It didn't work out very well. I got a deal for $99 and he came. And it was like, basically you got to throw that $99 into additional work and not just take care of the two hours or whatever that I bought already, he just wanted to get more work out of it. And I said, well, I don't want to give you more work that's why I bought the $99 thing. And then he quoted me something that's extremely easy to fix and it was $800 and I was like get out of here. I was getting quote for $400. So, he really didn't honor his deal, he just basically wanted more work out of it and didn't want do the work that I paid for. He is a typical type of contractor. He was like, I don't do any kind of carpentry, so I all I can do is electric so you got to make sure of everything. I wanted to install a vent on the exterior of the house and he wanted somebody else to do that part. I was like, that's a basic thing an electrician should know how to do, like, just do it and he wouldn't do it.

Great!  George was very helpful from the start.  He was very flexible in making a time that worked for us and showed up punctually when promised.  He got right to work and did a lot of troubleshooting to trace the electrical wiring in our home to get the work done efficiently and without any damage to our home in his exploration.  It was a job well done!

He was very nice but took a long time doing the work, thus increasing the price. Two of the three ceiling fan lights turn on randomly, many times at 2 or 3 in the morning.

"Thank you, you were also nice,but you should have gone with new fans, it takes longer time to try to retro fit used fans and install after market parts. Why is that my fault that the remotes turn fans ON on there own. also you failed to mention all the other work I did within that time period. Troubleshoot and restore power for wet bar in basement,repair bath fan not working in basement powder room, troubleshoot and restore power in basement bathroom,rework and repair incorrect wiring kitchen 3 -way, add dimmer for kitchen light"

This was the third time that I was using George for electrical work.  I called George and left a message and he called me back within a day.  We scheduled a time about a week later and he came by as promised.  I showed him the work and he promptly got to work.  When I wasn't sure about something he made suggestions - such as outlet location.  He was able to figure out how to get my steam shower working by suggesting that call the company and inquire about a updated switch.  He was right! I ordered a new switch and he was able to install it.  I also was having trouble with some can lights on my covered front porch.  He suggested a retrofit fixture which turned out great.  There was also a phone jack that we wanted removed and he not only removed it but he had drywall compound in his truck and he patched the hole for me - an unexpected but appreciated surprise!.  George is easy going and casual but he knows his stuff.

We needed some electrical work done, so we once again called upon Karidas Electric.  This is the second time we've used George, and once again, we were not disappointed.  George is top-notch - he is always punctual, professional, and is extremely knowledgeable.  Seriously, if you need any electrical work done, do yourself a favor and hire a real pro: Karidas Electric!

Electrician did not respond at first, I had to call him.  He promptly came to my home and spent 1/2 hour assessing  the situation.  He claimed that it would cost several thousand dollars to permanately fix the problem.  A week later he replaced it with a higher voltage transformer and charged me an additional $30, and took 1/2 hour at my home to relpace it.  All lights worked.   Within 3 hours one light went dead and hasn't worked since.

"I returned your call soon after you called me,I spent an hour each time I was there setting up tools to crawl thru the crawl space,and additional hour searching for the parts to repair the transformer,so you got your coupon worth it's value there. I also told you that your lights were installed incorrectly and your better off with new lights, your existing lights(halogen) have prove to be unsafe and a poor source of light,they get very hot and damage the bulb sockets over time.Your only choices today are LED lighting ,a kitchen your size would cost minimum $1000.00 . You also told me that you were never satisfied from any contractor you found on Angie's list, so I knew from that moment on, I would probably not be able to satisfy you .also you paid $199.00 for your coupon and you paid me $30.00 for the parts,How did you come up with a total of $263.00"

George showed up on time. He had to install 2 ceiling fans which required him going into the attic on one of the hottest days to install the electrical boxes for each fan. He also changed out an outside lighting fixture. It took about 6 hours for the whole job (installing electric boxes, assembling fans, installing fans and installing new outside light). He was very polite and cleaned up after he finished. Would definitely hire again.

George contacted me soon after my initial phone call and we set up a date for the work to be done. We changed the date to accommodate an emergency at another job George was working on. That was no problem for me. George arrived on time and introduced himself and we discussed options for possible future work - specifically outdoor lighting and the installation of an outdoor outlet. George then advised about the installation of four light fixtures - one in the garage and three in the basement. I liked his suggestions and George proceeded on the jobs. He completed all the work and cleaned up the areas, not that there really was any mess. George advised me about what to purchase for a future job and gave me an estimate for that work. George is very knowledgeable, professional, and provides excellent service.  He made sure the new configuration for our attic fan included a cutoff switch to comply with code and moved the attic light so it would provide more lighting in the attic space.  I am pleased with his work.
If more electrical work is needed in the future, we will give George a call.

George responded to request for bid quickly. A rainy day provided a break in is schedule so that he was able to fo inside work at our home. The work was completed as needed and he was very neat making sure to clean up. No surprises on costs and made recommendations that improved the requested lighting changes in our workroom.

Absolutely top-notch!  George arrived on time, quickly sized-up the effort and what would be needed, and set to work.  He is obviously very knowledgeable and very professional.  Our job was a relatively small but difficult one, installing a new ceiling exhaust fan in a bathroom that had never had a fan before.  It is an older home with plaster ceilings, which made the job even more challenging.  George installed the new fan perfectly, with a minimum of disruption, and the result was very neat and tidy.  In addition to performing great work, George was also very concerned about keeping things clean and protecting everything from the dust that would result from cutting into plaster, so he made sure things were either removed or covered before he began.  He also made sure everything was clean and picked-up after the job was finished.  All-in-all, we were very satisfied, and plan to use George again the near-future for some additional electrical work we need done.
