Best Windows Inc

The first set of windows took 2 weeks longer than promised but we were replacing 3 huge windows. The second set of windows came a week early. WIth the price we would have waited longer. It was not a huge deal as John kept us posted to everything that was going on. We saw 2 install crews at our house so both crews were professional. No issues to report.

After shopping around for windows from large companies like Pella, we decided to go with locally owned Best Windows Inc. John came by quickly after calling for a quote. It was the same afternoon if I recall. John completed a formal quote that included all services to be rendered. We were not able to pull the trigger for a while after the consultation. Best Windows Inc. was never pushy - they sent steady, hand-written letters even several months after the quote was given. When we were ready, we contacted John and within the hour, his team came by and took measurements. Less than a month later, we were ready for installation. The crew was incredibly efficient during the installation - at least an hour and a half less than what I was told the job would take.

I talked to John on the phone and explained what we were looking for. I was certain that we would be replacing the 1st flow windows as we were getting a new deck and our current windows didn't either open or close or do either completely and we wanted additional security since they would be more accessible. Plus we wanted to improve the energy efficiency of our old home. We made an appointment and he was prompt courteous and brought a sample of the windows we were would be looking at installing. His explanations were great. The references and guarantees he provided were top notch and to top it off he offer me a better deal than the one I found on Angie's list. I was so pleased that I decided to do the upstairs windows as well. The whole process was completed in less than a day (which was good because it extremely cold day). The windows looked great when completed and they did end up having to fix some of the wood work due to shifting of our old house. From the outside in the back it looked like we had remodelled which was great. It was great to have enrgy effiecient windows that we could actually open and close all summer. Now that the weather is getting colder you can really tell the difference in terms of keeping the cold air out. There was one mix up/timing issue on the day of install since they were late and we were just leaving to take our kid to school when they showed up, but they made up for it in working fast and doing great work. the owner and workers were all very honest, professional and their work was very good. one of the workers helped me with a problem i had w my car as i was backing out of my driveway to make room for the truck

John was friendly and professional. It was obvious he not only knew his product, but was passionate about his company. He took the time to explain the difference in the windows and the various options available. Unfortunately, we required wood windows and Best does not carry the ones we required. I would recommend Best Windows.

John did tend to run a little late for appointments, but he was very thorough and unhurried while with us. No high pressure sales, and he explained everything very clearly. He kept in contact with us between the time when we ordered and when our windows were installed. The installation was great, and the installers were very professional and fast. We noticed a difference right away in the way our house was able to maintain the cooler a/c temps in the summer. And now it is also helping keep those rooms that were always too cold much more comfortable. We are very happy that we went with Best Windows!

John gave us a fair estimate for a product superior to other Angie's list providers at a similar price. His workers were excellent and we were pleased with the service. John even stopped by later on when one window was sticking to provide a solution. Highly recommend.

I spent lots of time trying to get John out here. When John was here, he did not listen to what WE wanted and told us what he thought we should have. John said I would have prices in a few days. That never happened. I called and got nothing except explanations of how busy he is and how much his profit has gone up this year making him too busy to give me prices. This went on for a few more weeks, totaling over a month since he came here. John left a message saying he would give me prices if he came out here, he would not email them as he said he would. At that point I was done. I don't play games. I have found someone else to do the job.

I had already called to schedule 2 other window companies on Angies list for an estimate on the replacement of 2 large windows. Then I saw Best Windows from my former neighborhood and decided to call him. John set the appointment promptly, came out within a couple days and was very knowledgeable and professional. I saw the quality of the windows, selected the color of the outside aluminum trim and read some great reviews about his company. He gave me a good quote immediately and I gave him a 50% down payment to order the windows to be made. He called within 3 weeks, scheduled the install and 2 very experienced installers came and had my new windows installed and work site cleaned up in under 3 hours! They did a very professional job. (note-after meeting with John on first appointment I decided to go with him and cancelled the other estimate appointments with 2 other companies) I felt that satisfied with his presentation, product and company. I would highly recommend Best Windows in La Grange Park Illinois and would use them again! Very satisfied!

I needed him to come look at my windows because I did not know about the sizes but he did not want to come look at my windows. Now my tenant is holding my rent because of this. I just wanted an explanation about the specifics of the windows but he wouldn't do that.

My experience has went very well so far. They have been very responsive and professional. He is a great guy. The pricing is reasonable. I am looking forward to having the work completed.

Price was good and we are happy with the quality of the actual windows. However sometimes getting a response from John, the owner of the company, took a while. I know that he is really busy but that is not an excuse in my book. When we decided not to go with vinyl siding I told John and he said he could quote us Hardie board. A few days later he had a few guys come to measure the house for a quote but didn't tell me so I was a little alarmed when I saw two random guys walking around in the back of the house. He never gave me the quote anyway. The guys that did the installation of the windows were fine, but used a non-paintable caulk on the inside. We have a fixer upper and are still trying to finish the house so not all of the windows have been painted/fixed up. Not to mention that some of the windows that were already finished needed a new piece of trim so when the painter that John hired to paint the trim came, the paint came out looking spidery and awful because it wouldn't adhere to the caulk. Windows were installed in July but John didn't send the painter out again to remove the caulk, put in paintable caulk and the paint again until September. The windows don't look great on the inside but I have given up.

John provided one of several quotes we received for windows from several manufacturers. Not only did John have a great product to sell, but he came to our home twice to show us the sample and provide pricing. His presentation was extremely informative, and yet was also the only no-pressure pitch we received. The installation of the windows was done in a very professional way, and in the time frame quoted. The men worked efficiently, and were careful while moving through the house and cleaning up all remaining debris. We have now had the windows nearly 1 year, and we are still extremely pleased with how they look, the ease of opening/closing, and cleaning. Have had absolutely no problems.

I called John on short notice about getting an estimate on my windows and he came the same day. He was very punctual and knew everything he could about his windows. He brought beautiful. displays to show everything he offered, he even recommanded someone who could do custom blinds for me. On the day of instllation his team came on time to install my beatitual windows they were more lovely in person then what I would imagined. John recommended etched glass and I went with his idea also the number of panel I wanted. I knew I wanted bow but he helped my completely express my ides of what I wanted. Im very pleased with the service and the professionalism I received and would recommend him to anyone. Continue doing a wonderful job and I look forward to working with you again in the future. Called John to get a quote to replace a few windows in the front of our house that were rotting out. John came out to the house, right on time and showed us a sample replacement window that he had brought with him. No high pressure and no negative remarks about his competition. After discussing the window he was offering, we decided to have all of the windows in the house replaced. Get it done once and be done with it! Called John to accept his quote and gave him a deposit . One of the company installers came out and measured all of the windows to replace and waited about 30 days for the windows to arrive. Best windows installation crew came out and removed all of the old windows and installed the new units all the first day. The installers were back the next morning to complete the capping, trimming out and caulking. Everything done in two days! We love our new R5-Triple Pane windows! Thank you John. The job was done right and everything looks great! Update 4/21/2014: Just experienced one of the coldest winters in decades and our new replacement windows from Best Windows cut our gas bill by at least 20% or more over the winter. We love these windows! Thanks John.

He came out and has sample windows with him and then we walked around the house and gave us recommendations on what would look good based off off the area. He was really good about giving his professional insight because he has been working with windows for a very long time and I've been very happy with the recommendations. He told us the cost of higher energy efficient window versus getting it back. The savings is so different; it’s not worth it to spend money that much on it because the saving from that is nearly as big with the other windows. He was very direct, there was no big pitch. He was good. The workers covered things up with sheets. They were good about trying to go from one phase to the other phase. They didn’t finish it in one day but he didn’t think that they would do it in one day. The second time they came out, they brought one of the special windows. He measured it right but he wrote down the wrong numbers and he was apologetic about that and made sure that it was ordered. Once it came in, he had somebody come out here to install it. They left the stickers on the windows.

It went great. John came out to give us an estimate the same day that we called. He was very professional in his presentation, and recommended 2 double-hung windows to replace the 1950's windows that we had. The price also included the installation of vinyl siding to finish off the outside view of the windows. He said that it would be about 3 weeks until installation, and we were surprised when he called only a week later! His crew came and removed the windows, installed the new ones and the siding, caulked the area, cleaned up everything, removed all debris, and showed us how to tilt the windows in for easy cleaning. We will definitely be repeat customers when the time comes to replace other windows. We are extremely satisfied with the whole experience and the finished product!

John was prompt and courteous. The window sample seemed to be of good quality. His estimate was the lowest of the three we received. John indicated that he needed to charge sales tax on the windows. In speaking with other window installers, they have told us that if a company does the final install, they do not need to charge sales tax. To some extent, this was irrelevant because the price comparison ultimately comes down to total cost. The reason that we did not purchase windows from Best Windows was the boilerplate language on the back of the agreement where we would seemingly give away every legal right allowed under the law.

Overall it was a good experience. The sales associate was very friendly and explained the product and services fully. Very professional, however, went with another company due to liking warranty and product a little better.

John was great from start to finish. He communicated service guidelines, explained to me about window choices, which was great since I am a first time homeowner. I will be using this company again to replace the rest of the windows. Very professional and did not over sell the services.

what I thought was an issue which was resolved during a phone conversation with John. His crew was great........courteous, professional, fast and efficient. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who is straight forward and follows through on what they promise.

John came out right away to give us an estimate on replacing our windows. He explained the difference in the different brands of windows and was very polite, and respectful of our budget. After receiving a couple of quote we went with Best Windows. As far as price, they were almost exactly the same as another company but the fact that we could have the windows ready and installed in 10 days versus 3 weeks when the weather was starting to get really cold sold us. The installation went great, fast and the installers even caulked around some of our other windows frames that were drafty. An added bonus is that John sent us a tax rebate form and personally called us after once the government passed an additional tax rebate which we qualified for. We wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for John.

Called John to get our original windows replaced in our 1950's home. All the wood was rotted on them and they were very drafty. John came the same day that I called, although i do live less than 2 miles from him. He gave me an estimate to replace 5 windows and a big picture window with 2 casements on the side which was very reasonable. We also asked him to replace all the sills and casements on the windows as they were in very bad shape as well. 2 weeks later our windows were in and he scheduled his team to install them. He gave me a call about 45 minutes before the installation time asking if they could install the next day as we had freezing rain, very understandable. The next day his guys came to install, they were very courteous and they worked pretty much nonstop until the windows were in. The gentleman that did the wood work (I believe his name was Ivan) was very methodical and didn't rush at all. He made sure that everything was cut perfectly and installed right. He did such great work that all the other trim around my house looks horrible in comparison. The other gentleman did the outside work which looked great as well. They worked very clean for such a messy job, my house was very clean after they were complete. They took everything with them and I didn't have any material to deal with. John joked that his installers are the reason for the great reviews, I would have to agree with him as their work was incredible. I am amazed with the quality of work and window I got for the price. We have 3 more to replace and I am not going to hesitate to call John again.

John and his crew are amazing! The were willing to work with us through our unusual circumstances. They arrived when promised and complete the job as promised. The windows they installed are a quality product and we are definitely pleased with the work. My husband I are extremely impressed with the professionalism and detailed workmanship. We definitely be using BEST WINDOWS in the future. John is the best!!!!

Excellent company! I would recommend to anyone looking to replace their windows. Exceptional customer service, and workers were terrific. Cost is low but the quality is exceptional. Work was done very timely, and very professionally.
