Not happy with this type of customer service as they took the total amount up front, therefore they have no incentive to get the job completed
Description of Work: The provider took cash payment with order on April 22, 2014 an install date of May 23, 2014. On Thursday 22, 2014 I went back to Home Depot to find out why I hadn't heard from them. They advised me my doors were in a couple of days and the installer should be calling to set up an appointment to install. On Tuesday May 27th I called the store and they gave me the installers number. Call him and he told me to check back in the late evening as he was busy installing.

Their staff is just exceptional. They did a really good and professional job. They were very competitive with pricing. They were very helpful in selecting the right products and researching the products that weren't products they carried. They special-ordered them for me. They were extremely helpful. I continue to do business with them as I continue to finish up things with my house. I had a relationship over the last two years with them. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: The company I used a lot when we were building my house was Home Depot Inc. I worked with them and I worked with their construction. They gave me bids on different materials and they delivered.

When I went into the store they had the guy come out and measure. The guy who measures also installs (Jeff). He calls at night to set up and appointment and if you don't get the call you have to wait until at least the next night sometime longer. After the measurements the store ordered the door. Came in nine weeks later. When the installer sent to get the door he said it was not right. It would have to be a custom door. I went back in and the door I had to get a custom door that was TWICE as much as the original. I ordered a Jalpwin door. It came in nine weeks later. After repeated attempts I finally got an appointment with Jeff the installer. He came out and took the old door out. He found some additional things which I had to write him a check for right then. After he had it installed he said there was a problem with the door and it would have to be remade. To the stores credit they ordered a new door right away. It finally came in nine weeks later and now I've been waiting for a week with many calls to the store to get the installer to call and set up an appointment. Still haven't heard anything and I've been the store three times to see about getting this done. I still don't know what to do to get this nightmare over.
Description of Work: This was a front door assembly that I purchased from Home Depot. It is still not done yet and I'm on my third door.

It was a bad deal from the start to finish. We had all the furnature and appliances removed along with the floor original carpet. September came and went and no carpet. We were cooking on a camping stove and eating on patio furnature. Finally in October installation day came. The installation was supposed to take 2 days as they were going to give us time to move the furnature out of the master bedroom and then rip out the carpet. The installer said he can have the entire house finished in one day and insisted that it be done. I took the day off and moved the furnature into the 2 finished rooms but did not have the energy to remove the carpet in the master bedroom and closet. I let the installer remove it. The problem with this is I pre paid for the removal and was told I would be refunded the difference. We also paid for floor preperation and supplies. The installer was very good and did a good job but the service at the store very bad. We went to the store to finalize the bill. The customer service person pulled up the bill and the carpet removal was still charged fully. She said she couldn't change it until she checked with the installer. We should get a call in 2-3 days. That sounded fair. A week passed and we went back to the store. Talked to another customer service person. He pulled up the bill and no change. He put a note for representitive to contact us. Nothing we can do but wait. We waited another week passed. We called and left messages. Finally we went back to the store and spoke to yet another different person. Finally a manager came and told us we were not going to get a refund because the installer had to remove the staples that was used to hold the old pad down. At this point my blood was boiling and the $600 refund wasn't worth wasting my time. I told him I will not be shopping at this store again. It will cost them $45k+ as was planning to replace the kitchen and 3 washroom. I told him our bill started out at $3600 and we spent $10000. He dismissed me. Over all the store fail to address the basics of customer care.
Description of Work: In August 2012 we had our living room and kitchen measured for hardwood floors. Home Depot came out and measured the floor and gave us a quote. We ordered the materials had them delivered and removed the existing floor covering. The installer came and we were told the floor was too uneven to lay the hardwood. We went back to the store cancel the order for the hardwood floors and chose to have carpet for the entire house. Meanwhile we had all the furnature and appliances removed so the floor could be installed. We then moved all the furnature out of 2 bedrooms and placed it into the master bedroom . We then removed the existing carpet and pad in the house except the master bedroom and closet. The installer came and installed the carpet .
