They were perfect. They were nice. They were punctual and did a very good job.

I called House of Heat at 7:30 on a Monday morning about my hot water heater that had broken over the weekend. By 9:00 am they were there installing a new one, and the job was completed before noon. Both the installer and the office were very helpful in guiding me on price: the office dissuaded me from spending $500 more for a more energy-efficient model (explaining that it wouldn't pay for itself), while the installer suggested I do spend $50 more to get a larger heater. Overall, the price was fair and the job was very well done.

Suddenly in this cold spell, my heat has gone wacky. The house got up to 81 degrees and the boiler didn't turn off when I shut off the thermostat.

They seem to know what they are doing. The person I had initially was able to explain what to look for with the pressure, the raditator and what to look for with the boiler. I had a thermo couple installed to prevent the pilot from going out and I only had to pay $100.00 with the Angie's List discount.

I've used them on and off for years for maintenance and seasonal cleanings. The job went very well. They offered a fair price and aimed to satisfy the customer. They were timely in their responses. Their price was comparable to others.

They were on time. They gave me a good sense of what long time work was needed to be done, but they did not pressure me into doing it on the spot. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They are very prompt. They explain what they are doing. We have been working with them for the last three years or so. We've found them reliable.

Excellent service in a hurry. One of my furnaces went out just as the temperature started to get really cold. They came out the same day, called ahead to let me know they were on their way, and when it turned out I was running a little late to meet them the serviceman just said he'd do a quick errand and give me an extra 15 minutes to get back.My furnace was fixed quickly and labor and parts were very reasonable. I'm sure I paid more when my other furnace required the same repair to the ignitor. Will definately use them again. Thank you!

woke up hot water boiler wasn't working. called company that performs regular maintenance on unit. they took several hours to get back to me and finally said i needed a new boiler and that they wouldn't fix mine. called house of heat, general manager asked to take over call, then proceeded to get owner of house of heat to call me. they dispatched someone to the house within an hour. the technician worked for few hours completely cleaning out boiler. it has never worked better and it is now a year later. house of heat may not be the cheapest option out there, but they are HONEST and hard working. you get what you pay for and then some with house of heat.

They are very responsive, reliable, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them.

We use House of Heat for ur AC and heater at the change of seasons each year. We had tried others service providers in the past and wer unhappy, when our neighbor recommended them. Recently, we were out of town with my mother staying at the house when my brother inlaw stopped by and began changingthe temperature in the house. It wasn't responding fast enough and he fiddled with hte thermostat and then headed to the basement to"fix it." We got a rather frantic call from my mother several hours later that it was getting cold and the heat would n't turn on. It was already late in Oak Park, but we told her to call House of heat to check it out and asked to also have them winterize the AC and check out the heater for the season. She left them a message but was quite nervous about handling this herself as it is not something she really understands. They returned the call very early the next morning, and prioritized sending some one out. It turned out to be lose wires and so was easily explained to my mother and quickly repaired. He call later that day was happy - she was pleased that she could handle it and that they were so polite. We in turn were relieved that things were done so quickly and that they made her feel at ease. Having problems with your heat when you are out of town can be a nightmare. We are pleased that Houseof Heat is so reliable.

During the heat of the summer, our central air unit died. House of Heat came out on an emergency call on a Sunday to inspect our central air unit. They unfortunately shared the bad news that our central air was dead! I later called the owner Roger and he thoroughly explained my options, as far as getting a new central air unit for our condo unit. Ultimately, I checked around and talked to my cousin, who is a heating/cooling technician and he felt that their price was fair & diagnosis was correct. Once agreeing upon a Carrier 24ABR-324 (2 ton;13SEER), Roger scheduled the work. HIs guys were out a few days later and had the unit installed in a 1/2 day. Great job and no problems since the unit was installed last year!

marty was fair, puntual & very professional. the only thing to know is they do not take credit cards..which is fine, but would be something to think about if it was a huge expensive job & you didnt have cash on hand.

It was a standard maintenance. They were wonderful. They are normally very responsive in case of emergencies. They came out the very next day when I called them once for an emergency. They were very quick. I will continue to use them in the future.

I had called another company. After an hour they didn't call me back and it was getting colder in my house. I called House of Heat as an alternative. Marty called back within 15 minutes. He was personable, quoted me the Sunday/holiday price and told me he had another job before me and would be here in about three hours. I got a call back in 20 minutes. His other job had cancelled and he would be here in about 10 minutes. He arrived within minutes. Looked over the problem and fixed it. Marty was prompt, accurate, didn't waste time. I am now sitting in my warm house. The other company finally called back 3.5 hours after my original call (I had already called them back a third time to let them know they didn't need to come). House of Heat and hopefully Marty will be the first company I call in the future. I just want a company who treats me fairly - House of Heat fits the bill

The service person, Marty, arrived at exactly the time scheduled. He was very friendly and pleasant, and remembered to wear shoe covers when walking through the house. He performed the checkup on our furnace and humidifier, and since both are very old, gave some advice on what we can do to prolong their life, what to do if there's a failure after hours, and when we should consider replacing the system. Very good experience overall.

House of Heat has been servicing our boiler since we moved into our house two and a half years ago. They have always been prompt, courteous, and explain their maintenance work and repairs (this is the first time we've had radiator heat). We anticipate having to replace our boiler in a few years, as they've warned us, and will probably use them for the installation.

Our AC wasn't cooling the house very well, so I called HoH this morning fully expecting to have to wait at least a couple of days, since we're in the midst of a real heat wave. I was stunned to hear the receptionist say "I can have someone out there between 1 and 2." I actually said, "Today?" The repairman showed up at 1:15 and diagnosed the problem very quickly and fixed it rather quickly too. He was finished in less than an hour, and when I asked, he also made some recommendations for future maintenance on our furnace and thermostat. He did a great job, and was very friendly yet professional. And my house is cool again!

A service man was able to come out within 3 hours of my call, and had the a/c up and running again within 45 min. The thermometer in the house was 85 and climbing at the time so, needless to say, he was our hero!

It was a very positive experience. He was on time, very pleasant and professional.
