As I stated, during our initial phone conversation, I felt a spirit of trust and integrity. The technician who came out, a young man named Melvin was polite and courteous. After looking at my furnace, he was able to assess the problem and had it working properly before he left. In order to examine the problem with the stove/oven, he had to pull it out from the wall, which was not easy. He took extra precautions not to scratch my wood floors. After a thorough inspection, he was able to determine that a Control/Sensor needed to be replaced. He would have to order the part and come back to install it. He gave me an estimate of the cost to replace the part, but the final cost was actually less than what he'd quoted. My experience with Bill's Appliance & Air was extremely positive. I found them to be friendly, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced for the work performed. I would definitely use them again.

We discovered that our refrigerator was not operating, when I opened the freezer door one morning and found everything melting. I called Bill's at 8 AM, and by 9 AM, a technician was at our door. He diagnosed the problem (a heating coil had gone bad), arranged to go and get the part needed (he did not have it in stock), and returned the same afternoon to install the part. Everything is working perfectly, and the price was very reasonable for the part and labor. I would highly recommend Bill's and plan to use them for any future appliance repairs.

I was given an arrival time range, and very happy when the serviceman arrived at the earliest time. He checked my ovens, found the problem and gave me an estimated repair cost. The repairs to my two ovens were completed.

I was very pleased, since I can now do laundry and did not have to spend a ridiculous amount on new appliances.

We had Bill out before for service on our refrigerator. We called him again after we rented the house. He came promptly to do the initial inspection of the fridge, said he needed a part and would be in contact to install. Several weeks later we heard from our renter that he never returned or called. We called and left messages and did not recieve any calls back until I mentioned Angie's list. Then, he called to apologize and said he had been having difficulty getting the part. By then, I had already contacted another provider off Angie's list. This guy had the part on his truck and it was taken care of that day.

He did a great job. I was comfortable with him in my home. He was great with my kids.

Woke up to a fridge not working. Called Bill's at about 8:00AM. Got a call back within 15 minutes. Someone was at my house about 9:00 AM. Fridge was working at 10:30 AM. You can't ask for much more than that. Awesome service.

Bill doesn't sell appliances, but repairs them. He is unbiased and we trust him. We've had Bill over several times for various appliance repair jobs over the past year and have been very pleased. A year ago, our home in Westchester flooded. He gave an accurate estimate that helped with my insurance claim. We've had him fix our old oven, which he did quickly and for a fair price. He troubleshooted a wall heater/AC unit in our garage that got damaged by a winter storm and found spare parts for it. He diagnosed our central A/C and referred us to a quality company to replace it. Bill has been honest and unbiased with us. He charges fairly and honestly. We feel comforted knowing we've got someone nearby who can be on call when we need him again.

I called Bill and he got back to me quickly. A repairman came out within the week. They did not have the correct part and had to order it, but he was able to come back the next day to finish the job. It cost a little more than I thought (or hoped) it would, but they had good communication, professional attitude, were prompt, pleasant and did a good job.

I had someone else check the HWH on Monday, he told me it was "shot" because of water damage and he could replace it for $800. I am so happy I waited for Bill! He took the pilot light out and determined that there was a clog in the gas line. He disassembled it, cleared the line, put it back together and lit the pilot light all in a matter of 20 minutes. I was SO pleased, he saved me a lot of money right there. Next was the AC. He figured out that it was a faulty thermostat (i had no idea because it worked for the furnace) and showed me how i could save a bunch of money by installing it myself. This guy is good, and honest. i was ready to buy a new HWH. I will be using him on ALL future repairs. THANKS BILL!!

He made several trips for us. He was a great guy to deal with. I would recommend using him. He is very personable and pleasant.

We've used Bill many times in the past for dishwashers and refrigerators and have found him to be knowledgeable and honest. I called Bill in the afternoon and described the fact that our built-in microwave was completely dead. He scheduled a one-hour window the next day. He called near the end of the time window to say he was running a bit late, but still managed to make it within that time. He walked into our kitchen, unscrewed the control panel, yanked the fuse and tested it. He announced that it was blown, and then reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a replacement. It was 5 minutes from start to finish. I then asked Bill to have a look at a backup sump pump that I had noticed had a wire that wasn't securely attached in a cable connector. Although he didn't recognise the connector so wasn't able to replace it, he was able to secure the wire. Bill doesn't normally service sump pumps -- he's not a plumber.

They were great. Very prompt, fit me in quickly, diagnosed and took care of the problem swiftly. Showed my husband what to do if it happens next time. Overall, I was very pleased.

It went very well. They were punctual and very quick in a desperate situation.

The repairman was punctual, professional and honest. He gave me the choice to spend the money or not. He gave me his professional opinion that the refrigerator was not worth the repair instead of telling me I needed the part to make the money. I will definately call him again, if needed, and refer him to my clients as I am a real estate broker and am asked for referrals quite often.

The most recent time, they repaired my ice maker, dishwasher, and cleaned out my dryer vent. They did the work quickly, explained what repairs were needed, and how I could prevent break downs in the future. The final price was under $200. Outstanding.

Second time using Bill, called him at 7:30am, received a call back at 8:30am, scheduled for 1-2pm same day, arrived at 1:15pm, was finished in 20 minutes. He's always punctual, tidy, quick and thorough with his repairs. Always impressed.

second time i used this service. this time my old gas wall oven did not light. He changed the igniter and it worked fine. He was very fast. only disappointed was that last time he had some gaskets and replaced my old ones and this time he had none to replace the broken one and just told me to find on in an appliance store.

He was here within an hour the last time. He is absolutely reliable and will handle any emergency.

Originally setup appt online with Sears (former employer) and they were unable to find my order in the system despite the reservation and confirmation #s I was given? Anyway I called Bill because our dirty laundry had piled up enough to make this an emergency situation. Bill came out almost immediately and was $10 less than Sears' price just for a house call (cost more for them to do the work too). I'll be making another posting for Sears that isn't as flattering

The heater stopped running during a blizzard. We suspected the pilot may have blown out but didn't know how to get to it and, since it's an old heater, didn't want to risk further damage by poking around ourselves. We called after 5pm the day of the blizzard and left a message on their answering machine, not expecting a call back before the following day at the earliest. However they called back within and hour and said that they would try to come the following day, after they serviced the homes that were completely without heat. They said there was a chance that they might not make it until the day after, but that they would call the following morning to let us know either way. We appreciated their honesty and completely understood their priorities. We fully expected it to take longer than anticipated, due to the extreme weather. Their follow-through was excellent. They did call the next morning and let us know they could come that day, and that they'd call in another hour or so to give us a firmer ETA. As promised they called back to let us know someone would be arriving in the next 90 minutes, and they gave us the name of the repairman who would be arriving. About an hour later the repairman called to say he was on his way but it was taking a little longer than expected due to road conditions on a lot of the side streets. (The city was not yet caught up with the blizzard). He arrived within a half hour and was as polite as can be. He was able to repair the heater in about 40 minutes and left the area as clean as he found it. When you take a day off work to wait for a call or repairman to show up, you really appreciate being dealt with honestly and being kept informed of the arrival time. We're extremely pleased with their quick response, great communication and professionalism.

Bill's Appliance & Air was very honest and we chose not to get the repair done because it was too costly. We replaced the appliance instead.

He had to remove the entire drum assembly to get to the interior (not exactly an easy task.) Found a problem with the flame sensor, which had a staked-on terminal which had come loose. Thankfully, he had the part on the truck. Replaced it;dryer works fine, and I get a gold star from the mother in-law! Tech was very professional. Would use them again without hesitation.
