Had an excellent experience with CabinetPRO Inc. in Northbrook, IL. They just finished re-facing my kitchen cabinets and they look awesome. I choose the Rustic Cherry for my Galley Kitchen. I started by visiting the showroom and Ana Claire was very helpful throughout the process. I want to especially thank Andy, the carpenter; I really appreciated his professionalism and eye for detail. Each night the work area was picked up and cleaned, so you could prepare your meal without anything in the way. He also taped the hardware to the cabinets to allow me to pick from the different height positions. The finished product turned out awesome.

The carpenter was clean and the cabinets looked great in the end. The main problem we had is that we always had to initiate a call to get an update on the estimated time and there was always an excuse but not a definite answer. This job took much longer than expected to start and didn't get done before Christmas as expected, started over 11 weeks after contract signing and finished after 18 weeks. Christmas was a deadline they said they could meet at the time of signing since we planned to have a number of guests staying with us then. The continual delays on estimate dates had more of an impact since we had two other kitchen jobs that had to be rescheduled twice and didn't get done by Christmas as well as a result. Additionally during the job, it was determined they had the wrong color side-panel which meant 5 1/2 days of open cabinets left sanded but bare and their contents still sitting around the rest of the house. Finally after the cabinets were put in, they again determined four cabinet doors needed to be remade due to incorrect measurements and an error in the installing. If you go with this company, just plan to follow up often to keep informed on the estimated work date.
Response from CabinetPro, Inc

"Thank you for providing feedback. The main cause of your project delay was highly unusual and very sad for all of us here as we lost one of our team members. Additionally, any time there is an issue with an order we always do everything possible to make it right as quickly as we can. We thank you so very much for your patience and understanding - kitchen remodeling is so very stressful and can see where you are coming from with your feedback. We hope you enjoy your beautiful kitchen. If you should need anything in the future, we are happy to help! Sincerely, The CabinetPRO, Inc. Team"

CabinetPro and the company's subcontractors, led by Laura, did great work efficiently and on time. Their policy is to wait until all materials for the job are in their warehouse before scheduling the work. This means scheduling each step with the various workers flowed smoothly, with little or no downtime. Laura and all the workers were very professional, polite and neat, cleaning up any mess along the way. Each was also responsive to any of our suggestions, questions or concerns. This was not an inexpensive project, but worth it for the result. We love our new kitchen.

My experience with CabinetPro was pretty seamless. I worked with Anaclaire as my designer, and while I had an idea of what I wanted in my head, she had wonderful ideas that I pretty much implemented across the board. My previous kitchen was nice, but the cabinets did not match and it was very dark. The process was easy, in my opinion. The carpenter came and made some adjustments (I replaced a few cabinets) while he took measurements. Jose did the bulk of the work on the refacing; he came early in the morning and worked hard all day. All of the individual contractors came to help with the countertops, backsplash and plumbing within a few weeks of the kitchen start. I was really without my kitchen for only 2 weeks. I was prepared for a much longer process and in full transparency, I do have a small kitchen. I am in love with my kitchen. It is bright and airy, and looks amazing. I found the cost to be reasonable. I would highly recommend CabinetPro.

Considering the amount of cabinets needing refaced, it went very well. Worst part was emptying all cabinets and then reorganizing the project was done. Our kitchen is very open, a loft-like layout and we were concerned about dust being everywhere in the unit. So they sealed it off using plastic sheeting and the dust was minimal. The installers were very prompt and cleaned up after the project was completed. The Sales Rep, Laura, was professional, friendly and willing to listen to our ideas. Called after completion with a few problems and they were there quickly to make corrections.

CabinetPro was great! We hired them to remodel two bathrooms that needed to be completely gutted. The excellent service started with our designer, Laura, who listened to all of our ideas, then added some welcome suggestions of her own to come up with a plan for each bathroom that was exactly what we wanted. The guys who came to do the work at our house, Tom and Jeff, were outstanding as well - polite, friendly and professional. All of the work done was top quality, particularly the tile work. Great communication by everyone involved in the project so we always knew what to expect and any concerns we had along the way were dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. CabinetPro was perhaps not the lowest cost option, but a great value for the money. We wholeheartedly recommend the CabinetPro team, and we will definitely hire them again for our next remodeling project.

Overall, just OK - they got the job done but it was 10 weeks before it was complete (lots of down time waiting for next step). The guys were not what you would call craftsmen, not a lot of attention to the details in finishing. (For $17,500 I thought I would get decent quality work.) The walls were to be 'paint ready' - they were not. I had to pay a painter to not only paint but to do a lot of prep before painting. Floor tile needed to be re-grouted 3 times to get it right. The tile caulking and sealing was done weeks after when evidence that it was needed appeared - bottom row of white tub surround tile was getting gray looking because the tile from behind was soaked. The final measurement for quartz counter top wasn't done correctly so it's not flush to the wall. Under mounted sinks that were installed in the double vanity are tiny; proportionally TOO small for the size of the counter top. A defective (out of round, sharp edge of the metal sticking out) shower arm was put in causing the new shower head to be ruined and therefore I had to replace it. So, it got done, but I wouldn't use this company for my next project or recommend them to anyone.

The work they did was decent, the project took longer than expected and the gentlemen completing the work complained alot about his job to us and on the phone. When the job was finished it was no surprise, we had some issues with it. Namely gaps between counter tops and wall and detail on the finish and seams on the edges of the cabinets. It took several calls and to get someone to address the concerns and finally the owner came out to look and took care of the counters. For the cabinet edges they use a stain pencil to cover the gaps and top and underside of the cabinets we had to hire someone else to paint the darker wood color. I would have thought for the price that there would have been a better solution for the edges and they would have done something to make all visible parts of the cabinets match. In the end they did come out and fix the items that we asked to be done. If I had it to do over I would not have refaced.

CabinetPRO came to our house to reface our old, worn out cabinets. We were very impressed with their work from the first consultation to the final product. When they first discussed the project with us they made valuable suggestions while keeping the focus on what we wanted. The workmanship and the final result exceeded our expectations. We get compliments on our renewed cabinets whenever we have people over. We appreciate CabinetPRO's fine work and highly recommend them.

Work went well. They were careful to preserve the mirrors and glass shelving surrounding the cabinets. They did return promptly for an adjustment. Communication was excellent.

this was some time ago. I would not use Cabinet pro again, the pricing is too high, but for those with budget free concerns, the offerings are nice. there was a problem with the vanity in what was ordered vs what was delivered and due to the expense, I asked the installer to call his management to see about a discount and they reduced it by some, due to wrong design.

Every aspect of the job was outstanding -- from the initial design work to the final punch list. The people at CabinetPro were all extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. The carpenters and installers were punctual, efficient, and neat, and they paid attention to the smallest details. Laura guided us through the design process, showing us all of the alternatives, including some ways to save money without sacrificing quality. The materials arrived weeks sooner than we expected, and the total work time was only seven working days. As always, there were some minor adjustments after the job was finished, and they came back twice to make sure everything was right. We can't say enough good things.

The estimate was free. You always think something is going to be a little more expensive than what it is. There is a lot of work, cut and paste. There is a lot of work involved and it is in a small area. So far, I have been very pleased.

The person scheduled an estimate for Friday morning but did not show up. When I called they said that they had called the day before to confirm but did not reach me. Rather than try to call again, they just didn't show up. Scheduling an estimate during a workday is difficult enough let alone for a company to treat its potential customers with such disregard. Very unprofessional. I had at least 5 other contractors take the time to make sure they reached me or at least showed up for their scheduled appointment. I would hire any one of them over this company.
Response from CabinetPro, Inc

"We left a message at what you said was your best contact number to confirm 24 hours beforehand. We specified that if we didn't get confirmation no one would be sent out. Takes a lot of time, energy, & expense on our end to provide free estimates. You were offered an appointment later that day or to reschedule; which you declined. This is an unfortunate review."

The job turned out even better than we hoped. Everything is perfect. We have received so many wonderful comments about our "new" cabinets from friends and family. Anaclaire was very helpful with the design of the cabinetry and handles. Jeff designed custom pantry doors that we just love. We have only good things to say about the company. We will be starting another project with them soon.

Not well. I feel that professional people respond to potential customers even if they don't have an interest in the project.
