Technician called in advance, as promised, to confirm time of arrival. He arrived, set up, did his thing, and was gone in an hour. Of course, I had the section of drywall removed already and all obstacles cleared, so his work was very straightforward, which is exactly what I wanted. I did not ask if he would remove the drywall if need be, but I assume he would if it were not already gone. Very straightforward, in and out in a short period of time.

The day after they repaired my wall in 2015 it poured for several days and we didn't see a drop of water in the basement. It hasn't rained (and isn't likely too since it's December) but I am confident that the work was done well.

I still get water and seepage in my basement, even with a written guarantee and two years of communication. Based on other negative reviews, I will likely be blamed for the issues.

The work itself went just fine. All of the contractors could have done that. The problem was, they did not put the sump were they said, they put it were the other 2 bidders said. The spot American Crawlspaces first offered was by the main stack and an outlet. Well, were they ended up putting it was by neither, and part of the other two bids figured the drain piping and outlet into the bid. As you can see from the pics, this is what they left me. What garbage. I won't call them crooks, but I can't think of any better way to describe these guys. I emailed and called to talk about this, and get a revised detailed invoice, nothing, absolutely nothing. Never uses these guys, Never! I am probably out around 800 bucks to fix the problems and because of the lie of money off to use them on the quick. To help them out. I could say more and show more pictures of the crap they left me with, but I hope you get the idea. Now I need to deal with the mess they left me.

We had an excellent experience working with American Crawlspaces. The man who came to our house (several times) by appointment to assess our problem and provide the estimate -- Jim O'Donnell -- was knowledgable, took time to explain his observations and answer all questions from my wife and me, and gave us a reasonable estimate for trenching and drain tiling two complete circumferences (basement and crawlspace, separately) with new sump pumps and batter back ups. In addition, he suggested that we put a cement floor over our dirt/rock crawl space and included that in the estimate. As we collected other bids and learned more about our house and the problem, we talked several more times with Jim (he kindly came back to our house a few more times for face-to-face conversation) to clarify details of his assessment and bid. In the end, we accepted the American Crawlspace bid and scheduled work asap. Their crew came on time as scheduled and completed the work (just as they had outlined) in just a few days. The workmen were prompt, courteous, neat as a pin, and minimized the problem of cement dust. The finished work was very pleasing and we couldn't have asked for better. As a bonus, the company owner -- Keith Jesiolowski -- was also constantly available by phone to answer questions, and took considerable time to answer detail questions my wife and I both raised from time to time.

Excellent! From meeting Jim to get an estimate, to scheduling with Gina, and working with Keith and the crew - it was so smooth, quick, and professional. My crawlspace is nearly 1,000 square feet and was nothing but dirt before American Crawlspace took care of it. I am so happy with the results. Not a drop of water, and we've had a rainy summer. About a month after the sump pump and cement were done, Terry did the insulation. I feel like I have a very secure and weatherproof crawlspace now. Keith answered all my questions, returned all my phone calls promptly, and made sure I was comfortable with the work. Weatherproofing is not inexpensive work, so I was glad to be working with a company I trusted.

A year later I have seepage through cracks in the basement and damp spots near the walls in some spots. I have called repeatedly and have had the worst experience trying to get this issue resolved. Company owner has very bad customer service skills as well as Keith. They just don't seem to know what to do. they sent some workers to document the condition of my basement, but they have made no steps toward fixing this issue. I am getting very vague answers, no solutions, the run around. this has been going for about 3 weeks since I called them to report the issue. They say there is a lifetime guarantee on this service, but it doesn't appear that they want to fix this issue. I think you could find people to do this service at a cheaper rate. Certainly their customer service is not worth the price of $7,000.00.

When you just recently contacted us, I pulled my Crew Chief off the job he was working on, so we could address your concerns immediately. He checked and determined the system we had installed over a year ago was working properly. He also noted that your house, being over 120 years old, had numerous cracks in the basement floor. I reached out to you 3 times, trying to discuss and resolve the situation. However, in all honesty, it is impossible to accomplish anything when being hung up on. It leaves me with a dismayed feeling when one of our customers isn't 100% satisfied with us, as a company. Respectfully, Keith"

Submitted a RFQ on their website. Keith called me a couple of hours later. Explained the situation, he asked to send a couple of pictures of the house and basement and that he would give me a call either later that evening or first thing the next morning. Emailed him the pictures later that day. 2 days went by without a call or reply. Emailed him again. And still no reply or call back another week later. Don't know why these guys are rated so high, couldn't even complete the first step of customer service. I'm sure they will comment below with some excuse as to why they didn't respond.

Friendly customer service and great workmanship! I called this company literally reading what I needed done from a punch list on a home I just sold. Keith took the time to explain everything to me and ensure that he will fit the work into the schedule so that I could have everything done and not delay the closing. By the time I got off the phone I was happy, confident and had stopped pulling the hair out of my head. :-) Everything went well when the guys went to the house which I might add was three different times for this project. All of the guys were friendly and courteous .... something that you don't always find nowadays. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for foundation repairs or any basement work. I wouldn't call anywhere else.

Note that the reason for this project was our need to build out and have a finished basement. Â Unfortunately our concrete was all cracked all over. Â There were high and low spots and a finsihed floor was going to be next to impossible. Â We have had two major floods in the past couple of years so building a platform floor would have gone to waste.
Spoke with Kieth in main office throughout the process and he was very accommodating and was able to answer all our questions throughout the process.  Had Felipe as our crew chief and he was exceptional as well.  Came in and walked/talked us through process every step of the way.  From the very first day he spoke with me every morning to give me the days schedule and let us know what they would do and what issues he had anticipated. They broke up concrete, dug out some dirt from foundation to feel out floor, added new gravel layer, added drainage tubes around perimeter, new sump pump and pit, and repoured concrete in basement and all was done exactly how they said it would.  My house is still standing so I am very happy :D
Had several estimates and all were relatively close in price for this large project. Â I would definitely call them again for other house projects moving forward. Â All in all took 5 total days for this job and I couldn't be happier. Â We have some plans to finish out the basement and we can look forward to rest of project knowing the foundation was done properly and we can now build upon. Â Very excited.

We recently purchased a home and were doing some renovations to the basement. We called to have two small cracks repaired. American Crawlspaces uses an injection method, which we have found in the past to be superior to fixing seepage in our prior home. They do offer a lifetime warranty for work, but since the basement was finished and had metal studs and a gas line affixed to the foundation wall, they couldn't offer the warranty due to those intrusions. But, they did offer a return trip if there was future seepage, which is fine by me as the repair is solid.

We had a great experience with American Crawlspace. Scott came out and gave a very detailed estimate and even provided various options for us to consider based on the amount of work we wanted done and price point. He showed us exactly what we should do in the crawl and did not try to scare us into something the crawl didn't necessarily need. We were so happy to hear that Scott was our crew chief for the job. They were prompt and worked very efficiently. Since we do not live at the property, Scott sent us many pictures of the completed work. Great service! They showed up on time, worked very fast and left no mess behind. The guy that cam was very nice and explained what he was going to be doing, about how long it would take and what we needed to do to after he left (keep the window open for an hour after he was gone to help with ventilation. Would absolutely use American Crawlspaces again and would highly recommend them.

We were extremely pleased with our decision to use American Crawlspaces and Basements to waterproof our basement. The crew worked professionally and quickly. The estimate was fair and it was easy to communicate in scheduling the work, payments, questions, etc. On the day of the project, the crew arrived on time and completed the job exactly as scheduled. A dumpster was coordinated by the company and the delivery/pick up went very smoothly. The debris was cleaned at the end of the day and the work was done very well!! A few days after, a smaller crew came to finish up and set the washer/dryer back in place after the concrete was dry. The warranty helps us to feel even more confident that American Crawlspaces takes great pride and care in the work they do. We are very pleased that we made the decision to waterproof our space with this company and would recommend them to anyone!

The job was excellent! I have a below grade family room that I knew had a crack in the west wall given moisture I'd found on the floor from previous week's downpour. Steve (one of the owners ) and Brett (technician) reviewed the wall with me from the outside as well as inside. Steve suggested only removing a 5' section of drywall rather than a larger section as he was confident where the leak was. After baseboard & the drywall section removal, the crack was exposed. Brett drilled the holes, injected the polyurethane foan and sealed after dry. Steve inspected the crawlspace while the west wall repair was in progress and found 2 older leaks that looked like had been leaking recently. He showed both to me and i made the decision to have them also repaired while the team was there. In addition, Steve found the sump pump for groundwater drainage wasn't working, which I was unaware of . He replace thd the pump with a new one he was able to get from the shop that afternoon.

I'd used American Crawlspaces previously for a different repair, so I was convinced of their workmanship. I intend to have them back out this Spring to install a french drain along the side of the house to remedy a water drainage aissue to move the water away from the foundation and allow drainage out further in the backyard. This should avoid problems in the future and make the entry to the backyard more liveable in rainy season.
