Empire Today - Philadelphia

I have been in contact a few times with Empire about the problem which they were very willing to help but my problem was way beyond after job was done... sales person did not explain procedures of installation and it was herendous!!! I was about in tears as they had to "destroy" my home... from the entry door through out!!! They sawed my floor inside my home for 4 hours!!!!! I said inside my home with a circular saw!!!!!! No covering of anything !!!!! They arrived at 10:05 am and finished at 10:25 PM !!!!! There were 4 workers who were so very nice but they were doing their job.... and this was how you put a new kitchen floor down!!!!! If I only knew now what was going to happen!!!! I really feel for what I have been though I am entitled for a sum of refund due to the situation that occurred... can you contact them as I feel this whole thing was an experience I would definitely make others aware off..... thank you for your time... oh I have a "bubble " in the very middle of my kitchen floor!!!! Oh well !!!! Not good

Empire today was great - they didn't shy away from a small job but went through with it all the way - I really appreciated that because many companies do not serve if the job is small - Empire was really good in that way - there work flow is very smooth and overall experience was pretty good. Shout out to Dave for being a very patient and kind sales Rep.

Lost a star because of the salesman but the gentlemen that came to install the carpet were very professional and thorough.

I have a sick elderly family member living with me. I needed the stair case carpeted to prevent slip and fall. I had empire come do their estimate. I was upfront about speed being my chief concern. They assured me today was doable. So I put all my eggs in one basket. They called today to tell me that due to larger jobs they had to reschedule my job. Well empire. My Job was a big job to us. I have to start my search over with local contractors. Just know that you can't count on this company. They over charge you and then decide that your home isn't as important as others. Empire, you lost a customer for life. Further you lost all the customers I'll share this story with. Thanks.

The installers were over an hour late and had an incorrect balance due on the paperwork. They asked us for water, which we of course gave, but that seemed unprofessional. They left carpet scraps and tack strip in our driveway. Our sales guy was great though.

A lil mix up with my order but it got strengthened out in and all is well. The installer did a great job. Really nice guys.

The young man I spoke to at the Texas Office was very Customer-Service Friendly and without a doubt he is the reason that I con't with the order, which I had originally cancelled. The installers, overall, did a good job with the installation, but there were a couple of concerns I discovered after they left, which is why I couldn't give them a 5 star rating.

THE INSTALLERS DID A FANTASTIC JOB

The flooring professionals they sent out were tireless. They worked non-stop. The job was not completed in record time but it was completed with laser accuracy.

The salesman was inexperienced They didn't have enough carpet to complete the installation as planned

The installers explained everything they were doing, had me inspect the work and cleaned up very well

Our customer rep was very pleasant and offered constructive suggestions while explaining the installation process.

EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH WENT VERY SMOOTH SALESMAN AND THE CONTRACTORS CARRIED THEMSELVES WITH THE UTMOST PROFESSIONALISM. VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING!!

Sales man quoted a price when they came to install they wanted another $900.00 Because the saleman did not add the the underlay.

I would like others to know that they do not know what they are doing.

Sales was find. Installation has not been started. The installers came 5 hours late and found asbestos tiles under the old vinyl. We then contracted with a co and had the asbestos removed. When that was completed a area about 2 feet by 3 feet was uncovered which was about 1/2 inch above the rest of the floor. I spoke to the salesman and he quoted me $125 to level the area. The installers were supposed to be arriving between 1 and 3 today. The installer called and said he would be here around 5:30. He did not seem to understand about the additional work required.

Unable to ask installers questions about installation due to language barrier; appointment delayed twice. Installers didn't come until several hours after original appointment, which wouldn't have been known by me unless I called. I had to call twice to find out when they were coming.

Very happy with the floor.
