The work crew arrived when they said they would. Completed the job in a timely manner. I was so pleased with the job they did on a rental property that I had them replace the shingles on my home. They have also replaced the shingles on the home of one family member and are scheduled to do another. I think using Peterson Roofing for four homes says we are definitely satisfied with the work performed.

They were very prompt and very professional. Their quote was a complete package. The quote is for $10000 to do the house and the garage. I will using them.

They guy fell off the roof and I was out there too; he landed right on top of me and it was a real blow to my head. I realize that he didn?t do it on purpose and that it was an accident. I couldn?t get anyone to call me back even though I was just calling to let him know what was going on. The price was a little on the high side but they had good reviews from the Village of Mount Prospect.

Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Estimating process went fine and they left sampes with us to review. We went with architectural shingles; the work crew showed up when scheduled - I told them to take there time (their jaws dropped to the ground upon hearing that) - I'd rather have the work take longer and have a good accurate job done. It was hot out, but they had the roof done in 1 day (tear-off and replacement). A separate crew came to do the gutters - this was done in about 2 days. I was very satisfield with the job and will use them again - if need be; its a 30 year roof!

The guy that gave us a bid from Peterson Roofing wasn't with the company when we called to ask questions 2 weeks later. I'm not sure why he left the company, but I felt some disconnection when calling and he wasn't with them. They weren't very responsive. When I called, they didn't call me back until 2-3 days later. There was a lot of work required on my part due to the vagueness of the quote. The bid was confusing. It wasn't as detailed as I would have liked it. I wasn't impressed with their responsiveness or attention to detail when giving the quote. I wouldn't call them again. They did atleast talk to me and give me a bid, and some roofers won't even do that.

They gave me a quote 6 months prior called me up to touch base and the quote was unchanged. They did the work a week latter. A full 1/3rd of the plywood was rotten, they took pictures and had me come up to inspect for myself. Very friendly and collaborative

Good quality work, reasonable price, communication could be a little better, overall good experience, recommended.

I did not feel that it would be a good working relationship with them.

During the home inspection, the buyer requested that we have the roof repaired. We called Peterson and they never even showed up or called us back.

We were pleased. When they started, they talked to me. After that they just started working. They did it quick and cleaned up everything. I was impressed with the clean up processes.

Called Mike at Peterson. He came by and studied the house, wrote a detailed quote and left a contract. I called him with questions, we made a few modifications, and signed it. Work was performed when the weather cleared. High quality work.

From initial contact, the job was timely done; the workers were very careful in removing old shingles and wood, and cleaned everything up. Jim Peterson was very honest and clear in answering all questions and followed-up with any calls made on additional questions. He was very helpful in explaining how claim is handled since we had hail damage recognized by our insurance company.

I was given a very competitive estimate. Once I signed the contract, the roofing crew was ready to begin 1 1/2 weeks later. The job was difficult but the work was completed within 5 days. After completion, Mr Peterson provided a written warranty.

We had a small leak, but we wanted to have our roof repaired. We called them and the guy said he would come out between 11 and 12 and he was there at 11:15. He came and quoted the job and told us what we could do and charged us a reasonable price.

I was impressed with them. The gentleman whom I spoke to was very forthcoming in terms of what he thought regarding our current roof. He was very upfront in terms of cost. We haven?t yet got the work done by them, but we got a quote from them. They didn?t charge anything for the estimation. I haven?t had any problems with them so far. I may use their services in the future.

Extremely disappointed. Estimator was several hours late. He finally called almost 3 hours late and was very rude. Didn't seem very interested in figuring out the problem. Classic "used car salesman" attitude. Wanted $3000 for partial tearoff; didnt' want to quote a localize repair. Was very interested in selling "cost adders" instead of just fixing the problem. Some of the conversation and info. on quote was a bit deceptive and simply incorrect. Went with Feze Roofing instead for $1600; my house is now dry & I kept the remaining $1400 in my pocket. Disappointed because Petersen reviews well on Angie's. Just seemed very reluctant to do smaller jobs.

Overall, a so-so experience. They did come out promptly to give us an estimate and when we scheduled it, they were able to do the work even though we wouldn't be on site. We had 4 areas of leakage from the flat room into the garage (around edges and railing posts). Petersen did patch extensively. However, within a week or so, after another heavy rain, we still had leaks at 2 of the original points. We asked that they come out when we were there so we could show them exactly where the leaks were. They didn't show up when promised and when I called the next day, they said they had showed up later in the day and repatched - which is not what we wanted (they didn't have to go thru extra work - we just wanted them to take care of the 2 remaining areas). After the next rain - yep, 1 of the original areas was still leaking. When I called, was disappointed by the tone used (i.e. implied I was being difficult and acted like it was my imagination). I treated them with respect each time I spoke with them - just wanted the job finished and no leaks. Never received any kind of explanation for why we still had leakage - we were more than willing to meet with them to try to figure out the problem. We do appreciate that they tacked down some shingles on the main part of the house at no charge. However, based on our experience, when we have the flat roof replaced in 2009, we will most likely not consider Petersen Roofing.

They worked with me as far as I needed they were very clean and very nice and did not talk down to me they are very nice people. I needed something fixed that really wasn't there fault and they came our right away to fix it.

The experience was very good. They were the only ones who showed up to do the estimate. They cleaned up well. They took pictures of the work that they did so that we could view that after they were done.

I was completely pleased. The crew arrived on time, did the work and cleaned up extremely well. The work except for the gutter was done in one day. The gutter was installed the next morning. The shingles were delivered just when needed - the dump truck arrived and departed on the day of the work.

Real easy to work with, answered all questions, very clear and precise explaining all information. They cleaned up well, made modifications per my request to the gutters and they came back out to fix any issues.

The company replaced our roof on a day where the temperature was below the manufacturer's requirements despite my asking if it was too cold to put the roof on before they started. It has leaked when it rains or when snow melts since then. They refuse to take any responsibility for the roof leaks, saying it's the windows (even though the damage is above the windows) and that it's "condensation" due to poor attic ventilation. They are now trying to sell us soffit vents to fix the "condensation" problem before even considering it could be the roof they installed. Our ceilings are being damaged by the water leaking from the roof and they refuse to do anything to fix it other than trying force us to buy soffit vents. We paid them nearly $5000 to have a roof that doesn't leak and instead it's worse than it was before. In addition to that, they damaged the neighbors' screen while removing our old roof and left metal shards, nails, and roofing material all over the lawn.

I talked to a kind, considerate man who used my name repeatedly, talked me through the roofing process, explained the costs for a roofing inspection and the free estimate and gave me a rough estimate on roof replacement. We haven't yet purchased the property, but when we do I will definitely be calling him for an estimate.

After the severe August storm that ripped roofs from numerous homes, our leak seemed insignificant compared to whatever everyone else was dealing with, but we needed help. Peterson was the only company that returned our phone call when we called while watching water streaming into our family room. The company explained they had people missing roofs so we would be about six weeks out from the date of the storm to perform the work but they came out within a week for an estimate. We certainly had no trouble with that. About seven weeks later, they called and said we were on the schedule for that week but the changing weather could cause a delay. The roofer came out and worked steadily for two days fixing the mess that others had caused, with a one day delay because of rain. Very professional and honest, and most importantly: no leak!
