Everything Closets

Lonny came to my home and spent a couple of hours measuring, asking questions and then showing samples, talking about quality and suggested use of the different kinds of shelving offered.  Within a week I received the estimate and a detailed copy of his suggested designs with several views of each.  I had a few questions and only a couple of revisions.  As soon as I accepted the job the work was scheduled based on my needs and their availability.  At the same time my walls were being painted and new floors installed.  Coordination between Lonny's crew and the others went smoothly, almost invisibly.  After the job was completed, Lonny followed up with an inspection and corrections and minor revisions were completed within a couple of weeks.  I have no reservations about recommending Everything Closets to others or about calling on them in the future.  The  quality of work and service were exceptional.

Lonny was great.  He was very good to work with as we designed each closet.  He listened to what we needed and worked to get the most out of all of our spaces.

With new construction it was hard to know exactly how we would use the space.  So we had to make a few adjustments to the closets after they were installed.  He was fair about making these changes.  I know he is very busy so the additional changes took some time, but once these were completed we have been very happy.  We will continue to use Lonny for additional work and would highly recommend him. 

Not only was the craftsmanship outstanding, but the service can not be beat.  They scheduled around us and helped completion in time for a major event.  Lonny worked with us on several revised concepts providing thoughtful and candid counsel on what would work and what wouldn't.  We were thrilled with the solution.  When the work team was delayed, they made sure they came for an hour the next day to touch up and ensure perfection.  If you are building any custom storage and want top notch craftsmanship and design that maximizes any space (mine is an unusual loft,) this is the company above all others.

When I initially contacted Lonny to see if he was interested in the projects, he said he was very busy and needed a couple weeks to catch up in order to devote the appropriate amount of energy to new projects, but that he wouldn't forget to call me in a couple to check if I was still interested. I appreciated his honesty. I got another bid in the mean time, but I wasn't blown away by the ideas of the other company, so I waited to hear back from Lonny. He did contact me again at the time he said he would, and we set up a meeting to look at the closets. He got back to me within a week with designs and pricing. All but the master bedroom pricing were comparable to the other bid we had. The master bedroom was significantly more expensive, but took much greater advantage of the space we had and included some doors to cover shelving. This was the kind of creative solution we were looking for and had read about in prior reviews of Everything Closets. The installation went well, and the installers were very professional and courteous. Some of the doors and drawers for our master bedroom came in damaged and weren't to Lonny's approval, so we did have to wait a couple weeks for those to come in and get installed. Overall we are very happy with the results and how much more efficiently we can use our space. We will be contacting Lonny again when we are ready to do our children's closets.

We needed new, functional designs in three closets in our new house, as well as storage shelves and closets added to an additional room. Lonny's designs were exactly what we needed, and the price was great. His installation crew was fantastic- taking the time to show my 2 year old her new closet. We couldn't be happier with the design and work!

Everything went great.  Lonny got me the quotes with drawings.  I had some changes and questions which he addressed quickly.  We then scheduled the work - roughly one week after we had agreed upon the drawings.  His lead guy Mike is fabulous.  Incredibly professional.  The installers worked most of the day and completed all they were able to.  They could not get the color to come out right on a certain finishing touch so they said the would come back later in the week to finish that as well, Mike noticed that you could see the unfinished top of the shelf when you came downstairs so they also came back and installed a finished top.  Lonny and his crew are a real pleasure to work with.

These guys are the best.  We had 3 bids, one with CA closets and Costco discount.  Lonny was the most competitive and the most professional, no nonsense.  No hard sell, just the facts.  You can see why other Angie's list members recommend them so well.

We just moved into a new house.  Originally we had custom organizers put in the two walk-in closets in the master bedroom.  We went out and got three bids.  Everything Closets had the best design and a very competitive price.  All our dealings were with Lonny Goldberg, the owner.  He listened to our needs and discussed multiple options.  He was a pleasure to work with him.  His installation crew was very professional and left the house the way they found it.
After living in the house for two weeks, we realized we needed to organizer 3 more closets.  We contacted Lonny.  He came to the house and within 2 weeks he designed and installed organizers in the 3 closets.  The designs and installation were excellent.

The challenge was the house was easily 100 years old so you can imagine there are no longer any square corners. They did a very neat and accurate job. It was everything we hoped for.

Lonny was great to work with.  His designs were perfect.  He designed them to suit our needs and was able to modify them as we communicated.  The installation was great.  The team was professional.  They worked hard and efficiently.  They were respectful of my house and of my sleeping child.  I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.  Closets turned out beautifully.

Our experience with Everything Closets was fantastic, from beginning to end.  I called Lonny because I figured 80+ stellar Angie's List reviews couldn't be wrong.  He came out to the house to do an estimate.  As I showed him the various closets, he was careful to listen to my needs, and then he gave suggestions on how we might design each closet.  In a couple of instances, he steered me away from more expensive options that I just didn't need.  After we walked through, he took measurements.  All in, the estimate took about an hour.  
In less than a week, Lonny contacted me via e-mail with a detailed plan of the closets along with pricing options.  The closet plans even included a 3-D rendering of what each closet would look like, which was very helpful!  Lonny's prices were very reasonable, cheaper by about 10% than the other estimate I had obtained, and I liked his designs and layouts better as well.  We wanted to make some modifications, based on our storage needs, and Lonny made them right away and sent a revised estimate.  We decided to go with Everything Closets, and Lonny scheduled us for the following week.
The installers were friendly and professional and did an outstanding job.  They were very careful in their work, taking care not to scratch any surfaces in our new house.  
I had asked Lonny if he could install an ironing board cabinet in our laundry room.  It is not part of his typical closet design, but he said he would look into it for me.  He found an ironing board cabinet through an online retailer and asked what I thought of it.  I liked it and asked him to proceed.  When the cabinet came in, however, Lonny was not pleased with its quality, and so he had his carpenter take extra time creating a more sturdy door (and one that matched the rest of the laundry room shelving) for it.  And he did not charge me a penny extra for this!  The fact that he took this much extra time and effort to work on a small component of the project really shows his dedication to his customers.  
All of our closets look amazing and are going to make our home so much more organized and pleasant.  I will continue to use Everything Closets in every home my family occupies in the Chicago area and will wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.  (We have used two different custom closet companies in the past, and they pale in comparison to this one.)  Everything Closets has the winning combination of outstanding workmanship and excellent customer service.

The main reason we chose to go with Everything Closets over a less expensive option was the closet design, the material options, and the quick turnaround times. 
Lonny came out for the initial consult, and he walked through and measured the space while asking a ton of great questions with regards to our lifestyle.  From there, he came up with a design that was exactly what we needed/wanted. Our master closet had a bunch of architectural nuances that could have been a challenge, but Lonny designed around them perfectly - maximized every inch of our space with exactly the right kind of functionality.
He really understands his business and what his customers are looking for, and that showed in his thorough design/drawings. After we settled on the design, his installers were there later the following week to install our closet. I thought that was incredible in terms of turnaround time - pleasantly surprised there.
The installation took 3 days vs. 2 days - the installers had to come back a few days later because of a schedule conflict on their end, but it was not a big deal at all.
This was not a cheap project but I believe on par with other similar competitors. We looked at a lower cost option with a large organization store, but as mentioned, we felt like it was worth it for the right design, which ultimately maximized every inch of our closet space and gave us the most overall value and quality look.
I would highly recommend including Lonny and Everything Closets on your short list for custom closets in the Chicago area. He really gets it, takes great pride in his work and we had a great experience and no surprises.

I provided measurements over the phone for a nursery closet we were preparing. After some time later I did receive some plans. They were nice, but by the time we received them our decision was made.

Lonny of Everything Closets designed and installed a very functional and space efficient organizational shelving system for every closet in my house and my kitchen pantry. At our first meeting, Lonny and I looked at each closet and he asked me specific questions regarding my needs for each particular closet so that he could design an appropriate organizing system. Lonny then took measurements of each closet and presented me a choice for the shape and finish of the knobs and hanging clothes rack. Within a few days I received an email from Lonny with sketches of each closet as well as the cost for each. I was so impressed with the detail and precision of the sketches and felt that the price was fair. A few weeks later, my closets were installed and I was beyond happy with the finished product. The usable space of the closets and pantry was so much larger than before and also quite attractive. It was exactly what I was looking for and needed. I highly recommend Everything Closets and would definitely use them again for future projects.

We are very happy with the look and function of each of the closets. They offered us various options to choose from, and were flexible with what we wanted. They gave us honest opinions about what we did and did not need. Even though we did not need any adjusting of the shelving after the work was completed, they offered to come back anytime to adjust them is we wanted.

Everything went well. Easy to schedule an initial appointment and they provided designs in a timely manner. We scheduled installation soon after receiving the designs. The installers showed up right on time and were courteous and professional. They completed the project quickly and did a thorough cleanup. We are very pleased with the end result.

From the time i contacted Lonny at Everything closets to his follow-up.  The professionalism was above and beyond my expectations. I emailed to inquire about service and actually heard from Lonny within the hour. I was blown away by the response time. I was expecting to wait a few days before I heard from someone. I am still waiting on some of his competitors to get back to me. He was always punctual for the appointments. His follow up and turn around time was incredible. He drew up plans that utilized all the space in the 3 closets. One of the closets was not very functional until the redesign and has become a great place to utilized.
In short I would not hesitate to use this company again or refer him out to my family or friends. The workmanship and follow-up was something that I though had gone to the wayside but Lonny and his company have given me hope there are companies that provide quality, customer oriented service with a great product and reasonable price.

Love this company. Lonny, the owner, is top-notch. He knows his stuff. Lonny took the time to go back and forth with me over the design. He was patient with me as some times I would take a long time to get back to him. I never felt pressure  to "move things along". Lonny came out for a final check of measurements and his team came soon after and knocked the job out in one day. 100% happy with the work and price paid. I am already working with Lonny on the next projects in our house.

Contacted Lonny for an estimate to install closet systems in the Master bedroom and Front Hall closets. He scheduled an appointment for that same week and came out to measure. While Lonny was measuring, I was looking through his design book of completed projects. I was inspired to also get an estimate on a wall-to-wall bookcase in a bedroom/home office. Lonny looked at the Master bedroom closet and said that I was already making maximum use of my space and that the closet system would only be aesthetic until I purged unnecessary items from my wardrobe. I agreed with him 100% and decided to postpone the Master Bedroom closet for a later time. Lonny took extra time listening to what I needed in my space. He asked all the right questions which really helped to get the right design for my needs. I Received the estimates with drawings for the remaining two projects within two days via e-mail. They were amazing. After I returned the contract with a down payment, Lonny contacted me and came out to take final measurements so that he could begin constructing the custom cabinets. We scheduled a date for installation 3 weeks out. Lonny contacted me within 2 weeks to confirm that the work would be completed on schedule. I informed him that I needed to change the install date due to a family conflict and to give me extra time to have both spaces painted. He was very understanding and we scheduled the install for the two weeks later. Prior to the install, Lonny called to let me know who would be doing the work and when I could expect them. They arrived on time and were even a little early. They were neat and professional. I couldn't be more pleased with the final product and will be doing that Master closet soon. We really liked Lonnie's professionalism and knowledge.  He took the time to listen to us, make suggestions on how to better utilize the space we had, and answer all of our questions. He then provided drawings and prices within a couple of days.  Because Everything Closets has a lot of customers--they are that good!--it took a few weeks to get the closets installed.  Lonnie will work with you to meet your needs and make everything go smoothly.  If you are planning to organize a closet, I would suggest you call Everything Closets 1-2 months in advance of when you want it to be installed. This way you will get on the schedule for an installation date.

They were great to work with.  The pricing was excellent and Lonny did a great job with our closet.

I called Lonny and explained my project. He explained that he was really busy, but would come as soon as he could, but would understand if I was in a hurry. I told him I was willing to wait based on the Angie List reviews. He came 10 days later, I believe, and we walked through the projects and I explained what I wanted/needed. He gave great advice and said he would do what I wanted, but that he thought some of my ideas would not be the best use of the space. I appreciated the fact that he was tactful, and that he listened to my needs. He took measurements and a few days later he sent along a great layout. He explained that it would be a couple of weeks to get me on the schedule. I was not in a big hurry and already had been warned that he was backed up. We decided to upgrade the master closet, but loved the layout he designed and were pleased to get on the schedule. Lonny emailed me a few days later and told me he had an unexpected opening for the following Monday if I was available. Exactly on time, Lonny's installers came to the door. They were professional and courteous. By the end of the afternoon, I had new closets. I love them! The master closet is so organized and I can see all of the ties, shoes, accessories, dress clothes. It makes preparing for work so much easier. My kids' closets are so excellent and have transformed their rooms. Lonny's suggestions were so smart and I am glad I left it to the professional.

I did some major upgrades in a penthouse loft and had at least a dozen different crews in and out for more than two months.  Lonny and his team were by far the most professional and efficient.  From his initial (free) quote and conception to the pricing and design, he was personally in contact.  The two installers were the most polite guys I've ever met and they did the whole job in just a few hours.  At the end I wanted a few more tie racks to accommodate my wardrobe and Lonny responsively said he'd order a couple more and install them when they were next in the area.  TOTALLY would recommend these guys!
