I am sorry to say that I wouldn't trust them or their warranty. 11 months ago my furnace stopped working and an ignitor was replaced. He recommended a tune up which added about $120 to the price. I proceeded with this preventitive maintenance as well. Less than one year after this repair the same thing happened. I called to have them evaluate the problem as it was still under their warranty. Paul was the tech and after 1.5 hours he discovered a faulty pc board. He replaced the ignitor and told me the furnace would work for 1-2 more days and would then assuredly breakdown again. At this point he stated that there was an $89 fee to come out after hours as well as a $288 fee for the diagnostics. He would wave this if I would have the PC board changed at a price of $577. I called Bart at the office and told him the furnace is now functioning after the ignitor was changed and asked if this was covered under the warranty. He said that he would call the tech and get back to me in an hour. He didn't call back so I called back after three days. He called back and initially was talking about another customers order as well as stating that he thought he called back. I told him that he didn't which he stated that I probably didn't answer. I told him that I have caller ID and all my calls are recorded whether I answer or not and that he did not call. At this point I had received a second opinion who found nothing wrong and didn't recommend replacing the PC board. I told this to Bart who explained that these PC boards can malfunction episodically and that is probably what happened and still recommended that the board be replaced. Now at this point it was about 1 week after the repair and the furnace was still functioning despite what the tech had stated. At the end he did take off the diagnostics fee and left me with the $89 charge which I still felt should be included in their 1 yr parts and labor warranty. Myabe he is right and the PC board just happened to malfunction when Paul was evaluating and maybe the PC board was working correctly when my second opinion was evaluating. I don't know about these things, but overall, it was a very disturbing experience and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

They do a good job and they are less expensive than another company we had been using.

They seemed to be reliable. I have used them in the house before. They were pretty professional, clean and prompt.

Abe was okay. He had done my furnace last fall. However, he doesn't seem to get along with dogs. After he went outside, he wouldn't come back in and wanted me to come out when he needed to talk to me. I had also been told by a former worker there to replace my filters every 3 months or I'd damaged my furnace. Abe told me that I shouldn't replace them unless I can get them exactly right. They're okay, but I'd like someone who is dog friendly. I also find their contact price a little high.

We went through a bunch of different possibilities as to what to install. They had an option where a water heater unit works with the boiler but we went chose a regular tanlker water heater. They were great in terms of price, efficiency, rebates and what our needs were. We went with tankler as the rebates from the government and from the utilities were very good so we took advantage of it. They were a little bit late as one of their trucks had broken down but they were very communicative about it. It did not turn out to be a problem at all. They stayed all day to get it done. It?s been performing beautifully ever since. They were a little bit cheaper from their competitors. I knew they do good work as I used them for our heating and air conditioning maintenance.

They came and gave me the best combination of quality and price. They installed everything exactly as we agreed and charged a correct amount. I was generally happy with the installation of the a/c. The problem came when I needed to get a humidifier upgraded for the heater. They were unwilling to give an estimate and the details for the heater.

I have been please with this company for over 30 years. They show up on time. They clean up any messes that they make.

I believe that they are competitive. They were very responsive. I did have some initial problems with the installation, which they corrected immediately.

It was OK. They were very polite and they were very clean about the work. They made sure they cleaned up after themselves and I have no complaints about them.

They are very respectful about being in my home. They are very good at scheduling. They normally call you a few minutes before your appointment to make sure it's still ok.

Andy, I think is a supervisor, he came out a few times and was great. Did a terrific job. They also have a service plan where you pay $100 and change and they come twice and do servicing. I find this to be very good. Summer for A/C, Fall for heating.

I really like American Weathermakers Inc. I also like that they never try to sell me anything. They are always reliable and on time. I have never had any problems with them through the few years I have been using them.

1st two service episodes unsatisfactory. Last service call ok-professional and competent. Management conversations were rude and unsatisfactory, when trying to get refund. Got call to schedule Fall service, and told them terminating service, even though '07 was prepaid.

They're very good at what they do, if there's a problem, they let you know about it quickly. They're always on time, and they're very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend these guys to other people.

When it is time for them to do their regular check up, they will call me to set up an appointment. They always come on time and are very respectful with being clean in my home while working. All the guys that have come are nice, even when I ask a stupid question. They don't make me feel like I should not have asked that question.

They get to you, and they work quickly when you call. They call me before they come, and their pricing is average, just like everybody else s. I have been using them for years because they are good. I am very happy with them, and we have never had problems. I would recommend them.

I like that they offer service contracts for up to three years at a time. Every two or three years I have them come and replace the pilot on the water heater. I was told years ago that this extends the life of your water heater. So far it really has. They give you up to a four hour window for the service call however. They are really good about calling fifteen to twenty minutes before they will be by. I am very happy with the service I receive from them.

They came in Nov '06 to check the furnace and told us that everything was okay. They came back in Feb '07 and told us that we had a cracked heat exchanger in all four chambers. I had the furnace replaced by another company. They sent an installer who was a 10 year service veteran who looked at the old exchanger and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

At the time of the visit, we purchased their "Comfort Club" annual service plan for our furnaces and air conditioners (at $79/unit), which waived their usual $69 service visit fee and saved us 15% on the $230 transformer they replaced. While the technician was here, he also looked at and worked on an issue our inspector had identified with the other furnace - at no additional charge. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the quality of service provided, and we'll definitely be using American Weathermakers/Boslough again in the future.

Overall, it went well. But waiting a week to get 2 parts seemed a bit long for a company as big as American Weathermakers. The workman indicated that the parts were in their warehouse or storage facility. Evidently they were not or if they were they didn't particularly rush to get them. We have been dealing with them for over 20 years and pay a premium with them for premium service. This time we did not get premium service. We called everyday to check on the progress of getting the parts. The only answer we got was that they were ordered. There were neither any reassurances nor indications that this was a priority item to them, or when they would be in.

We have had several different technicians from American Weathermakers. They all have been very professional and knowledgeable. They have arrived within the time window provided. However, the window provided is often quite large. In my opinion, a 4-hour window seems too long of a time for someone who is subscribing to an annual service contract. Also, when calling to make an appointment, it takes a good 3-4 weeks to find a time opening for them to come in. My recommendation for improvement would be to improve the response time, particularly for their ''Comfort Club'' members who sign up for annual service year after year. Once they arrive, the work is fine. There are no complaints as to workmanship.

The repairman was really nice but he was 45 minutes late. They had called at noon and said he'd be there in 1/2 hour, and he was there at 1:15. I think the price was not outrageous, but it did seem high, and the man spent a fair amount of time trying to sell me on their 'comfort club' where you spend $178 annually to get two free inspections ($69 each normally), 15% off materials and preferential scheduling.

The entire team did a great job. Provided thoughtful recommendations on what to do and identified problems with my new home's piping, I wouldn't have seen. They had some problems installing the water heater, and at 5 pm sent for another technician to come help. I was grateful, they just didn't give up for the day. Problem didn't even end up being their issue , my outlet was wired improperly. I bought very high end systems and received great service.

The work and cleanup was very good. But the diagnosis turned out to be wrong. Next rain storm resulted in more water. Chimney needs repair. Not sure if they ''should'' have caught it; the original guy who diagnosed the leak seemed to know his plumbing well. So I'll rate quality at ''B'' since an ''A'' outfit might have thought to check the chimney.

Have used them for service on our old furnace for years. Very professional and they do good work. I'm sure they are not the cheapest but they are dependable and trustworthy. Everyone I dealt with was very courteous.
