Wonderful! He was friendly and punctual and took care of the issues in a very timely manner. We will use him for all our future electrical needs & projects.

Dan stayed late on a Friday night to get 'er done. I appreciated that. Great work, reasonable rate and materials.

Dan was attentive to my request for installation. Kept great contact, was on time and performed the work without incident at a fair price.

Early on Monday morning I requested services for a repair to an electrical wire going into my garage. I heard from no one until Don called me about 3:45. He asked if he could come over and check things out, I told him I would be home at 4:20, he said, perfect I'll text you. When he hadn't arrived by 4:30, I assumed he would wait until morning when there would be light to work. I received a text about 4:40 saying he'd be there in an hour. He arrived at 5:20. It was dark outside. I explained to him that there was no power going into the garbage, that hubby had already troubleshooted that, and that we thought it was probably a repair my husband did about 10 years ago to the wire going into the garage (I had hit it with a shovel and hubby did a patch). About 10 minutes later he came into the house to tell me "the bad news," the negative wire was dead and we'd need to run a new line. He told me I owed him $95 and that he's text me with an estimate for a repair. He then looked at my basement to see how to run a new line. 4 days later he texts me, telling me he'd charge $875 to fix it. Hubby and I were already upset about him charging me $95 to tell me what we already knew. I wanted someone to fix my problem, and he didn't. So hubby decided to just fix it himself today. In less than an hour he had it repaired. And this guy wanted to charge me $875 on top of the $95 I paid him for just showing up? Sorry, but it was a $95 job. He could have and should have fixed it on his first visit. I even showed him where to dig to fix the wire. Either he doesn't listen, or he likes to make quick money on 15 minute visits to diagnose problems customers already know about. We weren't happy with this exchange at all.

Great job, Dan fit us into his schedule. Will definitely look to use Select again for electrical needs.

I called him out then he told me he didn't have the fixture I needed on his truck but he would screw a light bulb in the kitchen. to which I said, "I called you out, and am going to have one light bulb in my ceiling?, I called you here, I thought you would take care of it. I thought you were competent?" He then said he would go to the store to get some. He got the new long brass light bulb fixture. It took several hours, he had to go to the store to get them. I shouted at him and he told me I was scaring him. I just couldn't believe he wanted to just put a light bulb. I'm not sure I could ask him again. He didn't seem to think that it was urgent that I have my fixture fixed that day. He told me he would put a light bulb then he would see what he could do about founding the brass fixture. May be because it was the end of the day and he was tired and he didn't feel like running to the store to get it. I told him, I wanted it fixed, I could put up a light bulb by my self. I dont need to pay to have it put up

The electrician was flexible in scheduling, arrived on time, and did a great job.

Dan was GREAT! He was quick to respond, came and did the work three days later. He was professional and did a great job. I am so happy to have these fixtures hung!! I will for sure call him with any future electrical work!!!

Recommend Dan highly. Good communication skills, reasonable rates.. Got the job done on time and on budget.. he had to deal with some obsolete security light issues and did not charge extra when that issue came up. Kept us informed throughout the entire process. Only negative, would have liked to have had a cleaner install.. old garage, old school paneling.. the paneling was not sawed out cleanly, was broken out roughly.. not really a big deal as mostly hidden behind a storage shelf.

Dan answered my email inquiry, and I expected he would give an estimate. He arrived promptly to my home and I showed him what I needed done. I figured he would quote me an estimate and date of when he could perform the service. Dan saw what I needed and said I can complete this right now - I was floored and excited. Even though I hadn't printed the Angie List coupon he gave me the discount for being having the membership. He pulled up his truck with the parts and equipment and went to work. I think the entire job took about 20 - 30 minutes. Once he completed it he was ready to leave. He was incredible and the price was reasonable and, because I'm moving and this repair was part of the home inspection he wrote the receipt to ensure that the items listed were fully covered so I could present the receipt at closing. Dan is AWESOME!!! No question I'd hire him again for any electrical need!

Just moved into our new (old) house and through Angie's list we bought a whole house inspection certificate with Select Electrical. We knew our house needed work upgrading its electrical system but thankfully it wasn't as bad as expected. Dan explained to us that we didn't need to change any wiring. Seeing we had an old panel we decided on changing that. 
Dan performed the job nicely, and i will hire him for future upgrades.

Dan was great! I originally chose him due to his outstanding reviews on Angie's List.  We purchased our home at the end of 2013 and knew were not sure of some of the electrical done on the property.  Many of the outlets weren't functional and most recently the dimmer in our dining room went out as well.  Dan showed up promptly to our home where I guided him on some of our issues.  He was able to decifer that most of our first floor, a garage outlet and two of the outside plugs which are on opposite sides of the house are on one breaker had gone out.   This specialty breaker had been tripped and needs to be reset on its own.  Dan educated me on how to do this if it happens in the future as well as to just watch it for repetitive issues, which could mean it would need to be replaced.  He was very forthcoming in letting me know that he wasn't finding any major problems during his routine inspection that we paid for and that everything as far as the electrical was pretty solid.  This was a relief, but even more of a relief that I had found someone so trustworthy into my home!!! While the dining room was an easy fix it was something he was nice enough to repair that day.  Dan has many years of experience and was great to work with.  I will be keeping his number handy for the future!
