gutter before this repair, which was very annoying in heavy rains. Not a problem anymore after this work.
