Freddy was terrific. I do not live at the property and he continued you call me each step of the way. The turnaround time was terrific (next day). Mike who scheduled and Chris who followed up were great guys to talk to; it's nice to see such responsiveness these days. I will definitely refer this company and call them again...

The installer, Jose, was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I asked for a spring and door channel tune-up after he was onsite. It was about $130 extra. He did a great job. It's so nice to have a door that is almost silent when it opens now! He also gave recommendations for the care of my door as it had rusted a bit over the years. I can do that.

First of all, Will is a very friendly guy and went out of his way to make this deal happen. He matched another vendor's price and everything about the transaction was great. Jose, his technician, was 5 minutes early and got the job done quickly and efficiently. He had everything set up, programmed, and ready to go without any issues. I would highly recommend them and will use them again whenever I have the need. Thanks, WIll!

Everthing when great from the start to the finish. I initially spoke with Willie at West Suburban Garage Doors. His customer service was great! He explained the pricing and sent someone out to give me an estimate right away. Joe came out and did a great job installing my garage opener and updating some of my outdated parts on my old opener. He was very informative on showing me how to maintain my opener as well as how to operate it.

Price quote was a bit higher than others but a tech was able to come out same day (that night around 7pm). One of my springs had snapped that morning. Tech was able to replace both springs and re-balance the door but then we discovered the door wouldn't close. After further diagnosis, the tech noticed that the sprocket (gear that turns the chain) on the opener was now off-center because I had tried to open the door after the spring was broken (PRO TIP : don't do that if your springs break). Turns out that little sprocket can't support a 400# door on its own. Tech came out the next night in the pouring down rain to install a new opener with rail/chain/laser eyes/wall button, etc. My broken unit was made in 2003 so it was time to replace anyway. All in all, for both jobs, tech was there for about 2 hours total and was very communicative about his ETA while commuting to me. Didn't mind me asking questions and being a nosy homeowner either.

One of the openers had died over the weekend, and the other was on life support.  I didn't call West Suburban Garage Doors until about 10 AM, but an installer was able to come that afternoon.  The installer arrived later than originally promised, but the company called to let me know.  This was one of our sub-zero days, so they were quite busy with broken components.  Ray installed both openers in about two and a half hours.  He had me look at and approve a non-routine part of the work.  The new openers and remotes are working in this frigid weather, and we are quite appreciative that we could get same-day service.

West Suburban Garage Doors was able to provide service the same day I called and showed up at exactly the time they stated.  The office personnel and the person who installed the new garage door opener were friendly and professional.  The only downside was that the outside floodlight which would come on automatically with the old garage door opener now does not work.  In fairness, I did not mention this light to him until after the installation was complete and we mutually decided not to pursue the issue at that time due to time constraints.  I would definitely use them again.

Tony came out and he was the bomb. He let me stand and watch him and walked me though every single thing that he did. I was amazed he was able to explain what he was doing, and be able to and work at the same time. He was outstanding. He got the job done in less than an hour and that included him having to leave because he needed to go out a an new clicker, and he also installed it and programmed it.

The initial response from West Suburban Garage Doors was immediate after contacting them to get an estimate for a new garage door.  On 9/11/13, Karl came by my home to give my husband & I an estimate on the work.  We were going to wait for about a week to make a decision about which company we wanted to do the work.  Within three days from the estimate, the owner, Will contacted me about doing the work.  He wanted to make sure that he could gain our business.  He not only assured us that he would beat other competitor's pricing but, he also assured me that the quality of the work would be excellent (he did offer the BEST price).
After discussing all avenues with my husband, we decided to go with West Suburban Garage Doors to do the work.  I contacted Will the next day to let him know that we were happy to give him our business.  I wanted to schedule for an installation as soon as possible.  He asked me when did I want the work to be done.  I told him we would like to have the install done on 9/19/13.  He told me that he would need to check the calendar to make sure he had someone available but that he would get back to me.  The only down side about the process was that it took him two days before he contacted me again to let me know.   It was somewhat stressful for me to not know what was going to happen or whether the job would get done by 9/19/13.  I was willing to push back the install date if needed.  However, I think that Will was so intent on pleasing us that he wanted it done by the date I initially requested.
The day of the install (9/19/13), Will came to my place of employment at my request, to deliver the work permit.  I signed the contract & he informed me that the installer would be at my home at 3:30pm (the time we both agreed on).  Later that day, at 3:45pm, nobody had shown up yet.  I called Will to find out when the installer would be at my home.  He called the installer & then called me back to let me know that he was sending an extra installer to get to my home around 4pm.
Karl arrived to my home shortly after 4pm.  The other installer was on his way from a job that ran over in Naperville, IL.  I was very happy that he sent two installers to expedite the garage door installation.  Tony, the second installer arrived around 4:30pm.  Both Karl & Tony got to work right away.  They were pleasant, professional & very experienced.  The door installation took approximately three & a half hours to complete.  My husband & I were very satisfied with the end result.  We had a new garage door installed complete with a first time automatic door opener, keypad & two remotes.
What a job!
Thanks to all the guys!
Marjorie

My garage door broke late in the afternoon. The service we'd used in the past for repairs was unreachable and an emergency call to their service went unanswered. I needed help the same night. I went to Angie's and began searching the List. I called West Suburban because they had good reviews and they are located here in my own village. The owner answered his phone on the first call. He called his technician, Karl, who promptly called me back. Although he was an hour away on another call, and although he still had another call to make after that, Karl promised that he would still come by to fix my garage door that evening when he was done with his previous commitments.. Karl came on schedule, was very personable and professional. He fixed my garage door as promised and I was very happy about my contact with Suburban. The repair was to fix a problem I had inadvertently caused myself when the top rail of my SUV had gotten caught in the manual safety rope that hangs from the motor, so I wasn't thrilled that I was out of pocket for the expense. But their price was fair, and they responded as promised and fixed the problem that same night. Apart from feeling silly that I was the one who caused the damage in the first place, I was quite pleased with how things ended up that night!

This was the 4th company I attempted to contact after 5 pm for an emergency garage door repair.  When I got home from work my garage stuck in the up position.  I called only companies that I found on Angies List and that offered "emergency" service.  The others either didn't return my call or weren't interested in doing the work.
When I called West Suburban, the gentleman that answered the phone was friendly and appeared genuinely interested in helping me out of my predicament.  Any questions I asked were answered, and if he didn't know the answer, he found out and got back to me.  Because I was pretty sure what the problem was a price was quoted to me over the phone and payment options were discussed.  I was given a time at which to expect the technician.
The technician came at the appointed time, and as the work progressed I became concerned that my bill could be mounting with each passing minute, but I need not have worried about that.  When the work was complete he went over the work with me, explained what went wrong and what he did to correct it, and then presented me with a bill that was exactly what was quoted on the phone.
I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my neighbors.  Great job all around!

The  service was amazing. I called West Suburban Garage Doors about 9:30 am saying the garage door wasn't working. The service person, Karl, was in the area and came by in about 20 minutes. He was able to diagnose the problem  quickly and told me what would need to be done. The mechanics inside the motor were shot and the entire apparatus would need to be replaced. Karl gave me the cost, warranty information, and happened to work it out with his schedule that he could do the work immediately between other jobs. Everything was explained very clearly to me and the price seemed right. The work was done by 11:30, and we are extremely pleased. Karl answered all of my questions and in addition gave me some tips for keeping the springs and door itself tracking properly. All of this on an extremely cold day, in an unheated garage. I couldn't have asked for better service. I highly recommend this company, and specifically, Karl.
