This work was done on my parents home but I'm submitting this report since I researched the companies on the list and made my recommendations to them. I kept in close contact with them throughout the project (from initial estimate to completed work). They were extremely satisfied with the quality of the work, the manner in which it was done, and the attitude of those employees they came in contact with.

Showed up unexpectedly (we never got a call notifying us of the starting date) but completed the entire job in one day. From all indications they did a fine job.

The entire job, removal, replacement, and cleanup was 99% completed in one 12 hour day starting around 7:30AM. One vent was installed the next day. Since I was not at home the second day, I was not certain that the final step had been accomplished. It took a couple of days to confirm that the work was completed; my only (very minor) complaint but in all other respects they were very responsive to my questions and phone calls.

They did an excellent job starting with putting up plywood to protect the garage door while removing the remaining shingles. They took great care in identifying bad plywood and replacing it. I had originally installed some trim incorrectly. They suggested that it be corrected which they did with my agreement. They were very careful with having the shingles installed correctly. They used chalk lines to make sure the ridge cap was straight. The crew was very courteous. They policed the yard for dropped nails. They picked up all of the debris. They neatly stacked all of my extra materials in the back yard. In short, I was very impressed with the entire project.

The roofer pulled out the leftover shingles we had stored in the garage and the first available dry day came out to repair. We were not sure when to expect them but did not need to be present when the work was completed.

We decided to go with Nyberg purely because of the high rating on Angie's List Peterson was a little more expensive but not enough to sway our decision. They we very responsive and gave us a very professional proposal.

Did a decent job. I noticed some ponding in one area and they came out to fix it at no additional charge.

They gave me an estimate on the day they promised. I received a written estimate describing the work. They came and did the work the day they said they were coming and cleaned up the site very well. I would highly recommend them for any roofing job.

The original estimate was increased, as the contractor indicated. He had a hard time locating the repair part.

Spoke to this firm and scheduled an appointment to quote on repairs. Appt. never kept.

They were good overall and had a good price. They took a long time to get me the estimate.

Very pleasant dealing with the office to schedule the appointment, and the representative was prompt keeping the appointment. He was also knowledgeable and suggested options for the repair and patiently discussed the particulars with each. Billing was as agreed. Very positive experience. When it's time for a new roof, I'll be calling Peterson.

Although we did not get to use their services, it was a very pleasant experience overall.

WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT OUR RANCH HOUSE IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS WE KNEW THAT WE WOULD NEED A NEW ROOF. DURING THE SUMMER I CHECKED OUT ROOFING WORK GOING ON AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I SAW PETERSON ROOFING DOING WORK ON A HOUSE ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE OURS, AND THE WORK BEING DONE WAS EXCELLENT. I GAVE THEM A CALL AND THE COMPANY FOLLOWED UP WITHOUT DELAY, VISITING THE HOUSE, DELIVERING AN ESTIMATE AND LEAVING BEHIND SAMPLES OF SHINGLE COLORS AND OPTIONS. THE ESTIMATE SEEMED FAIR TO US. WE CHOSE A COLOR AND CONTRACTED WITH THEM TO DO THE WORK. THE PETERSON ROOFING CREW ARRIVED AT AN EARLY HOUR ON THE DAY THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO WORK AND THE WORK BEGAN IMMEDIATELY. THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AND NO DELAYS. THE ROOFING WAS FINISHED ON TIME. THE YARD WAS LEFT CLEAN. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND PETER ROOFING TO ANYONE IN THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND VERY HARD WORKERS. THE CLEANUP WAS GREAT. I WOULD GLADLY VOUCH FOR THE COMPANY.

I CALLED PETERSON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE HIGH COST OF SERVICE AND TOLD THEM OF THE OTHER ESTIMATE. THEY SAID THEY HAD TO PAY $125/HR FOR THEIR GUY REGARDLESS, AND THEY KIND OF GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND. THEY CALLED ME BACK LATER TO SAY THEY WOULD REPLACE THE SHINGLES AT NO COST, BUT I WENT AHEAD AND USED THIS OTHER COMPANY.

DIDNT SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL; THEY WERE THERE ON TIME GOOD CLEAN-UP; FIXED SMALL PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY; WOULD USE AGAIN
