In this location since 1988, we offer sales and service of portable and built-in vacuum cleaners to residential and commercial clients. We service Naperville, Illinois and surrounding communities.

I went in and I knew that I wanted to buy a certain vacuum. Mr. Wehrli showed me vacuums and he recommended an Electrolux. When we use the vacuum, it doesn’t look like there’s anything on the floor but you can hear it picking up. It has a lot of suction. He explained the difference between a canister and an upright. He showed us how to maintain it and he was willing to take the time to educate us and pass on his knowledge.
Description of Work: I used Wehrli’s Vacuum Center in April. He educated me on the proper vacuum for our home.

I would not return for vacuum repair because of the professionalism. After finding this vendor on Angie's List with 3 positive reviews, I thought I was in good hands. I first called to inquire about bringing my vacuum in for a repair estimate. The phone call went well as the serviceman seemed knowledgeable about my Kenmore vacuum and their ability to find parts for my vacuum. Great! I headed over the next day. When I entered the shop with my vacuum, the same serviceman greeted me and quickly attended to me. I was the only customer. I explained that my vacuum was turning on and off as I vacuumed and it seemed as if a connection in the vacuum head was shorting out as I pushed and pulled my vacuum. After explaining to me what possibly could be wrong, he told me they would not exactly know the problem until they took the vacuum apart. So far, all was going well. Then he offered me the "recommended tune-up" for an additional $45 or so dollars. No problem, I get that they want to offer those tune-ups to keep your vacuum running well. However, the man's professionalism went south when I expressed my concern that this may be a costly repair and I did not know if it was worth doing if more than $60. I asked if he could call me with an estimate after he performed his diagnostic tests yet before beginning his repair work. This request did not seem unreasonable to me as he said the cost to fix the problem could be $25 up to $100 or more. The vacuum only cost $300 so I did not want to repair if it was too costly. At this point although there were still no other customers waiting for help in the shop, he began to be brusque with me. He said that they don't call everyone before doing all repairs, but they would note to call me if I requested a call if the repair exceeded a specified dollar amount. His tone was not pleasant and I felt as if he was bothered. Moving on, when I asked for a little more detail about what is involved in the "recommended tune-up" and if it is really necessary given the current condition/age of my vacuum to help me make my decision to have that work done or not, he was again brisk and said "I do not have time to provide you all the details." I did not want to know every single check and inspection, I just wanted to understand what I was gaining for spending this additional money. Again, I felt rushed and discounted as a customer requesting more information about what work was going to be done. At that point, I should have just left with my vacuum, but I just wanted it repaired. What I did do since I did not like the service and lack of explanation he was providing me, I asked him not to do the "recommended tune-up." at this time. At this point another customer entered the shop and must have overheard this conversation. She then said to me quietly, "I would want to know too what you are paying for and if you really need a tune-up." Lastly, as he was writing up the service ticket I asked if it was at all possible to have my vacuum back in one week. He said that he would not promise me that as he had "30 vacuums in front of mine". I said that I understood that but if he could just make a note of my request if possible to return it to me within a week I would appreciate it. He said he could not nor did he make me feel like even cared to try to get my vacuum repaired with a week. Again, I should have just left WITH my vacuum and gone elsewhere. And it ended up taking 9 days to be repaired. I told my son whom was with me that this serviceman was brisk and did not make me as the customer feel good about the visit to his shop. Note to self, in the future just walk away. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or what? The good news is that the vacuum is working fine.

When they were installing the piping, they dropped a piece of glue onto some furniture, this could have been avoided had the furniture been moved. They offered right away to pay to have this furniture repaired, but it turned out nothing needed to be done. Because most homes are built with a central vacuum system, nobody else was willing to try this job, they were the only ones to take this job. They also added the system to our second floor. They even added outlets to our garage and basement. They were reasonably priced. This was a major job, over $1,000.00. Their service was outstanding.
